The staff were super friendly when u stayed there. When I asked to leave my luggage before checking in they said yes and actually took it to my room so that hotel was awesome for that. Plus right in front there’s an awesome ramen restaurant that serves the best ramen in my opinion with super friendly staff. 10/10 recommend, and the hotel is near a lot of shopping areas.

We had a positive stay at Shizuoka Town Hotel. The hotel is modern and up to the regular Japanese standards. It's in a great, lively area, but the room was still relatively quiet. The only bad part was our bed and pillows - both were fairly stiff and uncomfortable. However, the staff at this location was the most accommodating we've had in Japan. One of the members literally chased us into the rain to give us an umbrella. The entire staff spoke English well and were beyond courteous.

Their complementary breakfast was light and okay but enough to hold you until you find somewhere to eat. The room was a fair size for Japan and clean. Budget hotel with excellent service. We checked in very late, already past 11PM, and the concierge was extremely helpful in making sure we get settled in as quick as possible. He even offered the kids small toys to cheer them up as he saw that they were already tired from the trip. The room was comfortable enough for us (2 adults and 2 young kids). The stay included a simple breakfast buffet of bread, butter, jams, and assortment of drinks and instant soup, nothing fancy but enough to fill you up before you venture out for the day. The same concierge was there to assist the guests should we need anything. Check out was also smooth. Location is alright, it's a bit of a walk from Shizuoka station but quite manageable even with a baby stroller and light luggage. Overall is was a good overnight stay. Would recommend it to travellers looking for a simple, fuss-free place to stay.

Some receptions can speak English well and all employees including cleaning staffs are well-educated about hospitality. Asked room change for the noise upstairs and they made it for free.

budget hotel with simple breakfast
close to JR station, breakfast incl assortment of bread and instant soups (pretty much carb only), my single rm had no shelving for luggage (must put it on the floor), washroom amenity lacks shower scrubber so just get one from nearby daiso, otherwise good service and clean hotel. And their kettle was already full of fresh water which they say is refilled every day. The staffs also accepted mail for me a few days prior to check in and placed it in my room.

It is usual Japanese budget hotel, where the room is small. However, the room is not very clean, and it was a bit messy when I first arrived. Staff didn't try to explain much details during check in. I am only happy to stay again because of the price.

A Nice Downtown Hotel
My first stay at this hotel. Its amenities are the same as other business hotels with cheaper rates, though the bed's quality seems nicer here (I appreciate the cushion around the wall corner). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast though was about the same as the \"continental breakfast\" at Days Inn, and the hotel is located in the middle of the nightlife area, so there may be traffics and noises at night (though I didn't notice enough to bother me), but that also makes the location quite convenient.

The hotel is near to the main train station, within walking distance and close to the old grounds of the ancient Shizuoka castle, and the new government buildings. The street is filled with action at night at yet it is pleasingly quiet inside the hotel, there is a shopping street just a block or so away and the pricing seems reasonable to the standards of the city, so I wouldn't doubt in recommending it to anyone.

While the small rooms here might not be for everyone, for $50 a night and being in the center of the city, it is a great deal! I stayed for 10 nights and was extremely pleased. Hotel staff was friendly and attentive, and rooms were top notched cleaned daily unless we told staff not to.
It is a 10 minute walk to the subway and bullet train, and close to lots of great restaurants and department stores.
If you are a small person, I highly reccomend this place. If you are a large person, you will need to book elsewhere as this is a very compact room, just big enough to have bed, table, tv and bidet bathroom.

Spent one night here with a friend as we were at an event and didn't want to leave early to catch the trains back home. The hotel is conveniently located from Shizuoka Station but it's pretty non descrip so look for the sign overhead carefully. The double bed is small but worked for us being females and average sized. If you roll, stretch or kick in your sleep, get a room for yourself. Hotel staff understood more English than they spoke so don't be afraid of not being able to communicate

スタッフの対応が良い。また室内の清掃も行き届いており良かったです。ただ、宿泊した部屋の窓を開けると隣のビルの壁。やむを得ないと思いますが、外の様子が見えないので天気がわからないのと、窓を開けると近隣の飲食店の臭いが・・・。窓を開けない、外の様子は別の場所（非常階段脇のコインランドリー）に行けばわかるので、それ以外は繁華街の中心、駅・コンビニが近いなどで満足。次回も機会があれば利用したいと思います。
