We had an incredible stay here. The pools were beautiful and well kept. Food was good, of course pricier than local options but still fairly priced and fresh. The landscaping and grounds and boardwalk were a dream though. Amazing work they have done here. It has to be decades of tending and pruning.

The property manager was able to help us with our tour plans as well. We found cave tubing and ziplining through her connection to be cheaper than booking online.

It’s a great property, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The layout is expansive and peaceful, with multiple pools and a serene jungle atmosphere. That said, you’ll definitely want to rent a car if you plan to explore, grab food, or go on excursions—transportation to and from the resort ran nearly $200 each way for us. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to secure a rental. Overall, if you’re looking for something affordable with an authentic jungle getaway vibe, this is a solid option.

We absolutely loved the grounds. Saw a ton of birds including parrots, a kingfisher, warblers, hummingbirds and toucans to name a couple highlights.

The big issue we had was the room was attached to another and it had no sound proofing at all. So we could hear conversations, we could hear and feel every movement by our neighbor.

The room was nice other than that though. Beds were comfortable. Water pressure was strong. Room was spacious and clean.

We would return if we could stay in a single family cabin but doubt we would return otherwise, unfortunately.

Everything was great. My only complaint is that they played music and other tv noise at the restaurant. The nature sounds is what I came for, not bar music!! Please make the restaurant a no music zone and let us listen to the birds, geckos, and howler monkeys!! They are amazing!!

The place is a bit dated, but overall a nice serene escape if you're looking to disconnect and relax. Staff was super polite and helpful the entire time. Upon entering our room, it was clean aside from a condom wrapper on the ledge and a used condom in the trash can which we can only assume came from staff after the room had beed cleaned. That was pretty gross and not a great start to the visit. Several of the lights in the room didn't work and the private plunge pool is not heated, but not a big deal. The toilet wouldn't flush and I found out that the mechanism was literally being held together with a gum wrapper, but was able to fix it enough to have an operable toilet. The main pool was nice, though a little dirty and also unheated. Food was very good, but kitchen hours were pretty limited which again isn't a huge deal but would've been good to know beforehand. The location is down a very bumpy dirt road and not close to anything, so it's a 25 minute drive each way to food or drinks outside the resort and you'd want an SUV or pickup if driving yourself (not as scary as you think, if you're new to Belize) as a small car would bottom out quite a bit. Overall we were pleased with the trip and found some hidden gems, but this probably isn't a place I'd recommend unless you want to stay on resort the whole time.

I had an amazing experience at Dream Valley Belize. The staff is truly outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable.

The property itself is huge, beautifully maintained, and incredibly relaxing. There’s so much to do—you’ll never feel bored. From the two pools to the variety of games and activities available, it’s perfect for both families and anyone looking to unwind or stay active.

The location is fantastic—peaceful, scenic, and perfectly situated to enjoy the surroundings. Although we didn’t get a chance to try the spa services, the range of amenities offered at such a great price point is impressive.

And the food—absolutely delicious. Every meal we had was really, really good.

Overall, Dream Valley Belize offers an incredible combination of comfort, activities, value, and service. Highly recommend!

Dream Valley was a perfect combination of location, relaxation and privacy. We stayed 4 nights in cabin #7- a spacious room with a private plunge pool overlooking the Belize River. The resort is located close to the ATM Cave and mid-way between Belize City and San Ignacio- a perfect staging point for all your explorations. The resort is staffed by a fantastic team- Lucy, Carmen, Kelly and Jenny (and others!) made our stay very enjoyable. They are super friendly, attentive and accommodating. The food was amazing, with lots of options. The resort offers spa treatments (we enjoyed massages), a couple outdoor pools and we highly recommend taking the canoe for a paddle up river- we saw all kinds of wildlife, including the entertaining Howler Monkeys! Would highly recommend including Dream Valley in your Belize plans.

We had a wonderful stay here. The property is beautiful, clean, and very relaxing. It’s a little off the beaten path, which we actually loved because it was so peaceful and quiet.

The staff really made the experience special. Carmen at the front desk was fantastic and very welcoming, and Kelly, our server, was incredibly patient and accommodating throughout our stay.

