Room was spacious and clean. A little outside of the center but was an easy walk, about 20-30 mins. Breakfast was a nice touch each morning. The only thing that was a challenge was the communication. How to get into the hotel and the room was sent and easy to understand however I got no response when I reached out about where to park the car. Thankfully I knew to look for a gate after looking it up on google maps and someone was leaving so we were able to get in with the car. We would stay here again.

We loved this place and really can't fault it. Everyone was really friendly and helpful, we arrived an hour early but we were able to check in. Our room was lovely and everything was spotless. The mini kitchen was great and the shower was really good. We loved the area too, it was a bit of a walk into the centre, but there is a really regular but service. The area was really smart and had a real village feel, with loads of good restaurants all around. If we return to Bergamo we would definitely stay in the same place.

The room was ok. The hotel position ideal for Atalanta football. There were no curtains meaning light in the room at sun up , spoiling ones sleep. There was no coffee to drink. The single bed was not made up meaning my pal and i had to share for rhe first night.
Breakfast was adequate , continental in the room which was not what i expected.

Excellent value for money, especially considering it offers parking in a busy city location. Recently renovated, stylish modern interior. Spotlessly clean.Comfortable beds and bedding. We loved the ethos of its being run as a social project for the independent living of disabled staff. Kitchenette for (very limited) self catering but lots of cafés & restaurants close by. Be prepared for self check-in with code and keypads on all access points. Might not suit everyone.

We enjoyed our stay here although when we arrived we ended driving past it three times before we worked out how to access the parking lot. Once located, the Residenza Del Borgo proved to be a great place to stay, with large room and wonderful breakfast each day. We'd happily stay here again.

This was a great location on a quiet street that had numerous restaurants and bars but didn't feel busy. The check-in was sent ahead of time, so our very late arrival was not an issue. Parking was a little odd but once we figured it out it was very easy and secure. The breakfast option was just right. The room was clean and comfortable. We highly recommend this location.

If staying around Milan, this is worth a look

If you are looking for a night over after landing (after yet another Ryanair delayed flight that saw us arriving post midnight) in Milan or looking for a place to base yourself, then this is worth your consideration. Nothing to fault and they support local people with special needs with work in the hotel and it was spotless! Self service check in was great and works for those less social arrival times.
Best to contact the hotel to arrange car parking, it took the headache out of finding a car park locally.

The room is very spacious. Every morning they provide a delicious croissant and bread roll for breakfast. Communication with the staff members there is easy. Parking is available for a fee. Very close to Gewiss stadium. Walkable to both the old and new parts of the city.
Rooms facing the road could be noisy at night but they provide ear plugs. They also are very helpful and allow us to change to another room facing the courtyard.

The only place to stay!!

We loved our stay here! So much better than we expected. In particular we appreciated:

1) Bit of food to eat in the room upon arrival - this is so nice after a long journey

2) Teapot & milk! This British tea drinker was thrilled

3) Comfy pillows and comfy bed

4) Big room

5) warm bathroom and Excellent hot shower

6) Maid came in each day to square up the room and replenished food/water/milk/toiletries and was very generous

7) Carolina at reception was very helpful and patient with all my questions about public transport.

8) the street is old fashioned and so pretty with a great pizza place (Grano Puro) directly across!

Residenza del Borgo is in a quiet and close to stores. The room was clean and spacious. Shower has good pressure. Beddings were comfortable. The fridge was well stock up. Helpful staff and good communication with Stefano and Carolin. They also called a taxi for us to the airport. Overall excellent experience, will recommend to our friends.

Room was spacious. Friendly staff and helpful. Unfortunately nearby restaurants were closed on a Tuesday. But we did go to Borghetto and had wonderful pizza and wine , walkable from the Residenza. Breakfast was served in the room with meat, juice, yogurt, cheese, croissants. Parking was private, next to hotel for a small fee but was very convenient.

