Stayed an extra day because it's so hard to leave! I have stayed here a few times prior over the years. As always, everything was amazing! Tina the manager emailed me ahead of time to confirm my reservation and ask if I needed transportation from airport. I stayed in Suite 16 and it was exactly as described. Kitchen to cook. AC is a bonus. Denise and all housekeepers very sweet. Elaine catches fish every morning and will cook meals for you upon request in advance. Home Sweet Home is a quiet chill spot with amazing swimming and sunsets. Big up to owner, and all staff for making this place special! I will be back again soon!

First time staying at Home Sweet Home and in the West End. I will for sure be coming back!!! The staff was fantastic. 👌👏Very friendly and doing anything they can for you. Tina, the manager was awesome. Would recommend this resort. You have the Cliffs and the pool. And if you want the beach it's a taxi ride away. Close to everything.

The location is very ideal and the view is AMAZING!! They allow you to fish as well which I appreciated.
The property itself seems to still be recovering post hurricanes as some construction and maintenance work are needed especially for attention to detail.
The pool wasn't clean and that was a disappointment as well.
The place has a lot of potential and I'm hoping they'll be able to get there one day or return to better conditions.

Clean room, bathroom and patio. The shower water came out light almost in drip, not full force at all. It was on the ocean but not on the beach. There’s a cliff that you can jump off at your own risk. The ladder to get back up was broken I assume from the last hurricane. The location was close to a convenience store and a few restaurants and bars. The staff was nice but the transportation guy was not! Overall I’d give it a 8/10

I cant say enough about our super great stay at Home Sweet Home! We stayed in room 13 for 11 nights with our grandson. Super great pool and views of the ocean. They fished and snorkeled all day. Would highly reccommend! ❤️

Overall, the stay was comfortable and convenient. View was beautiful. ACs worked good. Beds were comfortable. Staff were amazing.

Only issue was that we did not get the room we booked due to water leaking in from a rain storm. The room we received was smaller and when looking on the website, saw that it was $40 USD cheaper. Inquired about a refund and was told the hotel was already paid for and price couldn’t be adjusted.

This was my second stay at Home Sweet Hone. The first timewas great 7 years ago.

This time it was completely different. First of all, of the 12 nights I stayed here, I was the only guest for 8 of the nights and everyday, around 3:00 p.m. all the staff went home. No nighttime security and with the gate wide open, it was not a secure resort.

Next. the pool. It woukd be great if someone cleaned the pool on a daily basis.

Penthouse. Million dollar view but it would be nice to have east blinds on the windows for the early morning sunrises. My room was cleaned daily. In the 12 days there, my room was only cleaned 5 times. Nice lady, but not dedicated to her job.

Towels were like sandpaper.

Cost. No way was the price charged for the Penthouse justified based on the items above and the general condition of the property.

I will never stay here again. Too bad, as the property has magnificent views.

Great place to stay Home Sweet Home

Great views and awesome service. Bacon, eggs, toast, and coffee was delivered to my rom with a smile. Loved the stay and will stay there again. Recommend this place for your Negril, Jamaica stay. Close to local corner store, bud and bar across the street with live music. Very affordable and nice place to live for a few days since it’s “Home Sweet Home”.

Every thing was amazing ! The view was incredible . You can jump from the cliffs and look out into the blue ocean . Only problem was that the A/C would cut off after 2 mins every time , and breakfast was not included and only offered bacon .. other then that everything was nice !

Overall had a great stay at the property. Some things were a bit dated but the A staff and friendly service made our stay great. We stayed in the “Executive” suite which had a full kitchen and enough space for my entire family (2 adults, 1 teen, 2 Toddlers) We really loved the extra long veranda which gave us an amazing view of the sunset…. We loved the fact that they had a poolside kitchen in which we could order some great home cooked food without leaving the resort. We could order breakfast lunch and dinner for the night ahead of the kitchen closing….. We had a rental car but it’s good to note that almost none of the resorts on the west end are within practical “walking distance” to anything. The roads are narrow and may present to be a hazard to walk down for most.

Amazing stay. The staff was always pleasant, and hospitable. My room was spacious and pristine condition. On the cliffs, for entering into the ocean, to swim or snorkeling. Easy walk to Ricks, about 1 1/2 miles. Great restaurant nearby.
Best location, best prices! Will definitely return. Knutsford bus terminal is close if you chose to travel around Jamaica.

