Los capitantes de meseros (Alejandro y Roberto) Siempre fueron muy amables. Inclusive nos ayudaron a planear un festejo familiar muy importante para nosotros. Los meseros Elfego, Agner, Agustín, Alfredo y Adair, fueron siempre amables, atentos y cordiales. Son excelente equipo.

Very good stay to get to know the area.

Stay was good. Staff was friendly and supportive. Room was clean with a lot of space, and a comfortable bed. Jacuzzi was a bit small for my wife and I (even that we are average height). Restaurant was good, both in service, food quality and price. The only akward thing happened when some kind of boss (without uniform) yelled at a poor guy for not serving us when we took a seat in an area where we were not expecting to be served (we were in that area just to have our daily rosary prayer, but I had the idea of getting a dessert before that because the options in the restaurant where we had our lunch were not tasty). Pool area was very nice. Spa was also nice. Front desk got us in touch with a taxi driver that took us to a lot of nearby places (Cacahuamilpa, Hacienda Vista Hermosa, Xochicalco, Jardines de Mexico, Cuernavaca), at a good rate (considering the time and distances spent). It was nice the hotel was not crowded, so I don’t know how it would be in such cases.

Aunque las instalaciones del lugar son un poco antiguas, el lugar es bastante agradable, no tuve problemas con el internet y aunque el buffet puede ser un poco caro vale la pena y la atención es buena.
Adicionalmente, la habitación estaba linda y limpia, con una gran vista al lago.
Detalles a considerar, la alberca tenía mucho insectos y eso resulta molesto y los masajes (al menos en ese día) se daban de forma separada pues no había dos masajistas disponibles el mismo día.

En general el hotel es cómodo y bonito, es muy tranquilo, es un lugar para descansar. El personal es muy atento, la habitación muy limpia. Lo que no me gusto es la limpieza de la alberca, no sé si o ponerme tratamiento diario pero de verdad deja mucho que desear, sobre todo la parte del jacuzzi ,y los costos de los alimentos, son muy elevados y nada espectacular para ese tipo de precios

Room was dirty and dated, bad views from most expensive rooms, (honeymoon suite) awful service. Mosquitos were everywhere. Photos on website are UNREALISTIC and edited. We tried to work out at the gym, but half the machines were broken and the others had a layer of scum and haven’t been cleaned for YEARS. On our way out, the hotel would not allow us to leave the locked gate unless we paid additional fees the hotel said nothing about in the two-page registration contract. Never again.

The only good parts? Easy parking, and Oxxo is closeby if you need anything.

one of the worst hotels I've every stayed in. Could not turn off the a/c, house keeping turned it off, then when we arrived in the afternoon couldn't turn it back on. Terrible water pressure in the shower, plus couldn't adjust the temperature, either hot or cold, front desk didn't send anybody to fix it.

"OK" at best. NO INTERNET DESPITE AD.

So.... the hotel has a lot of potential. The actual building is really unique looking (60s Moroccan inspired), and the location is great (incredilbe views from all rooms!). The service staff at the restaurants are really attentive and fantastic. That's the good. Now the bad: the doors don't really lock (you REALLY have to slam the doors shut to get them to stay), the linens are paper thin and its quite cold with the AC - you have to have it on, or you're in a sauna, there is NO INTERNET - no matter what the listing says, there's no WIFI. The staff at front desk are OK at best, but have very little tact - for example, asking to 'fix things" in our room - as soon as we check in - a bit intrusive. We had someone knock on our door repeatedly at 1030 pm - it was front desk, and he had the wrong room - it was kinda weird and really uncalled for. The food is terrible. It really is - the staff is awesome, but food is quite bad. All in all - stay at the Hacienda Vista Hermosa - on most nights its less, and it is actually Paradise. We ended up going there for breakfast, and when we saw the Hacienda, I could not believe that the Villa Bejar would dare charge what they do. The price is ridiculous and not worth it at all...

