Our stay was an amazing experience. From the staff, the decorations, ambiance, everything was excellent!! Julio Avila one of the concierge was extremely helpful, he went about and beyond to made our vacation an epic memories. He help us to book the beach clubs, restaurants and and the personal in gral was always available for any request we had. The housekeeper did our room services with lot of care and love, Juan Pablo from the restaurant also was lovely to us. Very recommended stay!! 😍

Staying at Roc Luxe Tulum was one of the best decisions for our trip. It was effortless to communicate with the staff through WhatsApp chat and they made amazing recommendations for food and outings. They helped us to find activities that were even better than the ones we had planned in the first place.

We walked along the beach and thought Roc Luxe Tulum was easily the best spot out of all the hotels. The floating beds on the beach were amazing and it was the PERFECT location. It was within walking distance of most night life and food options and far enough from the beach clubs, so it wasn’t loud.

10/10 would recommend.

My stay with amazing. I was looking for a long time on which property to stay at in tulum beach and chose this one. I couldn’t have been happier with my decision. Mau and Julio were very accommodating and made the entire experience wonderful. The property is beautiful and in a great location to walk to things. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you to the from desk on such a wonderful stay. The massages on the beach are great too!

The property is beautiful and located right on the beach (if you are staying on the luxe side). Rooms are a good size and had AC units. The beach club has stunning views and relaxing beds. The staff was super friendly but Julio went above and beyond to make my stay pleasant. The concierge is through Whatsapp and their response time was less than 2 minutes every time. The only thing was their shower products were not great so I would bring my own next time. Overall, I had an amazing time and would definitely come back.

Is fairly idyllic within and the rooms are fine but the staff are useless and never do what they say they will or bring what you need in the room. Beach is nice but the prices for drinks and food are ridiculous. Really quite basic and not 4 star in any way

Beautiful palapa huts on the beach. Lovely breakfast included with the stay. We did move rooms as the garden side was very noisy from nearby rubbish disposal and construction work.

The staff here is amazing. The service was great. The property is very pretty and the location is ideal, it's on the strip but a little removed from the high traffic area. A few things that were subpar... the water pressure in the shower was low and the water was never really warm. The wifi in the rooms (garden side) was not so great. The AC in the room was cool but not cold. Also, lots and lots of mosquitoes.

MY WIFE AND I JUST GOT BACK FROM THE ROC IN TULUM AND WE MISS IT ALREADY! :( I DONT EVEN KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN THIS PLACE IS MAGICAL FROM THE STAFF STARTING WITH OUR FAVORITE AND THE BEST NACHO TO, MARCOS, MICHAEL, MARCELITO AND ALL THE OTHERS. THEY WERE SO ACCOMMODATING AND TRULY MADE US FEEL RIGHT AT HOME. THIS PLACE IS SO CHILL, CLEAN AND A PIECE OF HEAVEN. YOU TRULY FEEL LIKE YOU ARE IN A DIFFERENT WORLD. THE FIRST NIGHT THE HOT WATER IN OUR ROOM WASNT WORKING AND NACHO WAS SUPER ACCOMMODATING HE UPGRADED US TO A BIGGER VILA FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE. ALSO IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY SURPRISE AND NACHO AND THE STAFF DECORATED OUR ROOM WITH BALLONS, FLOWERS, CHAMPAGNE AND A BEAUTIFUL CAKE TOWER. I REALLY FELT SO RELAXED AND COMFORTABLE HERE. THE DECOR AND PLACE IS AMAZING RIGHT ON THE BEACH BUT THE STAFF OH MAN THEY WERE ONE OF A KIND! VERY ATTENTIVE EVEN AT THE BAR THE GUYS WERE GREAT. THANK YOU ROC YOUR STAFF DESERVES THE WORLD THEY ARE TRULY HARD WORKERS. BEST STAY OF MY LIFE, WE STAYED IN SANTORINI LAST YEAR BUT THE ROC TOPS IT ALL. CANT WAIT TO COME BACK. The hotel is nice, but service is terrible, an attitude of the employees is totally unacceptable. We asked to reserve us rental car, and guys at reception openly demanded 50$ for this service! Trying to cheat and somehow make money. It was a feeling that it’s a place where they will make additional money from you any way possible.

Right on the beach and close to all attractions.
Nice rooms with eco decor.
The bach service was great, with music, lounge chairs, umbrella, and food and alcohol service. Carlos served us all of our stay and was fantastic! The restaurant offers you a great free breakfast.
We had the best time! Definitely coming back!!

This was a great place to stay in Tulum. Staying in the Jungle part of the property we had the best of both world- sleeping in the jungle and breakfasting on the beach, with a tuk tuk to transport us between the too when we didn't feel like walking! The day beds on the beach are great and it is a beautiful spot on the beach.

Great location, in the middle of the north and south parts of Tulum the hotel is close to everything you need and want.