The food was consistently amazing, and my friends really enjoyed spending time at the pool. Overall, it was a calm and comfortable place to unwind, and we had a great experience. I would absolutely stay here again.

Our stay at Dream Valley was absolutely unforgettable. We booked the honeymoon suite tucked into the jungle of Belmopan along the Belize River, and it was everything we hoped for and more. Having our own private pool surrounded by lush greenery made it feel secluded, peaceful, and incredibly special.

The suite itself was exceptional — beautifully designed, comfortable, and perfectly suited for a romantic getaway. The staff truly made the experience stand out. Carmen went above and beyond to help us coordinate excursions and transportation, making everything seamless and stress-free. Her attention to detail and genuine care did not go unnoticed.

The restaurant deserves special recognition — the food was five-star quality. Dining on the balcony while sipping drinks at sunset was one of the most romantic experiences of the trip. The atmosphere, the views, and the flavors were all outstanding.

The only piece of advice for future guests: the hotel is in a remote location and not within walking distance of anything. We highly recommend renting a vehicle to make exploring easier.

If you’re looking for a romantic, jungle retreat with exceptional service and unforgettable scenery, Dream Valley is the perfect choice. We would absolutely return.

The kind, capable, and attentive staff at beautiful Dream Valley resort was the highlight for us. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. We are two couples traveling, and each of our rooms were lovely, very spacious and well appointed. We enjoyed beautiful views of the river, on the spectacular sights and sounds of the birds, and howler monkeys in the surrounding jungle. We even spotted a coati! Dream Valley is conveniently located near the must see ATM cave as well as cave floating opportunities. With two pools and a delicious restaurant on property, Dream Valley offers a relaxing retreat for travelers.

This was a lovely stay. It was the end of our two week trip, so we enjoyed relaxing and watching the wildlife. The room was huge and the porch very comfortable. We heard howler monkeys and parrots, saw toucan and hummingbirds all from the porch. Only ate one meal there but it was yummy and food came out quickly. It was fun exploring the capital city for lunch and going to the market. We missed the office, but it was totally our fault. Go up the stairs to the right of the parking lot by the flags and horse sculpture. WiFi not great but that gives you a chance to unplug and enjoy the rainforest.

Such an incredible place. Rooms are roomy and beautifully put together. There are two separate resort areas, where the one we stayed in was more charming and had better views. It is located closer to the restaurant than the other resort area. Wooden boardwalks connect the rooms with beautiful jungle and river views. Restaurant food is delicious, not a huge menu, but some great local Belizean options.
Would recommend staying here if you are exploring the area, caves and Mayan ruins are an easy short drive from the resort and they can book tours for you with pick up from their hotel.

This spectacular getaway is aptly named Dream Valley--and for very good reasons. The beautiful setting and spacious room exceeded the online description and photographs by far! Located along the Belize river, it is both private and serene, and a gorgeous place to watch the sun set over the jungle after a day long trip to the Must-Do ATM caves or a trip to Xunantunich ruins--which the staff helped arrange ahead of our arrival. We will be back, the next time for a longer visit. It was way too short at four days.

We had a great stay at this hotel, and the staff really went out of their way to make it pleasant. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. The room was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed spending time on the balcony overlooking the river, where it was easy to relax and watch the birds. Mornings came with the sounds of howler monkeys, and evenings by the river were filled with frogs, which added to the atmosphere. The hotel has a great restaurant, and eating outside in the evenings was very enjoyable. Bug spray is a must, but the geckos on the patio ceiling were clearly doing their best to keep the mosquitoes in check. Overall, it was an easy, relaxing stay, and we’d be happy to come back.

We loved the scenery, staying in a cabin overlooking the river and nature was really nice. The birds and howler monkeys gave a unique ‘jungle feelling’. The food was really tasty (we enjoyed the fact that they had breakfast and dinner options for vegetarians). We selected this particular resort for the outdoor jacuzzi which was a nice touch to the suite.

