Overnight Stop on a Bike Tour

Incredibly nice hotel for a good price. Able to book last minute and the staff was lovely when I arrived near midnight. The bicycle storage in the basement is one of the nicest features I’ve ever seen. Breakfast was excellent and the room was comfy and clean. Hope to visit Wismar again soon and will definitely book here when I do

Practical decent hotel next to city centre

The hotel is conviently located next to the old part of town and the harbour area. It appears to cater for a lot of business customers and the over all impression is medium state on all accounts! Nothing specific to emphasise, either good or bad. The noise from the road can be a bit disturbing so try to get a room facing the other way. The hotel parking is on offer for 15 € per night but when we visited plenty of free parking in the surrounding streets.

State of the art for 1970s! Huge stain on the carpet, curtains did not keep out bright early morning sunshine (6:00), early morning noise from the dock and local neighbourhood (I hope the man found his dog, he spent a long time calling for it at 06:00!). The coffee maschine leaked, everytime we made coffee we had to clean up, the minibar fridge was locked by the hotel for environmental reasons, pity as we usually keep milk there. Don't be fooled by its stylish appearance, all the other guests seemed to be with coach parties. Basically massively overpriced for such a poor hotel, at half the price & 2* it would have been OK as clean.

Rooms are much better than lobby

The hotel is in a great area, close to old town. We had great view of the bridge to Rugen, check in staff could not be any nicer. The lobby and hallways do not make a great first impression. The décor is outdated, the room furniture is outdated too. The lobby entry could use a deep cleaning, especially the entry doors. However the rooms were spotless. The bathrooms are updated - even if very simple, they are newly tiled and looks very nice. I have not been to other hotels in the Stralsund/Rugen area - so for all I know this is the standard and is great.

Wonderful Hotel and Great Staff!

We rented a two bedroom suite which had plenty of room and three comfortable beds and a large jack-and-jill type bathroom. The rooms were clean and exactly as described and it was wonderfully situated just outside of old town. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and pleasant as was everyone in town.

Nice hotel, close to many activities

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Baltic. It is a nice, clean hotel and is close to the Ozeaneum, restaurants and bars. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The only odd thing is that there are only hanging blinds between the two rooms, not allowing for much privacy. Overall though, a very nice place to stay.

We were put in a family room, 2 adults and two children. Room was very nice but had no ventilation at all. Window from the 3rd floor could be opened towards a street with a lot of traffic. It is hard to understand that a hotel says 4 stars, but has no ventilation in the room. We were given two rooms at the 6th floor towards the back street and that was OK. It has been a huge problems with ventilation during our holiday. Summer and no ventilation, streets with lots of traffic, can have a very bad influence on your holiday. The hotel is okay, but we do not recommend the family rooms. They are nice, but without ventilation towards a busy street. This is not good enough.

Nice modern hotel with pleasant, comfortable rooms and within easy reach of the old town. Minor drawbacks were: (i) building work nearby which started early (and had a materials delivery at about 04.00 hrs!), not that the hotel could be blamed for that; and (ii) no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, which could be rectified easily.

Tolle Zimmergröße. Ausreichend Platz. Ausstattung z.T. nicht mehr in Ordnung.
Die Schlafcouch für die Kinder war schon sehr runter. Für ältere Kinder würde ich es nicht mehr buchen. Selbst mein 8 jähriges Kind hat die Federn/Lattung gemerkt.
Der Teppich ist sehr dreckig und abgelebt. Es gibt keinen Wasserkocher oder kleinen Kaffeekocher. Wir waren im Winter dort bei -8°C. Die Heizkörper haben es nichr geschafft, das Zimmer hochzuheizen. Auf Nachfragen bekamen wir 2 weiter Winterzudecken (vorher: 2 dünne Decken für die Kinder - ärgerlich).
Das sehr gute Frühstück hat 5/5 Stern verdient. Es war alles da und es war reichhaltig.

