Horrible checkin process. Also your room has to pass inspection before you check-out or your 100 euro deposit is not refunded. Also you have to make and strip beds and haul the sheets and towels out.

Great location, lovely pool! The rooms are spacious. It would. We didn't know until we left that there were some breakfast products available in the building next to the pool. Also, there wasn't any info on the gym. A bit more comprehensive info in English (probably other languages too) would really help. Also, check in time of 5pm is really late, and check out of 10 is too early. I appreciate they need to clean a whole apartment, but its difficult to work with those times.

Not as good as the photos appear.
Check in was a bit of a hassle and they required a 300 euro deposit that they conveniently forgot to refund after checking out that we had to call a few days later to sort out. The room wasn’t that clean when we checked in and you have to make the beds yourself with sheets provided. They require you to strip the beds before you check out and have room inspected by the housekeeper to see if you cleaned up to their satisfaction. We felt like we were working for them rather than the other way around. The biggest problem there was the lack of sufficient parking and you have to fend for yourself if you go out for dinner and come back to a lot that is packed beyond capacity. The kids enjoyed the pool and it was ok for a night, but I would not go back.

The accommodation was ok and good value. However, there is hardly any staff - 4 for approx 300 guests! Reception is only open for a 3 hour window in afternoon. We stayed for 1 week, and saw no evidence of any cleaners / cleaning. There is a communal pool and gym which you would use at your peril, quite literally

Not for everyone, but not without its strengths
It all depends on what you're looking for. If you want a place with good service, a place where you're treated as a guest, and not a student at a boarding school, than this isn't your spot. If, however, you're more concerned with location, cleanliness, and overall facility upkeep, Vacancéole - Residence Le Clos du Rocher fits the bill. Personally, I don't care for staying at places which are more concerned about warning you of what you can't do, than they are about what they can do to make your stay a more pleasant one. Threatening signs about overage charges, and requirements like making your own beds and striping them after your stay is completed, bug me. I realize that this is just a matter of personal preference, so I rated them a 3. For me they would rate a 2, but I know I don't speak for everyone. It's a really pretty town to visit though. Not much to do, but beautiful.

Close to the village
I came at the begining of October but it was still particularly hot (29deg). Staff at reception was friendly. The appartment was in the ground floor and clean, but with tiles on the floor I could clearly hear the noise of moving furniture from the appartment above. Shame that with such a warm weather we could not use the swimming pool (was empty despite the fact the web site specify it is open up to 31st of October...). The fitness room is very small with only 3 items. The breakfast was all right, even if expensive for what it was. If you stay more than one night, it is much better to take it in your appartement instead. I was a bit cold at night, despite adding the only additional blanket available.

Apartment complex right in the middle of prehistoric attractions of the lovely Valle Vezeres in the town of Les Eyzies. Although self catering more of a Hotel experience with cleaning change of linens etc on a regular basis rather than the more camping experience of other similar complexes I've stayed in the past. Seems to be run by only 4 people all of whom are friendly. Lucia and Laurant in reception etc have excellent English and are very helpful. If anything the resort undersells itself. There is a small breakfast area which we didn't use. Nice Pool. Secure car parking. Laundry on site with iron and ironing board to borrow.

This was a great place to stay with a family. Check-in was easy and quick (and they even arranged key pick-up/drop-off places for when the office was closed). The apartment was cozy for a family of four, but perfectly fine as a base for touring the area. The kids loved the heated pool.

Short walk to village and good restaurants.Approx. 1k. to Haut de gaume cave - excellent if your interested in prehistory! Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were functional but well equipped.

This place is new, so everything was in great condition in a largish complex with a swimming pool and laundry onsite. It is a very easy stroll to the village of Les Eysies de Tayac where ther are some wonderful restaurants to choose from. In addition, it is an easy drive to all the beautiful places in the Vezere and Dordogne valleys, but you need a car to gaet there.

Dès notre arrivée nous constatons que les conditions de l’offre ne sont pas respectées.
Pas de laverie pas d’ascenseur ! Tous deux en panne depuis plusieurs mois !
Puis le premier en décrochant le pommeau de douche tout l’ensemble de fixation est tombé car rouillé et le tube en métal présentant également de la rouille m’a ouvert le petit orteil droit.
Je note également les joints de douche complètement perméables .(l’appartement du dessous va certainement en subir les conséquences !
Des brûlures sur la tête de lit mais personne n’a envisagé de mettre du LED avant que cela ne prenne feux !
Pour couronner le tout impossible d’avoir une température de douche normale toute la famille s’est brûlée au moins 1 fois durant le séjour même en étant à fond sur l’eau froide

Sejour de 2 nuits en famille et amis.
Notre logement était propre et complet, ce qui n'était pas le cas de celui de nos amis. Piscine très appréciable et bien entretenue. Pour le reste c'est très correct pour le prix. Placement très bien aussi pour accéder à pieds partout

Arrivée dans notre petit appartement, terrasse toute petite et vue sur une bute de terre ou derrière passe une route, cela ne donne pas envie d'y prendre un verre. Literie super dur. Même si ce n'était que pour 3 nuits, nous avons écourté à 2 nuits tellement on ne s'y sentait pas bien.

Résidence familiale, idéalement située pour visiter cette région. Ce n'est pas un hôtel, mais un ensemble de petits appartements. Ménage bien fait à notre arrivée, il fait faire soi-même les lits. Le ménage n'est pas fait durant le séjour et les serviettes ne sont pas changées non plus, il faut le savoir et agir en conséquence. La kitchenette permet de faire des repas simples, ainsi que les petits déjeuners qui peuvent être pris en collectif sinon. Le wifi est ok. Les parkings sont fermés la nuit, un peu petits mais on arrive à se garer quand même... La piscine est agréable en rentrant le soir, mais assez chargée en monde, tout le monde voulant en profiter au même moment ! La salle fitness est dans réel intérêt, 3 machines que je n'ai pas vu utilisées une seule fois dans la semaine. Attention, si vous voulez cuisiner, amenez le nécessaire de base (huile sel éponge liquide vaisselle etc) car rien n'est fourni.

L'appartement est bien, seul bémol c'est qu'il nous a fallu faire les lits à l'arrivée et les défaire au départ, en les ramenant avec les serviettes à la laverie. C'est dommage que ce ne soit pas inclus dans une prestation hôtelière.

La résidence est calme et bien située (en empruntant le chemin en face à pieds on arrive en centre village en 5 minutes). Il s'agit en fait d'appartements qui peuvent être loués en formule classique ou en formule hôtelière (c'est la formule hôtelière qui est proposée sur le site, donc pas de caution à verser). Les draps, serviettes et savons sont fournis comme à l'hôtel (il faut faire son lit), mais prévoyez une éponge, un torchon et du liquide vaisselle si vous souhaitez utiliser la kitchenette car il faut qu'elle soit nettoyée avant restitution de l'appartement. La piscine de la résidence est utilisable sans surcoût mais nous ne l'avons pas testée. L'enregistrement à notre arrivée a été rapide et l'accueil sympathique. Gros plus pour la salle de bain spacieuse et sa grande baignoire. Seul petit bémol, le lit moyennement confortable.