However, we didn’t like the fact the jacuzzi did not remain hot. The water kept going cold so we only enjoyed one night in the jacuzzi. Also, the food was a bit overpriced for a resort that is within the range to easily locate ingredients and products for them to prepare the food. The prices were in line with private Caye resort prices but the private cayes need to outsource their ingredients and food products which is understandable, this inland resort does not. We’ve stayed at many luxury resorts and this one is definitely on the pricier side and in my opinion it is not a luxury resort.

Also, the flies were a problem only at night time because the house keeper left the door open while she was cleaning, so the flies were bothersome in the night and disturbed our sleep.

However, it was an overall great stay. We would definitely be back sometime in the future.

Dream Valley has beautiful, well-maintained grounds. Our cabin was spotless, exactly as described, with a comfy bed and excellent hot showers. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

That said, a few things fell short. No ice machine means no ice outside of bar hours, and water provided wasn’t cold — not ideal in the heat. The access road is rough, requiring 4WD when raining. A bus got stuck before our arrival, leaving deep, muddy trenches. Even with AWD, getting in and out was nerve-wracking enough that we considered leaving.

The restaurant was disappointing. The menu was very limited, especially for vegetarians, (something we inquired about prior to booking & were told they could accommodate) and overpriced. Service was inattentive — even when we were the only table, our waitress barely checked on us, more focused on her phone than guests. In a setting like that, you’d expect a little more attention, at the very least keeping water glasses filled in a humid climate.

Dream Valley has potential, but until the road is improved, amenities like ice are added, and dining service is addressed, it’s hard to fully recommend.

Wow! Is all that really can be said. The natural beauty of this hotel are what other places spend thousands of dollars trying to recreate. Located on the river banks with nothing else in sight, thoughtfully manicured grounds giving way to the Belizean jungle. You truly can feel away from it all. The hotel offers a lot to do on-site as well canoeing on the river, mini golf, a swimming pool, spa services, hikes around the property and a good restaurant with bar. And they can also set you up for a tour to any one attractions in the area. The staff goes out of their to meet the needs of their guests. We stayed in the Owner's Suite on the far end of all the bungalows with the jetted tub on the balcony style patio overlooking the river. Totally private with a wide open view of the river and nothing else but nature to look. Amazing, highly recommend.

the location was very secluded and lovely. The two pools were a very nice amenity. It was easy to get luggage in and out of the rooms. The air conditioning was awesome and the Wi-Fi was really fast and consistent.
One thing I was disappointed about was the lack of hooks or bars for towels (or wet swimsuits, etc.)anywhere in the room or bathroom. We were in the Treehouse room, so I am not sure if the other rooms had towel racks/hooks.
Other than that, our stay was perfect!

Dream Valley was beautiful. Stayed in a King room on the river and watched the parrots in the morning and listened to the howler monkeys. We would take a dip in the pool after a full day of activities. Anderson was awesome:). The only thing they could not accommodate us with was a massage. I guess you need to book way in advance. But not a deal breaker. We would definitely go back.

Terrible communication, directions were a list of prices for shuttles to different places. We drove two miles down a dirt road to a gate that looked on the map to be the place completely blind and without connection… calls were not answered, messages were not returned. We had to find alternative accommodation last minute at 7PM on Election Day.

First night was interrupted by next door neighbour blasting music. Staff dealt with it effectively once we let them know. Wall between the rooms are not sound proof.

Beds were very comfortable and linens clean.
Accommodations were made for dietary needs and food overall was good.

After first night, things became much quieter and peaceful even though the resort was full (as described by staff). Service was excellent.
Staff were kind and eager to please.

With respect to the grounds, saw that hedges needed some trimming and that would have made things look very well-maintained but overall good rating.

Pros: The setting of this lodge is beautiful; right on the Belize river. We heard so many birds at this resort, and even howler monkeys in the morning and evening. It's an extremely peaceful place, and a lovely garden surrounded by nature.

Cons: Seemed a bit run-down, electricity kept going out, it's quite isolated and is a long way from any other activities, the restaurant food was terrible but being so far away it's the only option. It was a good 'home base' for use to be away from civilization, but we should've brought our own food. The road to the property is also pretty unkempt, so a 4x4 is recommended especially during rainy season.

