I recently stayed at this hotel and had a great experience. The customer service was excellent, with staff who went out of their way to be helpful and make my stay comfortable. The breakfast offered a good variety and was a great way to start each day. For the quality of service and amenities provided, the price was very reasonable. Overall, a solid 4-star experience that I would recommend!

Hotel decor in the lobby is amazing. So much elegant wood trim really makes this feel \"classy\". Breakfast buffet was great and staff was very accomodating. Only issue was the air conditioning not functioning property. They did change our room after maintenance was unable to fix the problem. All in all, enjoyed our stay and would come back.

This is a very nice hotel close to everything easy to walk or a short ride from a Tuk Tuk I highly recommend using Pass App when getting a Tuk Tuk or they will over charge you by 2 to 3 times what the real cost would be using Pass App. Al for the hotel the only complaint would be the beds were so very hard it was hard to be comfortable, if they only added a pad that would take care of the issue. When I say hard I mean sleeping on the floor hard. Breakfast was outstanding and a good varity to choose from.

Hotel on Riverside with rooftop view & pool

A very nice hotel on the Riverside. Great rooftop looking above the whole city. We always go to the spa here when we are in town as it's probably the best at the price with sauna/steamjacuzzi included. Breakfast buffet is awesome too.

Classy? I don’t think so. Had to checkout early!

Not classy at all. My family and I initially had 4 nights booked at this hotel but ended up only staying 2 nights due to what was going on at the hotel. The hotel itself was very dark and dirty. There was loud music blasting from 5am until midnight both nights we stayed. On the following day we continued to hear loud music and decided to leave the hotel. Apparently there’s a wedding venue across the street from the hotel. I had asked for us to be relocated some place else in the hotel but no rooms were available to accommodate us. Nothing could be done. There was also an issue with the bathroom. It smelt of sewage and on top of that it didn’t look like our bathroom had been cleaned before our stay as there were lip stains on our cups and a dirty towel on the floor. The people were nice though and the breakfast was better than expected.

Great location, and a decent breakfast, but that's about it. The 'clean' towels are stained and dirty. The jandals in our room had poo and dirt on the bottom. Put them upside down so the cleaners could see and replace them... They just put them back up the right way and left them. Had to change rooms multiple times because the air conditioning was barely working. Kept being told to wait for the room to cool down, even though it had been 4 hours. Wouldn't stay again.

The staff at the hotel were extremely welcoming and helped us organise a tuk tuk trip to see the Battambang,bat caves. We decided to eat in the roof top restaurant which was a shame because it spoiled the experience. The staff were young and not trained at all. They did not offer the sort of service we have had in hotels or restaurants of much less quality, Many of things were not available and the bottled beer was not kept in the fridge. The food when it came was tasty.
We found our bed much too hard for comfort. The pool was very cloudy.

Battambang probably gets unfavourable treatment because so many tourists come from Siem Reap, where (sorry to say) the service is far superior.
We arrived early, & while i have no expectation to receive early check-in (that’s a bonus) I do expect to be greeted upon arrival, yet none of the front-desk staff looked up to even say hello (an experience I have never had in a Cambodian hotel.)
Once check-in was completed, the lovely gentleman (not present for the lack of greeting) advised to come to reception for anything we needed. On the one occasion we did wish to organise activities we were literally told ‘go outside & get a tuk tuk’ & of course we ended up with a clueless (but very friendly) driver & our plans did not come to fruition.
Food was OK but nothing overly special.
The pool is great, but kids are in there screaming from 6am - really? - & windows to the rooms overlooking the pool are not soundproof, so not ideal.
The rooftop bar is fantastic & the staff up there were wonderful.
One special thanks for allowing us to check-out an hour late - this ended up being something that was very much needed, due to a few too many drinks the night before in the aformentioned rooftop bar.
A nice hotel but many service-based improvements need to be made.

Superb value for money hotel

Everything about this hotel is great. The friendly and helpful staff who genuinely cared. Unable to fault it at all especially for the price we paid. The only thing that would let it down is that the wifi in the room wasn't that great. That really wasn't a problem for us.
Would definitely recommend it to others and would have no hesitation in staying there again. Many thanks to the staff of the Classy Hotel

Gym & no-slip shower flooring merit 5-star rating

Normally I'd give this hotel a 4-star rating. It has a traditional Khmer feel with carved, dark wood paneling throughout the lobby. Rooms are large with a nice desk and furnished with a light cotton bathrobe. It's a short walk to a number of good restaurants. Wi-fi was sluggish.

What I found unique and was much appreciated, was the non-slip surface tiling in the shower. I've experienced far too many treacherously, slick shower floors in southeast Asia for my liking.

Also noteworthy was the well equipped gym with many weight machines, free weights and exercise machines. The facility is geared toward serious fitness enthusiasts, there are some massively sized barbells here.

The spa prices are very reasonable. I enjoyed the 1-hour foot massage for only $7.