Nice hotel with a lake view

We checked into this hotel on a very short notice as we needed to get into a peaceful environment to help our toddler son recover from an infants' illness. We were so happy that we did! Our friends who have a house on the lake said this was the best option around, and afterwards it is easy to agree. The hotel is old but well maintained. The room was spaceous and clean, and it seems all of them have a lake view. We had a beautiful balcony. Nature is all around you: in the morning when I opened the curtain, I looked a green iguana in the eye, right on the other side of the glass, he was climbing a tree! The abundant Mexican breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious. Service was super friendly. Our Spanish is extremely limited and some of the staff didn't speak English but they always found a colleague to help communicate.

Tequesquitengo is an old town, but the hotel is in a great place, sorry for the bad services, the personal works in this place . Have a bad attitude and i think they are nos comfortable with theirs jobs. The hotel is expensive in the foods, beverages and the rooms. Expensive prices for the quality.

Hotel is well-located on Lake Tequisquitengo with many rooms with view of the lake. Pool and restaurant areas feature a few nice amenities; in particular, the mattress lounges facing the lake are comfortable with nice views and the renovated bar/breakfast area is charming. The service staff is also attentive. However, the pool area, restaurant and rooms all require a general remodeling to address the melancholic sense of faded glory.

A nice romantic retreat

This is the second time I have stayed at this establishment, the first time on business and this time as a romantic getaway. For both, it is excellent, because its location is off the beaten track. It is not so far away from Cuernavaca, however: a taxi ride takes 30 minutes and costs less than 300 pesos. It has a beautiful setting, literally right on the edge of a lake. Dining is romantic and pleasurable at all times of the day. There are many things that can be done from this hotel: watersports and tours on the lake, and dancing at local clubs, for example. Other reviews have noted a "run down" nature of this property. This is not true. The property is older, but that is part of its charm. Our room had no wifi signal, but that presented very minor complications. Overall, it provided a very enjoyable experience, and I have no hesitation in recommending it for a romantic, business, or multi-purpose stay.

Very beautiful hotel, the best location in Tequesquitengo and it looks like one of the best hotels in the area. Nice installations, the only problem is that it is a bit old, could use some renovation. The service is good and they have a nice pool, spa and restaurant. Also they have a dock and lake activities like skiing and wave runners. Definitely recommendable.

Not what we expected at all. 2nd rate hotel.

This hotel was definitely not what we expected. We were told by several third parties that it was the best place to stay in Tequesquitengo. Well, next time... There won't be a next time. It just wasn't worth it.

PROS:

* The staff is usually helpful and cordial (although we did have one incident).

* The bell-hop in particular was extremely pleasant and went out of his way to help my wife and I when we arrived with tons of luggage and a toddler in our arms.

* The room was clean, large, and had a great room of the lake.

* The grounds are beautiful, with lush greenery and are well kept.

* The food at the restaurant was tasty for both breakfast and dinner when we went.

* Gated parking lot means you don't need to worry too much about your car and belongings.

NOW THE CONS:

* The hotel advertises free WiFi, but there was none in our room. We were told that we should get closer to the lobby or bar areas to get a signal. Since everything is open-air, and it was over 95 degrees outside, that didn't seem like a good option.

* The bathroom has a small vent that cannot be closed, so it always lets in the hot air from outside. Since the A/C in the room is a wall-unit, the bathroom does not get cooled and is always sweltering hot.

* The incident we had with the staff was in the restaurant. We ordered something on the menu that did not specify seafood in the ingredients. When it was brought out and we explained that this was not what we expected, we were told that it didn't matter. We had ordered it, and we had to pay for it whether we ate it or not. Doesn't seem like a top-notch hotel, does it? We didn't have to pay after we threatened to check-out over the argumentative waiter's attitude.

* The convenience packages in the room are a nice touch... Sewing Kit, Shoe Polish, Shower Cap, First Aid Kit... Except that most of them were empty!!! Perhaps someone used them before us and left the boxes, but either way, they either don't check to replace them, or it's a ploy to make it look as though they offer those items and hope most people won't check. Sad!

* The room was definitely not child-friendly. We traveled with a toddler, and the hard-tile floors, glass tables, and open railings on the balcony made it so we could never comfortably leave him unsupervised even for a few moments.

* We asked for an extra cot or mattress and they couldn't provide it, so again, we had to be vigilant about letting our child sleep on a bed that high off the ground.

