Not a pleasant experience

Really unpleasant experience. The first room we received had smelly bathroom, so we asked for an exchange. Generally, the property is old and uninviting. There was one polite man at the reception, the rest were quite indifferent.

This hotel came highly recommended and has a beautiful garden area and pool. Beautiful backdrops for wedding photos. The room I had was large, spacious and clean but showing its age. The beds are firm but we’re comfortable enough for a short stay. Definitely a popular place to stay for the value and amazing staff.

Large room, quiet, very comfortable bed (mattress on the floor). Unfortunately it was let down by the bathroom, which got completely wet due to the open shower and the shiny floor tiles then got very slippery. Quiet pool and small garden area, pretty enough to be used by a wedding couple for their photos during our stay. Not much in the immediate area in terms of food options but we discovered Cafe Eden on the other side of the river, an easy walk for good food.

The young man who ran the front desk was helpful, kind, and gave great directions. He went out of his way and we approached him. The young lady…not so much.
This property has no restaurant, coffee shop and no free water ( the young lady charged 1000R for 1 small bottle). Not cool. Happily it did not happen again. The rooms have odd lighting. The bathroom light and fan went on every time you entered. The room was very large and comfortable. The pool was beautiful. There were 2 photo shoots there during our stay. If you like to walk it’s got a great location. Mixed bag

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is great on the river, a 15 minute walk or short tuk tuk ride to town centre. Very quiet here (except for the rooster next door who has trouble reading the time) The hotel itself is nice with large,clean rooms. Some of the outside amenities were a little run down and in need of a lick of paint. The winner for us was the office staff very helpful and organised our trips to bat cave and bamboo train as well as finding us seats on a bus to Phnom Penh when all seemed booked out due to end of Khmer New Year Holidays. Thank you so much! Definitely recommend if you don't mind not being right in centre of town.

Ok. Cheap but you can do better in Battambang

On first impressions this place could be lovely. Individual colonial style French buildings, lovely gardens & a nice pool. Sadly it did not live up to this.
Our room did not have a bed. It was just a mattress on the floor. We are in our mid 40’s and it all felt a little studenty. We asked if we could change rooms to a room with a bed. I mean the least you expect when you book a hotel is a bed, right?? The lady at reception told us that was not possible, even though we saw at least 4 rooms check out and the hotel wasn’t full. We were offered a down grade to a bungalow room, with no offer of financial compensation. We declined as although it did have a bed it had no glass in the windows - just shutteres and so we knew it would be hot and also potentially invaded by mosquitoes.
Also there were no ‘do not disturb signs’ and the cleaners kept on ringing the doorbell whilst I was in the shower. I eventually had to get out and go to the door to ask if they could come back later and they replied with ‘we need to clean your room now’. I reiterated that they had to return later as I was in the shower and they did eventually leave.
Also there is a huge amount of building work happening (not sure if it’s part of the hotel or not) next door & the builders kick off at 7am! Even on Sundays.
We had a door that lead on to a patio area but this was full of rubbish. A dead large plant, a ladder, some rubble from the builders & a semi broken chair.
There were some staff that were friendly

Thle hotel has a pleasant garden, a swimming pool, large rooms, a small restaurant which has a limited but good menu at really good vaue for money. The staff are both friendly and helpful and my nine night stay there was pleasand and relaxing. It is also peaceful - apart from the croaking frogs and a rooster that liked to announce the rising of the sun

Nice hotel with friendly and accommodating staff. My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Good wifi. I ate only once at the hotel restaurant and it was good (fried noodles with vegetables).
Within walking distance to the other side of the river. Food vendors setup in the evening along the riverside across the street from the hotel and I found some good eats there.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

wo nights spent here. Room was large, it did have a musty smell but was clean but quite dated in appearance. Minimal furniture in the room. Could have had a better room for the money paid.No in room safe. Aircon worked well. Walking distance to centre of town takes about 20 mins or tuk tuk for $2. There is a pool there but we had no time to swim and breakfast basic but good.
Check in ok. Check out quick. Jug in room for a cuppa. Probably would stay in the town centre next time or a different hotel.

Good hotel but beware of the noisy chickens

This is a good hotel. The pool area is great. Very clean and nice rooms. The issue is our room backed onto a garden with a large amount of chickens. The roosters start making noise about 4am and don't stop until daylight. We would suggest ear plugs. A shame as the hotel is perfect apart from this.

