Not for everyone!

Theres no wifi unless youre in the lobby area.
Breakfast was really good. I have no complaints on their food.
No beach view from room. You have to walk to a bridge that crosses over to the beach.
The pool is what disappointed me the most!! I dont think they clean the pools because i dont see any filters and you can see peoples snot and fluids floating in the water.
The house keeping crew was friendly and some of the front desk personnel as well. I feel like this isnt for just any tourist because all you see around there is locals. I was the only “tourist” that stood out. Either way, its a beautiful location but needs so much work with the cleaning dept

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel, which has been recently renovated and is in great condition. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast and dinner buffet, which offered a wide variety of delicious options. The only drawback is the access to the beach. It requires a relatively long walk, exposed to the sun, and involves crossing a bridge and using an elevator, this may not be convenient for everyone.

The rooms were not clean. Also, the rooms should be maintained properly as they got old and were very consumed. The pool should be bigger and real isolated with other properties. The biggest disadvantage on this property, it is noisy hotel. The concert were in front of the hotel and they leave after 2 PM. Therefore, I could take enough sleep at that day.

Not so bad experience

Most of the staff are friendly, but I think the main problem is the head of management for hotel,observing the staff all the time and giving orders even by eyes which make the atmosphere of the hotel isn’t comfortable.can you imagine the manger knew that I am the first guest who entered the hotel during the opening back in 2002 with my little kids who are now in last year at their college, and even he hasn’t said a word because he was busy controlling the hotel by setting on a couch at loopy even I haven’t received a piece of fruit not a pleat.anyhow I think the location is nice can find a lot of nice places enjoying your time.but I think you can find hotels near the location with perfect price and condition because Porto hotel is so old furnished and so expensive.once again the staff or most of them are nice and the food was okay but the amount they provide for meals so much
I tried my best not be unsatisfied because I was on holiday.

Generally I love Al Ain Alsokhna as it needs only 2 hours from Cairo, Porto life style is still there. the daily animation show, the beautiful beach and the good pool.
rooms facilities need to be upgraded. Staff are so polite and supportive specially the reservation lady ( I don't remember her name) and the Pool restaurant staff.
at general it was beautiful experience as usual.

4 Stars!!!!

Hotel Staff were ok, but it took them an hour to find us a room. When we entered the room there was a dead fly on the bathroom sink. We called housekeeping told them about the fly and we left the room, only to be surprised after coming back that the left it as it is. The A/C was horrible, and the sports guys on the beach had no idea about customer service. It was a really horrible experience.

Worst place to stay

The place is horrible and you will feel it from the first minuit you enter the hotel and find out only one person is there on the front desk. The hotel is only one floor high and the building in the photos doesn't belong to the hotel. The room is very noisy because it's first floor so you are like living on the high way with all trucks beeping and moving fast all night plus the loud music all night till 2am and when you complain no one cares about you.

Wont stay there ever again

Even though that porto Sokhna has many nice activities, coffee shops and restrants, however staying in their hotel is a whole another story! very small crowded beach, the bed sheets had stains all over it we called the room services to change it after we arrived, the AC unit was extremely loud we couldn't sleep from it, the hotel rooms is right over porto coffee shops plaza, so music doesn't stop till 3 am in the morning, I happened to be there in the weekend, we couldn't find a parking spots as they didn't have a dedicated parking for their residences and there was a lot of people visiting from out side porto !!

Very Beautiful Rooms, View and Beach

Everything was excellent in the Hotel, except the following:
- When we asked for shaving and toothbrush tools, the answer was they as 4 stars hotel and not 5 Stars!! any such services with extra fees. you should correct the info about them to 4 stars if they are 4 stars as they tell us!
- No free Wifi, it is with another extra fees too. it didn't matter to me but it is good to be known for others.
- No hot water specially at night .. it is my worst problem!! may be they use solar water heating, so it is good in the morning and bad at night, when we complained, they sent a plumber to us he told us he increased the heat and it should be good next morning, it was good next morning and bad again at night!
- Heater their is not good enough, although you may not need it if the weather is good.
The room is perfect, I loved the view, the organization of all services and restaurants down the hotel, all the staff are so friendly, helpful and smiley specially the guard (this man is so friendly).
I really enjoyed my stay there except for the above points.

Bad expirence, a man by name Sherif at reception disk was very rude and not helpful at all, they gave us a key for a room which was dirty and not prepared, full of garbage!!!
The hotel was full of workers who were not doing any thing except asking for tips!!
I will not return back.

overbooking- no water

we were not given the 3 bedroom villa we paid for due to overbooking.the customer service staff didnt know that trivago and travelocity existed and initially responded that it was probably a fake website. Then they at first tried to house us in 2 rooms instead.... and finally after 2hours waiting with my kids they finally gave us a perfectly capacious and perfectly furnished penthouse apartment. the big surprise was on the following morning at 5 am when we found no water in all toilets...and there was no phone in that apartment to call room service or reception so i had to go down 16 stories in my pyjamas to the front desk to ask for water... the receptionist informed me that the water was cut off the whole hotel and they are on tanks and that nothing can be done. 10 mins later my family and i checked out at 6 am .... during check out another receptionist told me that i should have recharged a water card that i knew nothing about!!!!!!!

Humongous Property great for family

I enjoyed my stay in Porto Sokhna Hotel and Spa. The place is amazing. Lots of stuff to do and see. Surrounded by lots of restaurants, cafe's, and markets. The hotel even has its own mini mall. Lots of fun for guests with kids. My 2-bedroom apartment was upgraded to duplex villa courtesy of the hotel which I appreciate a lot. The only drawback I faced was the very bad condition of the bathrooms. They didn't smell good and were in a very bad condition. The tub didn't have a shower curtain and the shower head was busted spraying water all around me when I shower. The cable car \"Telepherique\" ride is a must situated very close to the hotel.

This place was no vacation. The staff is so incompetent: from the very first moment we arrived, no one seemed to know anything, from how to get more towels to how to get to the beach (which was very small). My friend and I were photographed on the beach without our consent multiple times and the staff clearly didn't care. It was absurd. The only good part was seeing dolphins, which really can't be attributed to the hotel...

Bad experince ... Not recomended at all

It was a very bad experience starting with staff being not helpful at all.. Upon arrival they informed me that there is no booking for me even after showing expedia confirmation email... They asked me to call there HQ and expedia to check my reservation. I waited for more than two hours in the reception before they discovered it was there mistake!!!!
After that bad smell n z room and many issues including telephone not working, TV remote control not working, toilt was not clean and blocked......

Awesome location, so bad for 5-star hotel

They just sell the location and the design. Otherwise, they are doing an awful job on maintenance and finishing. literally everything needed maintenance in the room I stayed in. in addition they don't give you any tip about the attractions in the town/resort... you just have to ask people around.
I'd like to see this building five years later.