* We arrived on a Friday night, and got to use the pool a little on Saturday. When we went down Sunday morning for a dip, there was a sign that said they had closed the pool for cleaning and maintenance until the following Saturday! What? There was no warning or anything the day before nor a comment when we checked in. Since we came to enjoy the sun and pool with our baby, this made us want to leave immediately even though we had planned to stay two more nights.

* The staff was accommodating and moved us to their property in Cuernavaca which is about 35 minutes away. However, that hotel had no A/C in any of the rooms and there was a leak in the ceiling in the bathroom... So, no much better!

* Lastly, only one out of the two elevators was in service while we were there. Not only did this mean longer wait times, but the one that was working was temperamental at times. We would board it, and it would refuse to close. We often had to use the stairs with luggage, stroller, and baby in-tow! :(

La verdad mi esposa sufrió un acto de discriminación. La mandaron hasta la última mesa solo por el hecho de no querer buffet por su dieta requería comida digamos a la carta al igual que su amiga o de plano la mandaban a servicio en la habitación lo cual le impedía la vista y quería disfrutar de las personas instalaciones. Y el personal retiraba los servicios demasiado rápido sin consentimiento. En resumen el lugar es magnífico pero el personal y el servicio muy malo

Las instalaciones son muy bellas, aunque en algunos casos falta un poco de mantenimiento. La habitación estaba muy agradable y en general la atención y servicio fue bueno, solo el segundo día alguien del personal quiso abrir la habitación sin razón alguna y solo dijo que iba a verificar que “todo estaba bien”, aunque no había razones para hacerlo, no había pedido nada del room service y aún faltaban varias horas para hacer el check out. Esa situación sí hizo un poco incómodo el final de mi estancia. Fuera de eso todo estuvo muy bien.

El hotel aunque tiene sus años está muy limpio, las camas super comodas y el servicio inmejorable. La atencion de todas las personas del hotel fue extraordinaria, fue cumpleaños de mi hermana y tuvieron el detalle de llevarle pastel sin que nadie de la mesa les dijera nada. Todo el personal muy atento a que la experiencia fuera comfortable. Ademas la calidad de los alimentos superó mis expectativas. Definitivamente volvería.

Muy bonito, el personal es increíble, muy amables todos. El hotel es comodo no es el mas actual pero esta limpio y funcional, bonito. Solo me gustaría mas variedad en la comida y es un poco cara. Pero el spa, el lugar y la alberca en general, excelentes.

Excelente opción de hospedaje!

Excelente atención! Íbamos celebrando un cumpleaños, no tienen como otros hoteles que te adornan la habitación, tuvimos que llevar lo que pondrían, pero se les agradece la buena disposición y atención. Y que bonito detalle de bienvenida! Definitivamente volveremos ☺️

Mala atencion en los encargados de las toallas

Ya hemos visitado el hotel en varias ocasiones y en general el trato habia sido bueno; sin embargo, en esta ocasion al cambiar las toallas de la alberca nos trataron muy mal y nos dijeron que estas no se cambiaban y que solo nos tocaba 1 por persona, aunque estuvieran mojadas ya no podiamos cambiarlas por unas secas. Es la primera vez en toda mi experiencia en diferentes hoteles que un hotel niega el cambio de toallas de alberca.

Un poco de mayor mantenimiento y algun toque de renovacion en mobiliario de habitaciones estaria estupendo ,especificamente baños y jacuzzi.Asi como limpieza en las areas verdes para despejar el bonito paisaje de malesa . Aun con eso supero mis expectativas. Fui a relajarme y lo logre.Los recomendare . Todo el personal muy amable .Y atendiendo y solucionado las peticiónes muy rápidamente. Seria bueno ampliaran el menu de alimentos para evitar salgan los huéspedes a buscar opciones y mas por los preciosos que son elevados en relacion a lo que se ofreces en los alrededores.

Se pasa un buen rato si se pretende descansar yo estuve jueves y viernes y no había gente.
Lo que no me gustó es que la comida es muy cara con un costo de 300 por persona, todo lo demás me parece bien

El hotel tiene la gran ventaja de tener acceso exclusivo y directo al lago, lo q ayuda bastante si una trae embarcación, la ubicación es muy buena y en general es un hotel viejo q requiere una renovacion total y urgente. El personal es muy amable pero las instalaciones no son las mejores pero si suficientes para uno o dos dias.