Finally the staff are fantastic- from the waiters to the reception staff and management- everyone did that little extra to make the stay here special.

I hope its not too long before I stay here again!

The rooms that we booked were deceptive - while it frames it as a beachfront location, it is not and we had to pay significantly to upgrade to decent rooms. It was frustrating and disappointing.

I recently spent three nights at the hotel and found the location to be super but the actual hotel to be very disappointing. The one big plus is that there is a large sandy beach which is shared by a small number of guests. My small hut must have been one of the originals built decades ago. There were aspects which were charming but the lack of adequate lighting, electrical outlets and a really uncomfortable bed were major downsides. I never asked anything of the staff so I don’t know if they were helpful. I do recall that checking out was very perfunctory, no how was your stay, blah blah blah. I guess they didn’t want to hear another honest answer. The breakfast coupon valid at the restaurant was for a basic no frills crappy breakfast. I made the mistake of asking for a coffee refill only to be informed at the end of the meal that had cost me 50 pesos.
I was left with the impression that Tulum was incredibly overrated and overpriced and this hotel was no exception. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Maybe even some form of tea a nd coffee
On checkin more information places to eat and things to do

we were staying here during peak season and paying a premium rate for a very basic cabana which we were willing to do for proximity to the beach. first of all we were on the “jungle” side of the property across the street. our first cabana started smelling like sewer/ s**t so they moved us to another cabana further away from the beach that night. there was no WiFi or cell phone signal on the jungle side for the first 4 days. we literally had to go to the road to pick up the restaurants WiFi. btw there is no restaurant at the hotel they offer breakfast vouchers to the restaurant across the street we used them once.. much better food at tata next door or amansala beach club. they also only give u 2 small bottles of water at check in so get used to lugging water bottles back yourself, they won’t even sell them to u. A mosquito net or something would be nice considering the amount of insects and humongous tarantulas are running around. Also a giant iguana. at night you can barely see there is no lighting leading you back to your room. the shower eye droppers water on you if ur lucky enough to get hot water at all. also they should invest in “do not disturb” signs. I got woken up by housekeeping walking in at 10am every single day! They would come back to clean in the afternoon but the last day we requested to checkout at 2pm instead of 12noon and they tried to charge me 400 pesos for “late” cleaning even tho they always cleaned our room “late” n no one was checking in after us.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I booked this property for a week over Christmas and was beyond horrified when I arrived. One previous review compared the property to "glamping", but there is nothing glamorous about this place. It's actually worse than actual camping. The cute little grass huts on the resorts expedia page are quite limited. The rest of the property is across the highway in the jungle, it's absolutely terrifying. The majority of the "huts" consist of a bed, a broken safe, 1 lightbulb hanging from the ceiling, no bathroom mirrors, and little to no running water. It is out of this world how horrible it is. The resort also reeks of human feces due to inadequate plumbing, and trash removal. The resort promotes "free breakfast" for every room but in fact there is no breakfast served on the property, nor any other amenities. The beach is equipped with a total of TWO chairs, and the staff is incredibly unhelpful. STAY AWAY.

Do not book this hotel when we arrived we were told we were staying a drive away NOT on the beach. When we asked to see the room we were told we couldn’t as it wasn’t ready. After waiting 4 hours we were told there was no water in the room and had to find another hotel. It’s a complete con do not book.

Charming and cheap luxury right on the beach

We had an amazing stay!! This hotel has the best service, placed in such a good area and the breakfast included is on top!
The beach is so beautiful and the rooms at the hotel are outstanding!

Only thing we missed was the option to rent bikes at the hotel.. There is a place nearby though that offer bike rentals.

The room was beautiful and right on the beach. The worst thing about our stay was that we selected the “pay later” option, and were charged before checking in. They charged a card I didn’t want to use then basically refused to switch the payment to my other card, when asked. I was pretty put off by the fact they wouldn’t do it, not because they couldn’t do it! The guy at the desk just didn’t want to do it.

Overall, I’m not sure we will be coming back. Plenty of other nice hotels on the beach.

It was my first visit to Tulum and I choose this unique hotel without much prior experience except relying on online reviews.
It was a great decision. The electricity and hot shower and water and most importantly the AC was working non -stop in the extreme humid August month — after reading that a lot of hotels in Tulum offer non ACd rooms with some electricity for only limited time.
At this hotel, everything was working properly and I was able to enjoy charging my camera and stuff and staying cool in the extreme hot daytime
I loved how secluded the hotel was and felt like in the nature ( jungle like feel plus direct ocean view and access. The location was not far from some activities and shops (within walking distance). Beautifully designed rooms, amazingly comfortable big bed, soft bed sheet, color,decor, OMG the outdoor hot shower (the water is bit salty, but it is tolerable) under the sky, blue sky and night starts or anytime available! natural and eco feel of the entire place — all were spectacular and serene. And the hotel is right on the white sand beach.