Nice, modest rooms on picturesque cliffs, swimming/lounge/garden areas very nice, beautiful views of the dramatic ocean and sunsets. Adequate staff. HOWEVER, not offered any water or even a piece of fruit upon arrival (or next morning). Informed kitchen/restaurant was broken.Areas of property under construction. Forced go out on UN-walkable, narrow, dangerous road quite a distance to forage for any sustenance. To go anywhere or do anything off-site - including Negril sandy beaches, you must take taxis or minivans or hire driver.

If you are not familiar with Negril and how to get around I would not stay here. Honestly I think I should get some money back!

I got scammed by home sweet home

Well, first of all, I felt like I have been scammed we booked two rooms due to a family event and was dissatisfied with almost everything. Upon arrival I was greeted by pure darkness, at first I thought the place was closed It seemed abandoned. I even had to reach out to the customer service. There were no lights on the property outside anywhere pool area, walkways etc….They were supposed to place us in the deluxe rooms with the sea view which that was NOT the case. Pool was dirty tbh I don’t even know where to start/stop with the complains, to summarize I rest my case by saying. IT WAS OVERLY DISCOMFORTING SO I RETURNED THE KEYS AND WE ALL LEFT NOBODY WANTED TO STAY I FELT SOOO AGGRAVATED!!!!!.

A dated gem

Only spent two nights in Negril at Home Sweet Home resort prior to traveling the island. Negril is a very small sleepy town with plenty of bars and any other party needs well within reach but very little in the way of restaurants or shopping. Perfect for some, not for others. Can’t imagine children would love it. The resort itself is in a good location and the few staff I saw were very friendly. The place is VERY dated and a bit on the dirtier side but not bad. I had fun. My parents would have left. There’s a small pool but the star of the show is the cliff jumping and good snorkeling right on site. That’s specifically why I booked there and it went to plan. By 10pm it’s pretty well dead there, and it was a weekend. Grocery store down the street and a dispensary directly across. No specific complaints but unlikely to return to Negril. Even if I did would most likely stay elsewhere but at $120 a night it was okay.

Disappointing restaurant

Cliff-side location was very scenic, nice landscaping and pool area with stairs down to access water for swimming or snorkeling. But, lots of junk lying around perimeter, empty beer bottles outside buildings never picked up. Room wasn't as nice as I expected. Bed was comfortable, but not \"Tempur-Pedic mattress\" nor \"Premium Bedding\". Hotelscom & Expedia listings both say rooms have microwaves, but direct hotel website shows only some rooms with microwaves. Ours did not. Biggest problem was the restaurant. One of two chefs was out sick for the duration of our stay. Food orders took 1.5 to 2 hrs to be fulfilled. Suggestion was to pre-order meals, i.e. order dinner at lunchtime, which we did once successfully. The second time we tried this we showed up for our pre-ordered dinner and there was no staff at the restaurant at all and no one showed up with our food or an explanation. Nearby food/restaurant choices are very limited. The highway is not very pedestrian friendly to walk any distance, so you have to take a taxi which gets expensive. We were there with friends and expected to save $ by sharing a taxi, but were charged per person/couple.

I booked a deluxe room with seaview and when i checked in i was bought to a room and i thought after entering there was a seaview but there was not. I went back out Immediately to the office to the individual who checked us in and the security guard said he was no longer available. It now maxe it totally transparent that this was a bait and switch. There was no other rooms available according to the security guard and ocean front rooms are usually more money. The room was swellt as if there was sewage issues, tv did not work and I couldnt connect to the internet as the office for check in was closed.

HSH is GREAT! If you like a Clean, Quiet (oddly no music was playing on premises) & Safe (night security Shane watching out for Everyone all night long) Area to stay This is it. Again so quiet even the restaurant music is low. The Restaurant (Westair Quizine) serves delicious Rum punches 😆 The food is good too lol. Some may complain about the late breakfast but I enjoyed it because Im a late riser. The Penthouse views are Beautiful!! Lovely to wake up to & Lay in the Hammock to watch Sunset. The Bed was super Comfortable. There are other Restaurants, Grocery Stores & Ice Cream within 5mins walking distance. Staff is Helpful, Sweet & Friendly. Even called a taxi for us after seeing we were out standing & cldnt flag one down.

Pros - Nice Staff, Views, Food, Drinks & Cleanliness

Cons - Steep & Narrow staircases, Small parking lot & the Dim lights in walkways. I suggest bright LED lightbulbs or Lightropes along the railings so ppl can see where they're walking especially after a few drinks 😁

Other than that We enjoyed our stay and Will Be Back!!