Likewise the large swimming pool convenient for doing laps, IF you dodge the many afternoon tourists cooling off in the warm water.

There amenities, not common in many upscale hotels, merit my 5-star rating

Comfortable hotel

Comfortable hotel within easy walking distance to restaurants. Room had everything we needed. Staff were friendly, particularly the concierge who helped organise transport to the caves and a taxi to Siem Reap. Swimming pool and breakfast were both good. Would recommend staying here.

Not a wide selection of hotels in Battambang, the copious amounts of dark carved wood was very overbearing. I guess that is the style in Cambodia but it did make the foyer and dining room very dark. The rooms were spacious and bathrooms a bit damp smelling. Everything was a bit worn. Good lifts with 2 on each floor and lovely pool and central location.

First experiences of check-in process was OK. But general experiences went down hill very quickly.
Booked a massage for me and my wife. Her therapist turned up on time and started, mine showed up 10 minutes late because she was eating her lunch according to my wife’s therapist! Despite turning up 10 minutes late she finished BEFORE my wife’s did. Immediately (10 seconds) after finishing she thrust a form in my face asking for tips!!

Also I had to chase up my laundry despite their advertised service of “returned by 8pm”.

The staff at the hotel were not very helpful - in desperate need of training.

Can’t recommend this hotel with good conscience.

But not happy with checking staff: last minute online booking so no time for hardcopy printout, but checking staff not able to find our booking for nearly half hour, until I logged into my laptop and show my screen booking

Nice hotel in Battambang. Good Western amminities. Nice big room, clean friendly staff. Beautiful sky lounge overlooking the city and nice big swimming pool. Great price. My only problem with Asian hotels is there is seldom enough space or hooks to hang anything including your wet towles and clothes. Otherwise, highly recommend. Also very nice coffee shop just down the street.

Not a great choice for the business traveler

On the Plus side: The hotel is clean; the rooms are large and they have all the expected amenities. The breakfasts are unvarying but have an egg station; the usual Asian dinner-like meals; rolls and bread; cold pancakes and some fruit.

However, especially the business traveler should know that the Internet is a major problem. Each time you leave the room; you have to log in anew - not the norm, where once you log in, most hotel systems remember you and you can pick up the connection. That would be annoying enough, but it is further exacerbated by the fact that every day I had to call down to the reception and they had to reset it, because it would not let me reconnect - the message was no profile on record. Moreover, the Internet is VERY slow and the signal weak. If you're traveling on business and need to get work done, this is a GIANT PAIN. The hotel seems to cater to tour groups of retirees where that may not be such an issue.

Good value for the price! It is right downtown which was good. Staff is very helpful. Breakfast was ok. ....they made omlets for you. upstairs restaurant has a beautiful view in the evening! Pizza was great.
Expect a long wait for your meal.

Pleasant Hotel

My wife and I stayed two nights at the Classy Hotel on our first visit to Battambang. Hotel is conveniently located within walking or tuk tuk ride distance of restaurants and markets. The hotel has a lovely lobby with beautiful hand carved mahogany panels. Rooms were of a good size and well furnished. There is an acceptable if uninspired breakfast buffet, but both days the breads felt day old.

Hotel staff were very helpful with good English skills. Mr Samdy at guest relations was particularly helpful at check in when there was a rush of guests at the reception desk.

Overall a pleasant stay. We would return to the Classy Hotel .

Great place to stay in Battambang

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. They changed the breakfast items daily which was nice. Pool area is great, gym was more then adequate. It is located across the street from a nice park area that runs along the river. Wi fi was OK, had to re-sign in each time. The area and people are very friendly. This town is not like Siem Reap at all, very quiet and laid back. I booked for 3 days but stayed for 5. Definetly a Classy hotel

When checking in, I was informed by the front office that I called to change my arrival date which I did not. Anyhow, the hotel took us in and even upgraded our rooms to VIP category which are very big room. However, there's stale air in the room like urine which we found that it is actually from the curtain. Also, the shower in the bathroom is not ideal positioned as water was splashing out of the tub and flooded the bathroom. Breakfast spread was not satisfactorily, plates and cutleries were not enough ... possibly due to the big crowd.

We'd travelled 7 hours on an uncomfortable bus journey feom Phnom Penh. Arriving at the Classy was wonderful, it was cool clean and welcoming. The room was very good as were all the faciliries. We were all unwell during our stay, not due to the hotel, but it was a comfortable and quiet place to recuperate. Staff were helpful with changing money and organising travel arrangements. All up a positive experience and always good to go back after a say out in the heat.
I would have no hesitation in recommemding the hotel.

We had a great stay at Classy Hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Just a short stroll across the bridge to city centre of Battambang. Salt water pool was great...enjoyed happy hour by the pool. Nice view from rooftop restaurant.

Only stayed one night but very pleasant and happy to provide late checkout. If you book a bus with Mekong Express you can get VIP pick up from hotel. Only complaint spa closed at 11pm but we couldn't book after 9pm for some reason.