Bergamo - Need Self Check-In

Only place to stay in Bergamo. It took us 3 1/2 hours to get out of the airport / taxi as so many flights arriving at night and not enough staff to process. Cabs as night very limited. Hence as hotel is self-check-in we had a place to stay. At immigration people were yelling, pushed together, staff had to offer water, didn't matter if you had children, infant or were pregnant. Lady in front of us her reception closed so she has to waiting at airport until it opened. The self-check-in allows that you will have a bed for the night especially if you are arriving late at night. Ryanair we counted approx 10 flights at same time plus ours and the airport just cannot cope.

This was my second visit and the hotel continues to impress me especially the friendly staff and personal service. The rooms are well equipped with a kitchen and everything you would need to self cater. I like the in room breakfast and the lovely fresh baked goods delivered each morning. There is no dining room in the property and breakfast is continental. There are lots of good cheap cafes in the street if you need more.
The location is in a lovely safe residential area of the city and its not touristy and feels like experiencing the local community. Its a short walk to the city walls and Academia Carrera. A bus stop is outside the hotel and its a cheap 5 minute ride to the city centre.

This hotel is more like having an apartment and that suited us perfectly. I stay in hotels 4 days a week so it was nice to have something that was designed a little bit more for making some meals yourself.

Hotel has recently been refurbished, it was really clean, smart & modern.

Roberta (employee) was very helpful & thorough at checkin and was keen to help with any advice.

Location is good, only a short walk from lower city and Città Alta and very close to the football stadium.

We would definitely use this hotel in the future if we decide to revisit Bergamo (which is beautiful)

Very well located apart hotel in a lively street. The room was suitable for our family although initially there was some confusion over policies which was resolved to my satisfaction. The bunk bed provided for kids was not secured but was fixed on request. The overall quality of the room was high but I found the shower a little cramped. The in room breakfast was good for the flexibility it offered however the croissants served were not very good and you cant just pick up more bread like in a normal buffet. The staff was courteous and willing to help. I would not hesitate to book this place again.

The hotel is modern and comfortable - a recent renovation of an old building in a safe residential part of the city. There are bars, cafes and shops nearby. Buses to the city centre pass stop outside, or walk there in 20 minutes. The staff were friendly and very helpful and i was taken to my room and how everything worked explained to me in person. The room had a mini kitchen with microwave, coffee machine, fridge and all utensils. Breakfast is taken in the room with bread delivered each morning and everything else left in the fridge. The air con was quiet and efficient. There was a smart TV but only Italian channels.

Residenza Del Borgo was a superb property with the perfect location in Bergamo. It is located in the Citta Bassa, just down the hill from the Citta Alta. The location could not have been better. Via Borgo Santa Caterina is walkable street with a wonderful neighborhood feel including small cafes, fashionable shops, wine bars and restaurants - two of the top 10 in the city.

The property has just been renovated. It is modern and chic - just what we wanted. The service was phenomenal! We got great information before arriving and help getting to the parking. Advice on restaurants, sites and map could not have been better. We loved everyone at the Residenza!

Don't miss Bergamo, especially if you want to experience a medieval city without the crowds. And don't miss Residenza Del Borgo!

Hotellet sto til forventningene. Mest poeng for nydelige gode senger, gode toalettprodukter, nydelig fersk bakst til frokist, god service. Vi følte oss godt ivaretatt på alle måte. Hotellet ligger i en fin gate med hyggelige butikker, fine koselige kafeer og barer. Fint fangavstand til gamlebyen og selve bykjernen. Vi kommer igjen.

Schöne Appartment Pension in toller Lage - die Strasse ist wirklich wunderbar. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und zweckmässig sowie top sauber und mit Küchenzeile. Das Frühstück ist dürftig aber solide. Auf dem grossen Balkon gibt es leider keinerlei Möbel. Leider ist die Rezeption zum check-in nicht besetzt, was etwas nervig ist. Für was es ist zu teuer - ich komme dennoch wieder...

Jeg syns rommet vi fikk var stort og fint, vi hadde veldig god plass. Vi fikk servert ferske rundstykker og crossanter i en kurv som henger på veggen på utsia døra av rommet, hver morgen rundt kl 0700. Veldig enkelt med kode istanfor romnøkkel. Hyggelig og behjelpelig peronalet. Jeg kunne fint bodd der igjen!