The whole staff was very kind, genuinely friendly, very kind people! I had an important request and room type upgrade, and they all kindly worked hard to make the guest most happy ! I am very grateful to all of them that they put into a very nice room!!!!!!!

Thank you so much! the hotel staff! for their amazing service and their beautiful smiles everyday.

It is a cute hut, but there are some flaws. First, this unit needs a mosquito net. Second, the restaurant advertised was a non functioning restaurant. virtualy no food available. The staff was extra friendly which is a plus, but the hotel itself needs sprucing up. Patch up the thatch roofing so critters do not come in. And since there are open holes on the roof, provide a mosquito net as we had critters and bugs on the bed. No natural light in the bathroom, and the light provided was very dark. For the price, go with a different option.

First off, I want to say that the staff at this property was excellent. My overall rating is based on the property itself. The huts looked beautiful, but there were definitely flaws. I stayed in the hut right next to the lobby, and there was virtually NO NATURAL LIGHT. I could not see anything in the bathroom as it was so dark and dungeon like. This hut was right in the middle were people would walk by, so opening the blinds was out of the questions as you can see everything. So even though the front had natural light if you opened the curtains, you couldn't do it as staff and people could see right through, providing no privacy whatsoever. 2nd, they charged a resort fee when it wasn't really a resort. The restaurant was not open and when they did prepare food for me, only 3 items were available on the entire menu. Why advertise a restaurant if there really is no food. They didn't even have the basic guacamole and chips. My tiny meal was also insanely expensive at almost $70. A lot of hotels charge a 15% gratuity and THEN ANOTHER gratuity on top. It is ridiculous. Going back to the hotel itself, I know this is an eco hotel, but I paid a little extra for the AC and the more boutique feel. There are TONS of eco lodges on the beach for much less. My hut had so many holes in the thatch roofing that I had bugs come inside. I had a bug crawl on me the second night. They need mosquito nets, as I was bitten every night. For the price, I would not come back.

The property sits on a nice location but if you are expecting a hotel or resort stay then this is not for you. We had a rented car so we are glad the property had a few parking spaces.

The shower is outdoors or at least the ocean front cabin was and the bathroom as well. This is more like camping with a/c and your private bathroom, which my husband and I don’t mind at all because we love camping but for the price for ocean front I don’t think it’s worth it.

What really upset us was that they shut off the water pump at 9pm until 8am. So we couldn’t shower, flush the toilet or brush our teeth and had to go to the reception desk for help. They turned it on for us but the second night they did the same thing which I think is unacceptable for a hotel to do this.

Another thing that they should clarify is that there is no WIFI signal in the cabins and hardly any in the reception area either.

Lastly, our bed sheets smelled musty and not clean at all and we had problems with the toilet flushing.

They did provide 2 bottle waters for us on both our days we stayed and clean towels- employees were nice and came right away to fix the toilet.

I hate complaining but honestly for the price we paid I would not stay here again. I hope they read this and put a little more effort into their quality service and property because the location and set up is nice.

Less than a resort but more than glamping, this is a nice place to stay with basic amenities.
Good: nice new fixtures and linen, big comfortable bed, good air con and fan. Lovely garden with birdsong and resident badgers. Friendly and helpful staff, though they did try to double charge us for local taxes that we’d already paid when we booked. Laundry service available. Small fridge in room (new, so not noisy) and two free bottles of water daily.
Less good: nowhere to get breakfast or even coffee on the property, and no facilities to prepare food or coffee in rooms. WiFi works, but signal isn’t great inside rooms. Garden rooms have some road noise. No lockbox in rooms. Water in shower and taps is a bit salty, from an underground cenote. Beach was unfortunately pretty much unswimmable when we stayed due to lots of seaweed, but that’s not the hotel’s fault (the seaweed is seasonal) – swim in cenotes instead.

Tulum is the best ever. And I go every year for past 5 years in a row. Every year the sargassum seaweed gets worse and worse and the smell is absolutely nauseating -the only hotels that take care of it and clean it off the beach are high-end hotels at 4-5 hun a night. Take that into consideration when you think you're getting a deal and you can't sit on the outside on lil porch because the smell is so bad.

Also, the internet didn't work in my room which really messed up my plans with others and made things difficult with my office. The room was advertised as having internet. Also, the first night we were put into a room which is nothing like the picture. They moved us on day 2, but still, we expected what we were promised.

I loved my stay. Attentive staff and amazing facilities. The cabanas are really clean and you get all the privacy you'd like in a beach-front hotel. The beach is quiet. You can't hear anything from your room at night, I slept well. A great deal for a beach front cabana with A/C. It is a rare find in the area.
The only cons I can think of is we had poor, almost non-existant wifi reception in our cabana. Also, this season is really bad for sargasso algae, and there were lots on the beach, but it's not their fault.
