This was my best stay during the 5 week trip to India in terms of staff quality, professionalism and responsiveness.

Of particular note, the GM Panshikar, Dilli Restaurant Manager, Ms Wagh and the Chef Sagar were standout in terms of being responsive to my requests and dietary preferences. The breakfast staff too was very attentive without being intrusive.

The rooms were clean, well appointed (special kudos to whomever decided on selection of carpet slippers -- they were the best I have ever seen), and quiet. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were really nice. I particularly liked the bottles designs (for shampoo, soap etc).

Will I book again? In a heartbeat!!

Just finished a wonderful stay at the Oberoi Hotel in Delhi. First class service all the way . All staff is courteous and helpful and hotel is immaculately clean. We tried all of the restaurants, bars and the Patisserie downstairs and all were wonderful in terms of food and drink quality and selection. If I had to find any fault it would be with the bedding. I found the sheets did not stay in place well and the bedspread was too heavy and felt old and dusty. Without it the comforter was too thin and i felt cold . Also the drinks we ordered at the pool took way too long to come out, almost half an hour for 2 gin and tonics. Other than that it was a beautiful stay . ;-)

I liked the Oberoi overall… fantastic ambiance, it has charm and art, stylish and business minded… breakfast was excellent… if I had to change something it would be access to funds… an ATM that didn’t give sufficient funds… they had a cashier that can only withdrawal 5000 INR for the entire stay!… definitely need better access to getting funds… if you have have cash to exchange then your good… I like to tip good service…so wanted to do more… other than that, it’s a great experience and will definitely come back when I visit again

When I checked out and paid for invoice , after while I realized that I get charged for restaurant which I didn’t eat. I told the staff and they pull it the receipt. It wasn’t my signature the amount was for 15000 INS . They said that the would refund it. My question is how we can trust 5 star hotels!!!!!

Have travelled a lot. This experience was one of the best! Excellent attention to detail, cleanliness and sanitation. Staff went out of their way to help … outstanding hospitality. They have restaurants run by Michelin star chefs - really enjoyed the food. First time at an Oberoi hotel but made me a fan! The Oberoi, New Delhi certainly carries the weight of its brand reputation, and while it delivers on many fronts, it doesn’t quite justify the premium price tag in every aspect.

The staff are attentive and clearly trained to be proactive in service, but the warmth can sometimes feel a bit forced—more eager than genuine. It’s a small detail, but in a luxury property, authenticity matters.

Breakfast offers a good variety with quality ingredients and well-prepared dishes. It’s satisfying and enjoyable, though not particularly memorable or groundbreaking.

The Chinese restaurant is a letdown when it comes to value. The ambiance is elegant, and the food is good—but for the price, it doesn’t quite hit the mark. You’re left with the sense that you’re paying more for the name than the experience.

Rooms are what you’d expect from a five-star Oberoi property—spacious, tastefully designed, and comfortable. No complaints there, but again, nothing that really surprises or delights beyond the expected.

Overall, The Oberoi, New Delhi is a good hotel that ticks many of the right boxes. But for the price you pay, you’d expect something more memorable, more exceptional. It’s a solid stay—just not the “mind-blowing” experience one might hope for at this level.

The Oberoi is beautiful and its own little haven in the heart of New Delhi. Many of the sites are easy to get to so the location is also great. The food is great and the service impeccable. We did an early morning tour to Agra and they even packed us a to go breakfast for the road as we left at 5 am. Highly recommend.

The hotel is in a class by itself. 360 restaurant has a truly fantastic breakfast buffet. The hotel is near several historical places of interest. Delhi is a big city, so be prepared to take an Uber if you want to venture far from the hotel. The staff are great. My wife and I also stayed at the Cecil Oberoi in Shimla, which was also great!

The hotel rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The staff were very friendly and attentive. All round this was a classy hotel. We will stay here again when in Delhi.

Building looks old but the views from the room is excellent !!
Did not like they gave us slow internet despite paying for premium room charges. At leela palace we got high speed internet , while at oberoi we had to pay extra if needed truly high speed ( free is slow like a turtle ) and nicke and dime us was not so appetising !

I may stay at Leela palace but may go for coffee at Oberoi

Kept coming back for more!

We used this Oberoi as our base in India coming back on 3 occasions. Everyone was friendly, very efficient and they do the best breakfasts!
If I was being ultra critical I would say that the main dining room is a bit featureless and lacking in character, but having said that there are other restaurants.

This is an extraordinary hotel. My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and the Oberoi made it so special- greeting us with a bouquet of 18 red roses, sending a delicious chocolate cake - and then when we returned to our room that evening, we walked into a bathtub filled with rose petals, and petals, candles and more flowers. The food was exquisite, the service over-and-above what we could expect. The hotel made us feel like royalty.

Perfection. The best hotel I have ever stayed in. Unbelievable value for money. The attention to detail is second to none. The staff are absolutely incredible. The restaurants on site are delicious. The rooms are so comfortable!! We also had an amazing driver call Pawan who went out of his way to make sure we were safe and comfortable on our excursions.

Service is where The Oberoi excels and sets itself apart from the competition. I felt really well taken care of right from check-in to using facilities such as the gym, pool, restaurants, etc. Every single employee I dealt with was willing to go the extra mile to make my stay memorable.

The hotel discourages tips to individuals and suggests leaving your tokens of appreciation in an envelope with the front desk at check-out. I liked the fact that bell boys etc. weren't hanging around expecting cash after doing their job.

I like this property a lot. This is my second time stay. This time the WiFi had lot of issues. We have to call the IT person twice to connect our device. Second there was running water noise coming from the next door. The IT guy was in my room at the time noice was coming and he heard the noice and call the front desk. The person came to our room and said sorry nothing we can do because this is way hotel is built. I was disappointed with the answer.