Wonderful stay at the Vimean, staff are very friendly and the peaceful vibe of the hotel is great. The restaurant needs some more options and better food though...other than this, beautiful pool, nice gardens, spacious rooms, and walking distance to lots of main points of visit.

Beautiful pool, Fantastic location!

The staff at this hotel was so friendly! The pool was fantastic, and the rooms were spacious and airy with super comfortable beds. Beautiful landscaping, and the hotel has a great location in town. One small prob was very weak wifi in the rooms.

Our room was large, light, and well appointed. The balcony overlooking the garden and pool is fine, except it is shared with the room next door -lucky for us it was vacant during our stay.
The pool is excellent, and the garden has a selection of seats and swinging sets in the shade.
Breakfast was served in the small restaurant - individually cooked, and while limited options, a range of cooked and continental.
Staff were friendly, and eager to help. An enjoyable stay.

I wasn't expecting much since it is in Battambang which isn't exactly a tourist destination. But this hotel filled our needs for a clean and decent place to stay. I would recommend that they get new AC units since the one in our room barely worked.

Great little boutique hotel

We had 3 nights at this hotel. It's such a pleasant place. Big big spacious room, great value for money. Beautiful garden. Quick check in.though breakfast selection a bit simple but tasty enough. All the staffs are very accommodating. Great swimming pool for us have young family. We really and truely enjoyed our stay. Oh their restaurant cooks very yummy food. We will come back.

Nice hotel

Cool comfortable hotel with nice and spacious rooms. Kitchen closes quite early, 9 pm, and the quality of the amenities is okay. Beds, however, are very comfortable and the pool is nice. Overall I recommend as it was a very comfortable and nice stay.

Bel hôtel stylé, jardin agréable et piscine sympa. Les chambres sont spacieuses, propres, situées au calme à l'arrière et ont tout le confort attendu. Personnel très serviable. Emplacement très proche du centre, nous avons circulé à pied. En partance pour Siem Reap nous avons réservé une voiture avec chauffeur pour 45$ auprès de l'hôtel. Très bon service. Rien à reprocher !

L'hôtel est propre, agréable, la chambre spacieuse, mais nous avons entendu un moteur tourner une grande partie de la nuit, ce qui nous a empêché de dormir. Dommage car la clim est silencieuse. De plus, la réception nous a vendu des tickets de bus au prix fort des meilleures compagnies et nous nous sommes retrouvés dans un bus de la compagnie la moins chère du pays...

2 nuits à Battambang et un peu déçus par cet hôtel. Cadre très agréable avec joli petit jardin et petite piscine (très bruyant pendant notre séjour car envahie par des enfants sans surveillance jusque très tard le soir !) Nous avions pris une \"suite\", enfin une grande chambre très \"kitch\" et qui aurait besoin d'une peu de modernité. La salle de bain se transforme en vraie piscine dés que vous voulez prendre une douche, le carrelage n'est vraiment pas conçu pour ! (ils ont prévu le coup avec une paire de tong en plastique à l'entrée de la salle de bain !) . Literie très correcte.
Bon petit déjeuner, nous n'avons pas testé le restaurant mais le soir du 31 décembre impossible de boire un verre à 23h, tout était fermé ! Le veilleur de nuit a juste pu nous sortir 2 canettes de jus de fruit du réfrigérateur !
Le personnel, très très nonchalant (tout est fait au ralentis !), est néanmoins très agréable et près à rendre service. Ils se sont occupé de réservé taxi, tuc-tuc, massages et tout était parfait !

Wir waren für eine Nacht in Battambang und haben eine eher preiswertere, aber gute Unterkunft gesucht. Das trifft beim Vimean S. Resort soweit zu. Das Hotel liegt nah am Fluss. Das andere Ufer ist über die Lage Brücke relativ schnell zu erreichen. Insgesamt ist es leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber unser Aufenthalt war soweit ok und es war weitestgehend sauber (bis auf die Liegen am Pool). Das Personal war sehr freundlich, aber nicht übermäßig bemüht. Alles in allem ok.

Séjour hyper agreable dans un très bel environnement ( piscine tres appréciable) et .,, surtout accuei fantastique.,,sourires , envie d'aider ..,

Nous avons passé 5 nuits dans cet Hotel et même si tout n'est pas parfait ( dans les détails , Hotel vieillissant ) nous avons passé un super séjour !