Das renovierungsbedürftige Hotel sollte mal aufgehübscht werden. Denn insgesamt ist die Lage hervorragend!

Für einen Kurzurlaub gut gelegen. Altstadt und Hafen fussläufig in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen, für Ausflüge in die Umgebung ist man schnell aus der Stadt raus.
Hotelinventar und Teppichboden etwas abgenutzt (wie in mehreren Bewertungen kritisiert), war aber alles sauber! Wenn ich einen Kurzurlaub mache, halte ich mich eigentlich nur zum Schlafen im Hotel auf, deshalb stören mich o.g. Mängel nicht. Personal super freundlich.

Wir sind sehr oft in Stralsund. Dieses Hotel haben wir zum ersten und leider auch zum letztem Mal besucht.
Positiv ist definitiv die Lage und die Nähe zur Innenstadt zu bewerten. Das Personal verdient weitere 2 Sterne: alle sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Negativ bewerte ich die Zimmerausstattung sowie die Sauberkeit der Zimmer. In Stralsund sind viele Hotels noch mit dem alten Teppichboden ausgestattet, dies erzeugt einen unerträglichen Geruch, was Aufenthalt in dem Zimmer auf Minimum reduziert. Das Zimmer war gut aufgeteilt, leider statt einer Wand und Zimmertrennung gab es nur Provisorium, die Geräuschkulisse zwischen den \"Zimmerräumen\" lässt denken, dass alle an einem Tisch sitzen..
Neutral ist die Parkmöglichkeit zu bewerten: man findet auch einen kostenlosen Parkplatz, sonst zahlt man auf der Straße einen Tagesgebühr von 6€ oder für einen Platz in der Tiefgarage 17 €.

Fazit: nach einer Renovierung könnte das Hotel wieder interessant werden. In dem aktuellen Zustand werden wir das Hotel nicht mehr besuchen.

Dejligt hotel med god morgenmadsbuffet. Der var god stemning i lobbyen hvor man skulle opholde sig for at få optimal internetdækning. Dårlig dækning på værelserne. Rengøring efter behov og anmodning hvilket var et godt tiltag. Manglede du en elkedel kunne den hentes i receptionen. God service og fin placering i forhold til ture i området - og med gåafstand til bymidte og havn.

Das Haus ist gut genutzt worden, aber sehr sauber und ordentlich. Wir haben im sehr geräumigen Familienzimmer sehr gut geschlafen. Die Angestellten waren sehr professionell und zuvorkommend. So will man im Hotel behandelt werden! Der Preis spiegelte die Abnutzung des Hauses wieder und somit würden wir das Haus für einen Aufenthalt in Stralsund immer empfehlen.

Unklimatisierte Zimmer sind nicht zeitgemäß

Bei höherer Tagestemperatur half der kleine Tischventilator zur Abkühlung des Raums nur wenig bis überhaupt nicht.
Die Fenster lassen sich zwar auch in der 7.Etage weit öffnen aber an Abkühlung ist nicht zu denken. An Schlafen mit geöffnetem Fenster aber auch nicht, da der Verkehrslärm vor dem Haus nicht endet. Ansonsten sind die Zimmer sauber und das Frühstück ordentlich.

All good so far, the view on the 7th floor was super nice. One thing I will say that needs to be changed urgently. The beds that you stand as a 3rd and 4th person in a room, so the extendable sofas are really uncomfortable. They should not be placed anywhere and certainly not in a hotel. You sleep better on an inflated camping mattress. I say this not to hurt anyone but so that no one is hurt ;-). I'm really not a raisin picking person, but it must be changed otherwise we as a family would no longer check in only for this reason.

Man erwartet sicherlich keine 5 Sterne, und nimmt daher wohlwollend in Kauf, dass z.B. Teppiche abgenutzt und fleckig wirken.

