Lovely property and immaculate throughout. Friendly staff. The dinner was very good, but was very disappointed with the breakfast. Top tip: if you want to walk into the town, use the quiet path opposite the hotel, rather than the risky main road with no sidewalk. Recommended overall.

The lovely and comfortably grand accomodations. Traditional, idyllic, charming château and SoF experience. Views to the ocean from the rooms. Spacious with high ceilings, winding marble staircases, beautiful sun exposure for SoF tan by the pool, pianist entertainment while dining under the stars... May I be so lucky to return!🤞☺️

It’s an old world hotel oozing with charm. Our room with the terrace overlooking the beautiful pool and the Sea was perfect. The location was private and in an exclusive neighbourhood away from the downtown core. So tranquil and spectacular. The little village around the local Turnaround had everything.

Wonderful property, spotless and comfortable. Fantastic breakfast. Pool area very nice, evening dining by the pool with life music magical. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel is very close to town center (market on Sunday is a must!) but it’s not safe to walk due to windy road and no sidewalks. Had to take the car for super short distances. Otherwise terrific place!

Breakfast was no longer possible at 9:30 and the reason was that they were not expecting so many guests for breakfast. 👏🙈 There was only 20% of the possible assortment for breakfast. Everything was already eaten and the staff did not add anything. We haven't seen this anywhere before. We left the hotel without breakfast. There was no attempt to offer an alternative. We had our car at a garage and had to call a taxi from the hotel, the receptionist did not inform us that they were sending us a private driver, so we were subsequently charged double the price for the drive to Saint Tropez. I think it should be polite to inform the hotel staff that they are ordering a completely different service than what we ordered. I do not recommend this place

This place is nice in pics but very remote and it’s very difficult to move around if you don’t have your own cars, Ubers are impossible to get and drivers request ungodly amount of money to move you around. In addition the air conditioning is weak and pace often feels like it’s missing staff members. The grounds are gorgeous but unless you’re planning on never leaving the hotel, for the price and inconvenience associated with transportation it’s not worth it

Pretty hotel, set back from the road. Comfortable bed and room. Shower had to be hand held. Overall a nice experience, somewhat spoiled by the lack of a free bottle of drinking water in the room, and a small can of Perrier from the minibar costing 4.50 euros. Worst part of the experience was being offered a pool towel and then being told on checking out that the one time use of this towel was an eyewatering 5 euros.

We stayed for 8 days for our wedding anniversary. Everything was just as we could have wished. The room was light and spacious with a fantastic sea view. The pool area was quiet and relaxing. The room was serviced each day. The times we needed any assistance from the staff they were fantastically helpful

Superbly located hotel away from the bustle that often is the Côte d'Azur! Lovely pool area. Restaurant serves delicious food though under-used by guests! Hotel notnas grand as it initially seems but comfortable overall. Staff could not be more welcoming and helpful. Our mattress needed renewing as it sunk in middle. Bathroom layout slightly odd! Would definitely go back again!

front desk staff were rude, it was like you were bothering them to ask questions on what to do. The male suggested i go to the tourist center and was getting annoyed when i asked questions about the beach.

Other female seemed annoyed when i was asking abut restaurant suggestions.

The room guide said we are here to help you, it was quite ironic.

They would let me check in early, even though the room was ready too, 2 hours i had to wait.

Hotel near Saint tropez by car.

I have never written a review on Expedia before as I have always been satisfied with the hotels I have booked through your site. This time though I will write a review to warn people.

We had a room for 3 people that faced the back of the building. We realize now that because we booked through Expedia they have us the worst room.

We had an ant infestation in our room, they where crawling up my daughters bed! We where told it was our fault as we have a child and she must have eaten in the room! Nice customer service! The shower attachment on the wall was broken, we could only have a bath and the hand spray was leaking. Black mould in the bathroom around sink and shower curtain had pink mould. The beds where at least 25 years old hard and just terrible. No good pillows only hard foam ones, very uncomfortable. The floors were sandy and dirty the room was also dusty like it's not used that often. They have a lovely pool but no pool towels. They charge 5 euros per towel. We paid for some, one of them was very small and stained with bleach. How can you give this to someone? When I asked about the towels, the woman was very unapologetic and said "it's stated on the site, no towels" what a rip off. She also turned her nose up at the fact that we booked on Expedia like that was somehow below the other guests. Overall the location is nice and the grounds and pool are lovely but the service is terrible and the room was also a 1 or 2 star. Not comfortable for a family.

