A Hidden Gem!

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a broader trip through Germany as we toured Rugen And Usedom. This is a remote hotel within walking distance to the Baltic Sea in the quaint little small town of Devin. The rooms are a decent size for Germany and they were clean and comfortable. The staff spoke little English but were very accommodating and helpful. The restaurant was one of our favorites in Germany with exceptional schnitzel! it was five stars! Would definitely stay here again.

WARNING: disastrous "hotel" experience! DON'T BOOK

This "hotel" was the worst customer experience we ever had... and we travel a lot. We hope hotels.com will take immediate action to take it off its listings. And we will try to get our payment back.
Quick summary of the nightmare:
1) Upon arrival in the dark and after long drive, we got yelled at by the owner, that the parking lot was not available and we better park elsewhere. Never greeted us or apologized.
2) He tells us that the hotel is full. we should leave. Upon learning we reserved and paid online, he said it's impossible and that if true, hotels.com made a mistake... he still never apologized for anything.
3) Once in the room: the double bed, was two single beds pushed together, with a 5 inch gap in the middle. Impossible to sleep together in.
4) At 1am, we get a call from the owner's wife waking us up. Asking us to speak to them in the morning since hotels.com is unreliable and they might stop working with them.
5) in the morning, we arrive for breakfast at 10:15 (breakfast until 10:30). we get lectured by a server that we're so close to 10:30 and this is not how a guest is supposed to behave. She then sits us in a corner, not in the main dining area where ALL OTHERS sit, as "punishment". And because they already "set up for lunch" and are not going to let us make a table "dirty again"...
We left without breakfast and completely disgusted by the experience. Actually, incredulous might be a better word. The "Kurhaus Devin" is a true disaster

Beautiful setting, friendly staff, comfortable and spacious room. Great breakfast buffet. Free bus ticket, so you don't need to take your car into town.
We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this hotel.

Hyggeligt hotel nær cykelstier og badestrand

Kurhaus Devin ligger superskønt i en lille tæt bøgeskov med fuglefløjt og små 100 m til en dejlig badestrand, dog er det op ad bakke til hotellet. Vi havde booket 2 Comfortværelser med balkon og det var dejligt, dog ingen airkondition, ingen myggenyt for balkondør - kun for vindue. Morgenbuffet inkl var ok, men kunne godt være opgraderet med müsli, havregryn, kold mælk, men godt med frugt og godt brød. Spiste 2 gange til aften i restauranten: Snitzel var rigtig god. 2. gang var med super forret: fiskesuppe og bruchetta, men hovedretten Kurhaus Burger var bestemt ikke saftig og bollen var alt for hårdt ristet, - gedeosten var smeltet næsten væk. Det gjaldt alle 4. Personalet ikke superskarpe på engelsk men imødekommende. Ligger formidabelt i forhold til mulighed for mange cykelture. Røgfrit rum og røgfrit indendøre. God is. Kunne godt finde på at komme igen.

Mit Auto gut erreichbar, schön im Wald gelegen. Ich habe beim Frühstück Bioqualität vermisst. Frühstück bis 10 Uhr etwas knapp, grade im Urlaub will man etwas länger schlafen, dann wäre ein ruhiges Frühstücken bis 11 Uhr angebracht. Die Deviner Fischsuppe schmeckt sehr lecker! Danke!

Mysigt kurhotel.

Väldigt mysigt hotel lite ute i skogen nära havet/stranden precis vid vändplatsen för lokala bussen dessutom. Gratis parkering. Väldigt fräscha och fina rum. Fin frukost och väldigt fin restaurang med fin lokal i grannbyggnaden där även receptionen låg.

Leuk stadje Stralsund. Je krijgt zelfs buskaartjes om vanuit hotel naar centrum te gaan. De zoutgrot is heel ontspannend (in hotel) heel uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. Ruime kamer met groot terras en Practische badkamer.

Gerne wieder ...

Ruhig gelegen inmitten des örtlichen Parks. Schönes Ambiente, saubere Zimmer. Ich habe ruhig geschlafen, auch das Bett war einwandfrei. Das Frühstück frisch. Bis auf den Lachs, den fand ich persönlich etwas arg tranig. Dessen ungeachtet war alles Wichtige vorhanden.