Aber man erwartet, dass die vorhandenen Einrichtungen im angemessenen Zustand sind - was jedoch nicht der Fall war. Es gibt viele unschöne Nachlässigkeiten, angefangen von widersprüchlichen Zeitangaben für das Frühstück, über lockere und abstürzende Handtuchstangen oder abgenutzte Haartrockner, bis hin zu völlig undichten Duschen, deren Wasser sich entlang der Badezimmerwände ergießt.

Das beworbene W-LAN war nur mit Unterbrechungen und stark eingeschränkt nutzbar, jedoch zeigte man sich einsichtig und kulant, was für den stets freundlichen Service vor Ort spricht.

Ved ankomst til hotellet var der ingen reservation. Om det skyldtes fejl fra Hotels.com eller hotellet ved jeg ikke, men heldigvis var der ledige værelser, så problemet blev løst.
Safeboksen virkede ikke, og det var der tilsyneladende ingen løsning på. Morgenmaden var pæn og personalet venligt.
Værelset var ok, men det havde været rart med både mulighed for at lave en kop kaffe/te og et lille køleskab til lidt kolde drikkevarer.
Overordnet var vi tilfredse, da hotellet har en god beliggenhed og mulighed for parkering i parkeringskælder.

Das Zimmer ist renovierungsbedürftig. Bauschaum unter der Fensterbank zu sehen. Der Wasserhahn in der Dusche ist total verkalkt. Wassertemperatur konnte man nicht richtig einstellen ohne komplett aus zu machen.
Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Hätten nach dem Essen gerne noch was getrunken aber es kam lange keiner. Sonst war das Personal sehr freundlich. Zum Frühstück. Hätte ich vorher gewusst das ich schon um 7 Uhr Frühstück essen muss, hätte ich hier nicht übernachtet.

Für mich als Dienstreisende war das Hotel vollkommen ausreichend, da ich nur eine Übernachtung gebucht hatte. Für einen Kurzurlaub über das Wochenende würde ich es ggf. auch nutzen.

Die Ausstattung des Zimmers ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber alles war sauber. Das Badezimmer fand ich persönlich schön geräumig und modern.

Mein Zimmer war an der Straße gelegen, wodurch man die Autos natürlich gehört hat. Während der Nacht war es trotzdem recht ruhig. Wahrgenommen hat man die Straßengeräusche vor allem am Abend und frühen Morgen.

Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend - besonders beim Frühstück.

Die Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet fand ich für einen Morgen wirklich ausreichend. Die Zusammenstellung an Wurst, Käse, Aufstrichen, Müsli usw. habe ich als vielfältig empfunden.

Man muss tatsächlich nicht unbedingt den Parkplatz im/am Hotel nutzen, wenn man das nicht möchte. Sofern man bereit ist, wenige hundert Meter zu laufen, kann man sein Auto auch in der Nähe abstellen.

Der Preis ist viel zu hoch für ein vollkommen in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel. Absolut renovierungsbedürftig, Sauberkeit der Zimmer lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Frühstück unterer Durchschnitt. Tiefgarage kostet auch noch extra und das nicht wenig. Alles in allem sehr enttäuschend.

Von außen modernes Hotel. Zimmer geräumig, aber alt und spartanisch eingerichtet. Fleckiger Teppich im Zimmer. Lift konnte die Kapazität des Hotels am Morgen kaum bewältigen.
Personal generell freundlich, abgesehen von der Rezeptionistin bei der Anreise (Unangebrachte Kommentare an Kunden weil Zimmer online gebucht wurden beim Check-in).
Frühstücksbüffet war ok.
Die Lage in Zentrumsnähe war gut. Zentrum zu Fuß einfach erreichbar.

Von weitem leuchtet der Schriftzug durch die Stralsunder Nacht. Am Tag fällt das Hotel durch den kleinen Leuchtturm auf. Durch die Fenster hört man im Zimmer die Straße nicht mehr.
Preis-Leistung stimmt auf jeden Fall! Vielen Dank für den Luxus im Ostsee-Urlaub!!!