The outside of this hotel is gorgeous and grand and so is grounds. The hallways were industrial like and the room was dirty and the overall interior was creepy with hallway lights going off and on. The bathroom shower had mold growing in a straight line out the grout lines like hair. Gross. The floors felt nasty dirty and I had ants crawling in my luggage in the morning. We were greeted well and had good check in experience. Check out was cold and rude. Dinner at their restaurant was great. The buffet breakfast was terrible and my husband got sick on the eggs.

So glad we stayed here. Our room had a commanding view looking from St Croix-Valmers toward Cavalaire. Very large, very comfortable, very nice pool. Christopher at the front desk was especially warm and helpful. The hotel is about 8 miles from St. Tropez and one route includes a particularly winding, narrow road, but we still loved the location. Would definitely stay there again. Think of this as a four star property without uniformed porters.

Beautiful little chateau + extra house

Got a room in the small house in the garden. Nicely renovated with our own little terrace. Nice bath and very clean.

Be aware that you can be placed here when you book the small rooms.

Staff in the reception did make a stressed impression and will not be remembered.

Very nice breakfast buffet in the garden with all you want for a great start of the day.

Bar man in the pool area was OK.

Forget the star ratings - this place is magical!

Ask for sea view (see pic below). Maybe this place is not as plush as some overblown Vegas hotel - but you WON'T miss it. This place has CLASS. It is AGELESS. It is CLEAN and its classic Architecture (mosaic tile floors, winding stairs with marble steps, beautiful lines, high-end finishes, and colors of Côte d'Azur) as well modern convenience of fridge & A/C in room & an elevator for those who need it will make you forget any other amenity you thought you needed. You won't miss a thing! You'll be spoiled in the best that South of France has to offer in EVERY way. The view from the room ALONE is worth the price. It is only a few minutes drive (down blossom lined streets) from the most secretive, uncrowded beaches in Cap Lardier (among others). The pool is excellent (Champagne by pool is a nice touch & inexpensive :-). All Americans who miss their bacon, eggs, & potatoes for breakfast will LOVE the breakfast buffet here too, which includes ALL that AND your Euro favorites TOO (awesome bread, croissants, pastries, fruit, etc.). My wife and I stayed here three times in the last eight years; experience is the same every time: MAGIC! Call them! :-)

A classic French villa experience.

The Hotel l'Orangeraie is a tremendous find. It is located on the edge of the small town of La Croix Valmer, along a winding road. The approach is through huge cast iron gates, and onto a white gravel car park. The access to the reception is up a grand stone stairway. Reception is in a period setting space - high ceilinged and bright. The staff are wonderfully welcoming and helpful. Our room was quite large with big windows and although it overlooked the rear - our view was of grass and trees. In front of what was at one time a convent, is large swimming pool (I assume this was not installed by the nuns) surrounded by wicker loungers and chairs. You can be served drinks and food by great staff members. The breakfast is buffet and is really good. One eats breakfast either indoors or out in the beautiful sunshine of an early morning Cote Azure day.

One of the best places I've ever stumbled upon. A beautifully converted Convent with rich architectural detail. Perched atop a hill with a beautiful view of the Mediterranean. We were only scheduled there for one night, but would have loved to have stayed for additional days. Free parking, great staff and felt very secure. And a short drive to St. Tropez.

we did book at budget room so i didn't expect anything to special, i was very pleasantly surprised with the budget room. the only downside was the shower which didn't have an overhead stand, so it blasted your belly, plus there wasn't a shower curtain so the entire shower room was soaked......

Beautiful place with SO much potential.

We were only here for one night and it was great for what we needed. The whole place is beautiful and has SO much potential. Pool area lovely. We didn't dine at the hotel but went to the fabulous 'Cafe Valmer' 5 minutes away in La Croix Valmer (a must). Staff at the hotel were lovely.

When you see the hotel on the website and first pull into the drive the hotel looks impressive. Country hotel, swimming pool, large outdoor gravelly garden for breakfast - it looked so promising!