Tolle Ostertage

Nettes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Hatte ein sehr schönes Einzelzimmer. Zur Begrüßung gab es eine Flasche Wasser. Positiv ist das kostenlose Busticket für den Stadtverkehr von Stralsund. Bus hält fast vor Haustür. Zu Fuss am Strelasund entlang sind es bis zur Altstadt ca. 6,5 km. Sauna ist auf Vorbestellung möglich. Restaurant bietet leckere Speisen. Preis/Leistung stimmt. Frühstück könnte etwas abwechslungsreicher sein (jeden Morgen die 3 gleichen Salate, nur Räucherlachs, gleiche Obst), aber das ist nur ein kleines Manko, sonst auch alles da.

Ein ruhiges kleines Hotel mit Wohlfühlcharakter, einer wunderschönen Salzgrotte, die man auch alleine nutzen konnte wenn keine weiteren Urlauber Interesse hatten und einen Wellnessbereich, der allen Anforderungen genügt.
Die Küche ist ausgezeichnet, das Frühstück ebenfalls und auch sehr liebevoll zubereitet.
Aber besonders hervor zu heben ist das Personal, man ist hier wirklich noch Kunde König. Freundlichkeit, Fachkompetenz und immer bereit die Wünsche des Urlaubers zu erfüllen, eben gelebte Gastronomie. Auch wird sich Zeit für den Urlauber genommen und ein Späßchen ist auch mit drin. Wir waren nicht das erste und letzte Mal dort und ich würde es immer weiter empfehlen.

Wir sind sehr freundlich empfangen worden. Die Zimmer sind schön gemütlich eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Das Restaurant ist total gemütlich und die Speisen waren in Ordnung, allerdings fanden wir die Vorspeisen für den Preis sehr klein. Hervorragend war die kostenlose Busanbindung in die Stadt.
Das Frühstück war sehr abwechslungsreich. Wir waren rundum sehr zufrieden

Es ist ein sehr schönes Hotel und eine sehr schöne und ruhige Lage. Man kann sich dort wunderbar erholen und alles abschütteln, die frische Luft tut sehr gut. Also ich würde es jeden weuter empfehlen. Auch das Frühstücksbuffett war sehr gut und ausreichen. 😀😀 😀

Einen prima Kurzurlaub

War alles wunderbar. Sehr gut waren die Mahlzeiten, sehr reichlich und sehr schmackhaft zubereitet. Der Service war sehr gut und zuvorkommend.
Sauberkeit wird groß geschrieben.
Ein Plus ist ist auch die kostenfreie Zusammenarbeit , sprich Freifahrt mit den Stralsunder Verkehrsbetrieben.
Fazit: Hotel und Restaurant sind auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen 👍☺

Entspannung pur

Es hat einfach alles gepasst. Wunderschöne Lage im Wald und doch ist man gleich am Wasser. Großzügig und gut ausgestattetes Zimmer sogar mit Balkon. Gepflegtes großes Bad. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Auch das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Superhotell i Stralsunds utkant

Ett utmärkt rum fick vi i en närliggande byggnad. Väldigt snyggt och inbjudande rum, tv med "alla" kanaler, utsökt badrum och en perfekt säng efter mina preferenser.
Frukosten var utmärkt och till middagen avnjöt vi en väl avvägd laxfile. Mycket gott och fin service.

Ett ställe att rekommendera !

Mycket stora valmöjligheter till frukost och allt fint och fräscht. Mat och dryck i restaurant av toppklass !
Enda problemet var, att vårt rum var på 2:a våning utan hiss. Besvärligt med bagaget.

Abendlicher Tagesausklang in gemütlicher Atmosphäre bei ener hervorragenden Fischmalzeit.

Hübsches Hotel in Strandnähe, sehr schönes und gemütliches Zimmer, Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr lecker, Hotel liegt in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend in der man gut entspannen kann, kostenloses Ticket für den öffentlichen Nahverkehr für jede Person macht einen unabhängig vom Auto...kurz gesagt, rundum hat alles super gepasst und ist empfehlenswert
