Airport shuttle for pick up and drop off, was efficient and easy to locate the driver when exitingthe airport. Very friendly, carried our luggage to the car and into the motel. Friendly reception staff, carried luggage to the room. Room was very clean and cool with air conditioning running in anticipation of our stay. A little crystallisation in the tile grout in the bathroom but other than that, it was very modern with USB ports in the power points and a very resonably priced mini bar. (No alcohol) A gift shop in the spacious and comfortable foyer. The buffet breakfast was terrific with a wide variety to meet all tastes. I recommend this property as it was extremely convenient as a stop over port to the atolls.
The township is not tourist friendly, use it as a layover, not for vacation.

Good price, good location, helpful and kind staff. Be aware it is very near to the big mosque so you will hear the call to prayer at 5 am. Good breakfast buffet. Airport shuttle for free.

Airport pick-up was really efficient as was check-in. All staff in the hotel were very friendly, professional and helpful. Room had everything that you need for a stop over - TV, minibar, aircon. The room, bed and duvet were on the small side. It was very loud outside throughout the night, however part of this was due to the extra prayer calls during Ramadan. The rooftop restaurant had very good food and very good service, for a very affordable price.

Room, though was small, was very clean. It was just right for an overnight stay in Male. Proximity to the ferry is very convenient - 5 minutes walk to the ferry terminal and 8 minutes ferry ride to Velana International Airport.
Staff is very friendly. I forgot my hat in the room after check out and reached out to the staff. They have promised to arrange drop off at our resort counter in the seaplane terminal so I can get it.

Free breakfast buffet was a wonderful surprise (and quite nice) but our room was definitely just average. The bathroom was hot and hot water for shower lasted only a short time. The front desk failed to share an important message so we could have missed our sea plane flight. Need to research when home but I think I was charged more than Expedia price posted when booked.

The hotel in general exceeded my expectations. As a road warrior I typically end up staying at Hampton inn type properties. Unima Grand is the Hampton inn of Male. Great familiar like environment to make you feel comfortable.
The staff connected via WhatsApp prior to arrival at to make the transfer from the airport to hotel seamless. Check in was smooth with formalities filled out while I waited at the airport.
Breakfast and the on site restaurant was exceptional! Lots of fresh local offerings at a very good price.
Only 2 areas for improvement. Wifi was limited to 1 device at a time. My door had some issue with the lock. Possibly a low battery. Again, nothing really to complain about.

One of the worst experiences I’ve had in a hotel!
My room smelled of mold, the phone in my room didn’t work to call reception or room service, the WiFi reset every 10-20min which was extremely annoying and to top it all off there was no warm water in the shower.
The highlight this morning was the fire alarm going off because some idiot decided to smoke in his/her room.
Obviously this is not the hotels fault but it just added to whole frustrating stay.
I won’t be staying here again and cannot recommend it unfortunately.

This hotel stayed for one day before entering the resort. The airport pickup service was excellent, and the vehicle was in good condition. The room is just like the picture and the temperature is very cool. It also provides transfer communication with the resort where you will stay the next day. Very convenient! I saw a review that it could be noisy because there are temples nearby, and I slept well.

Not bad, not great. Airport shuttle service was okay, someone was waiting for us at the airport but then we had to wait about 25 minutes for their vehicle to turn up. Price for accommodation is overpriced, the room was very basic and small. Breakfast was okay. We found the lady on reception to be quite dismissive and rude. Informed us at check in that if we required another bed to call back reception, I told her 3 times whilst checking in that yes we will need another bed as we had a child, her response every time was “call if you need another bed”. Fortunately the porter helping us with the luggage went to get us another bed. When checking out the same lady asked us if we had used anything from the mini bar, we said no, straight away she phoned someone and told them to check the mini bar in our room as though she didn’t believe us.

This was a 2 night stay before moving on to a resort. We were really pleased wth our choice. The staff were very friendly and efficient, from arranging our airport transfers, to welcoming us at the airport and hotel. The room was functional but comfortable. Food in the restaurant was excellent. We return at the end of our resort stay before heading back to the uk.

We had an extra 6 hours before our flight from Male and decided to book a room here. The staff was awesome, and waited for us at the airport despite our float plane being delayed. They transferred us from the airport to the hotel and back again late at night. They even made us a meal to take with us because breakfast was included and we weren't able to be there the next morning. We really appreciated everything they did for us.

I would rate this a 2.5 Star hotel. Staff was friendly and check-in easy. Room was over priced I felt. basic beds. It was small with 2 twin beds. Came with only 1 small roll of toilet tissue. Shower floor was very slippery. They did have an elevator. Overall all a very basic hotel. Not a good value for the money paid. Should be priced around $75.

The service and staff was amazing! Very courteous and friendly. The room was smaller. I booked an ocean view room and the ocean was not really visible. It was mostly buildings and trees. The room toilet had some green discoloration. I guess cleanliness could be slightly better.

Very average. All rooms are of same size so don't need to pay extra for superior double room or any other renamed room except Suite ( which I haven't seen but the hotel claims it's bigger). Ocean view is also very unimpressive.

There is actually no gym but they will send you to a gym. My friends' room did not lock. For the money, I guess it's fine but don't expect too much. The breakfast was WONDERFUL!