Unfortunately the reality was much different. Aside from one member of reception staff, who was fantastic, the staff were at best uninterested, with a streak of surly not usually seen much outside Paris. The corridors were dirty, and unbelievably, there was litter in the elevators and other public areas.

We didn't try the breakfasts (priced at €17 or €19 per person per day - a ludicrous price for a breakfast, even for a 5 star hotel, which this was not). Even the free wifi was annoying - you constantly were being automatically logged out every few minutes. However I managed to get enough internet access to search for another hotel, just down the road. The other hotel we stayed in was the same price as L'Orangerie, but was far far better, and breakfast was included in the price (les 3 Iles).

The beaches, countryside and restaurants in the surrounding area are great, but do yourself a favour and find somewhere else to stay.

We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! It is low key and set in beautiful grounds. It is a truly beautiful building with large windows and very high ceilings. The hotel was originally a monastery and is very peaceful. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it. Excellent staff who could have not been more helpful.

This hotel was wonderful. It was a truly old fashioned hotel - with a beautiful entry way and seating area. The room was small (but not tiny) and VERY comfortable. There is no air conditioning, except for in the ocean view rooms, but it really didnt bother us (and my husband is TERRIBLE about a/c). The large windows opened and fans are provided - we just stuck the fan in the window. My husband said it was more comfortable than a/c! They offer a wonderful breakfast (included in the rate - unusual for Frnace) in front of the hotel on a little patio by the pool. The town also has an abundance of fantastic pastry shops. Enjoy!

Eines der wenigen Hotels welches wir schon seit 10 Jahren regelmäßig besuchen. Über die Jahre hat es sich immer mehr verschönert. Regelmäßig wird saniert und der Service ausgebaut. Top.
Mittlerweile ist es nun ein 4 Sterne Hotel was es sich wirklich verdient hat. Wir kommen sehr gerne hier hin und fühlen uns immer wohl auch der Garten und das Haus sind absolut sehenswert.

Accueil laborieux, chambre exiguë et remontées de canalisations. Quelle déception pour un hôtel à ce prix.
La bâtisse de l'extérieur est superbe, la vue depuis la chambre aussi, mais dès que l'on passe la porte c'est autre chose..
Cerise sur le gâteau, on ne vous fourni pas les serviettes de piscine, vous êtes priés d'utiliser l'unique fournie dans la chambre. Il paraît que c'est à cause du covid... et pendant ce temps, la réceptionniste vous parle sans masque.

Très bel hôtel dans un lieu majestueux entouré d’un beau jardin au calme , piscine et terrasse très agréable .
Nous y avons séjourné 3 jours dans une petite chambre double / standard à la décoration soignée avec un «style provençal et patines » , literie très confortable et propreté irréprochable .
Seul petit point à revoir :
- très mauvaise connexion Wifi .
-Une cafetière Nexpresso ou une bouilloire avec un kit nescafé et thé
seraient bienvenue dans la chambre .

Camera spaziosa, spettacolare vista mare e isole d'oro, silenzio e tranquillità; ben collocato per raggiungere diverse mete (spiaggie, località rinomate come Ramatuelle e Gassin, oltre naturalmente a S.Tropez!)

Estancia agradable pero cama incómoda!

Nuestra estancia fue agradable y placentera en la piscina y con la atención recibida pero cambió al llegar la noche. Ya en la habitación nos pasamos la noche matando mosquitos!! Además, la cama era incómoda y ruidosa, y con una sola almohada! Entiendo q es un antiguo convento restaurado en hotel pero por favor la cama q sea actual!

Tres beau 3 étoiles près de la plage de Pampelone

Agréable séjour avec vue sur la mer (au loin) et la piscine. Bel hotel bien situé mais nécessite une voiture pour se déplacer. Pourrait mériter une quatrième étoile...

réservation juste pour une nuit. Accès à l'accueil et aux chambres par un grand escalier extérieur, pas pratique du tout (il y a un ascenseur pour accéder aux étages). Chambre bruyante près des compresseurs de clim, plutôt petite avec très peu de rangements. Pour un 3* pas de gardien de nuit, et parking compliqué. Du coté positif, bel immeuble, beau jardin, joli piscine (pas testée) et bien placé.