This place is kind of genius. There's something about the juxtaposition of sitting in the middle of the jungle at night and dining like you're in a metropolitan city (my compliments to the chef). The rooms/bathrooms/patios are massive, with hammocks, and the pool is clutch. Everyone on staff is sweet and attentive. The road to get there is a little bumpy, but think of it as part of the seclusion and charm.

Every thing was excellent the whole stay. Such a unique property with bridges that run from one end of the resort to the other. Absolutely beautiful property, clean and well taken care of. It really was a dream. I stayed in one of the suites that had the jacuzzi on the porch overlooking the river. The restaurant and staff were also wonderful. This was a solo trip for me and actually ran into 2 other single woman there at the same time. It felt very safe so would be a great option if single and not sure where to stay. It couldnt have gotten any better and would love to stay with them again. It even had a smart T.V. which is important while I am traveling alone.

This was a great place to unwind and relax. Our cabin was spacious and had everything we needed. Pools were great to cool off in. The location is great if you have a car as it is close to allot activities… Art Box, tubing, zip lines and Belmopan. The road in is a little rough but not to bad if you go slow

This was a fantastic jungle location. Our room, the owner suite was excellent. What an amazing view. The jungle comes to life in the early hours of the morning. Great staff and food at restaurant. Will do room service.

We arrived unexpectedly with 30 other WestJet passengers stranded due to the tropical storm. The staff was amazing! They made sure everyone was well taken care of. Last minute organized incredible buffet style meals for everyone. They even accommodated sever food allergies for someone in our group. The property is beautiful, the rooms are very clean, outstanding staff.

Dream Valley's location is beautiful and the cabins are spacious. We had a rivers view cabin and it was great to sit on the private patio and watch and listen to the wildlife (tons of birds, howlers moneys). Pool is great. 2nd time we have stayed and would stay again.

In the heart of a tropical storm Dream valley had an influx of guests they were not expecting. They quickly pivoted and got 45 unexpected guests checked in, planned meals and even had welcome drinks for everyone. Throughout the weekend staff members worked long tireless hours to make sure all guest were taken care of, even though their own houses were in danger of flooding from the storms. We are forever grateful for all of the staff at Dream Valley for taking the stress out of a stressful situation for everyone who came from Belize when the storm closed the airport and accommodations were hard to find. Thank you is not enough! Highly recommend this place for future vacations.

Peaceful getaway in the jungle

Very amazing secluded place along belize river. Cabins were huge with nice bathroom and comfy bed. Facility is lush with beatiful trees and plants. The staff was amazing and helpful. Pool is huge and clean. Would definitely stay again.

The property was family oriented which was the goal of our trip. We enjoyed quality time with our family (whether in the pool or playing fuse ball). Note worthy from our dining experience was fresh meals and natural juices prepared for us by the friendly staff!

The staff was amazing! However, the accommodations and the restaurant were very overpriced for what they offer. The rooms are set up weird, with the bed on an elevated area (where all the heat rises to). The couch was uncomfortable, and the TV didn't work right. Maintenance around the property was terrible. The trees are all covered in dead palm fronds and need pruning, and we were locked out of our room for 45 minutes because the deadbolt was rusted and wouldn't unlock. The restaurant is expensive with average food at best.

A gem in the jungle

I stayed in a King room with a garden view. I was looking for a solo getaway where I could just relax in comfort, swim, and eat a restaurant on the premises. From the moment I was greeted by Tania and Darcy, I knew that I could not ask for more. Once I took in the unobstructed panoramic view, I was so delighted at having found this place. The room was beautifully appointed, the bed was super comfy, water pressure in the shower was great, and I was steps from the pool. Air conditioning was much appreciated and needed. This place meets, if not surpasses, the standards of an American traveler.

Note: This cabin was further from the main building and restaurant, where there are river views and another pool, but I wanted to save money. I highly recommend this resort if you want luxury in the Belmopan area. I would suggest paying extra for the river view units if you don't want to, or can't, walk up and down a trail path.