The cliffs are a very fun place to stay because you can jump from them right into the water. Love this place!

Frequent Negril visitor and have stayed here before. Only stayed 1 night this trip. I like to move around a bit and explore new places. I should have stayed longer here. My kids enjoyed the pool and when the water is calm, swimming off the cliffs. Check in was very fast and very friendly. I really like the Executive Suite (first time in this room). Downstairs has 2 beds with one of them in a seperate room with door. Upstairs has full kitchen with big fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker. Big upper porch overlooking ocean. AC! Hot water! Will stay again next time! Soon come!

Fantastic location - really enjoyed the ladder into the sea. Tina, the front desk receptionist was very friendly and kind and allowed us a late check out for free. The pool is kept clean and the fellow guests were kind. The rooms are simple but nice. Good value overall. The breakfast is a bit slow and overpriced. $20 for two people but it took an hour to get the food.

Hotel is a budget lodging in a beautiful location. Rooms show wear and need updating. They are clean and comfortable. Resort grounds are great. The restaurant was horrible. They overcharged and were very rude. My understanding is the owner 86'd them after many guest complaints Don't expect luxury. This is true Jamaica. Complete with motor bikes and barking dogs at night

I loved the cliffs and having access to snorkel their. The pool was nice but the area needed much attention. It would of been nice knowing a few things that came with the room like beach towels and ice. The restaurant/bar needs to change. It would be nice to have someone their to actually take your order. Half the time they weren’t their. And when they were they had a very limited menu that never changed and was over priced. And for the drinks what a disappointment they were in 10oz glasses no fruit and 9.00. I hope next year when I come to visit that this will change because Home Sweet Home could be a diamond in the rough.

When reported to the police and after the staff and police and myself searched the room and luggage, passport showed up but of course the money didn't!! We booked a deluxe king room we got a nasty double. The receptionist told us hotels.com made a mistake. The room is filled with spider webs. Basic cleaning should have taken care of that. The site states that there's a restriction on property. It was never open during our stay. Couldn't even boil water for tea. One of the past reviews mentioned something against blacks. She might have been right. This place is a mess. Only the view is nice.

The truth is: It’s not as fancy as you’d like if that’s what your use to or expecting. BUT!!! My boyfriend and I were VERY comfortable we didn’t ask for much even when we did we’d get it. Everyone around and working there were so chill and nice. The view is everything, beach is 5- 10mins away, budget appropriate not to mention the town is 4 mins away. Easy access to atm, Popeyes, pizza place, supermarkets, clubs, etc. We’ll be definitely going back next summer same room and everything. We really enjoyed our stay it was so hard to leave😩. Thanks guys!!

As described. A great deal for a hotel on the cliffs of Negril, but middle of the road comfort and luxury (clean, but hard bed and pillows). Service was pleasant and efficient, with prompt resolution of an issue, but staff not available at all hours (eg office not yet open at our 9am departure).

This place has the best pizza I have ever had in Negril. The breakfast was also very tasty. I will definitely eat there again the chef is awesome. My room was very spacious and the AC was good. The view from my room was breathtaking.The bed was a little lumpy but I can sleep on anything so was not an issue for me.The bartender made excellent rum punch. Easy sea access and several places in walking distance. I would stay here again.

While the room is a little run-down, the amazingly beautiful view and convenient location are worth it! We were told this was low season, so there was only one other room occupied the entire time we were there. The restaurant and bar were not in operation, so we had to leave the hotel for every meal. We were without hot water the first night, but it was fixed by the time we arrived home from sightseeing the next day.

Good hotel

Great view of the ocean. For our room, it would have been nice if there were a wall to separate the stairs from the balcony. For safety reasons, we would not sleep with the slider open. Staff was nice

This property was safe, clean and comfortable, with beautiful landscaping. Stairs were taken us from our roof top veranda right into the crystal blue Caribbean sea for swimming and snorkeling. Stuff members were very nice, professional and friendly taking care of our every need. We would recommend this property.

If you are looking to stay on the cliff don't waste your time to look for something else. THIS IS THE PLACE !
The best view from each unit ever, large rooms, each unit has a balcony,
Great access to the sea ( jumping, swimming, snorkeling - all you missing on a sandy beach).
Tina is a wonderful manager, always helpful and available.
We had a great time, definitely we'll be back.
