This hotel is beautiful and wonderfully updated and maintained. The morning breakfast is divine and the staff is over and above kind and attentive. The location is great, but you do need to have porters bring your luggage from wherever you get dropped off because the passage ways in Positano are crowded. We LOVED our stay here!

Nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Location is wonderful and easy to get to from the ferry. Views were breathtaking. Staff was amazing and helpful. Restaurants on site were delicious and the free breakfast was beyond top notch. Highly recommend this hotel!!!

Excellent service the moment you walk in, courteous and attentive to every need that you might have. Clean room, and quiet at night. Breakfast is just amazing and the staff is so helpful... while sitting at my table, I didn't have to get up for little things.
My room was facing the amazing Positano beach, and it did not disappoint at all. Keep in mind that you would hear the noise of the beach, but once you close the doors is just fine.

FABULOUS hotel and wonderful staff! Can’t wait to bring more friends to experience this beautiful property! For elderly people with walking issues, this would be difficult for them! Without a car you need to walk 20 minutes to catch a bus which was very cheap to go to Amalfi town, Ravella, Positano and other cities around 30 minutes to 1hour…. car from Naples airport to this hotel was $200 euro. I would not attempt driving here as the roads are very narrow and motorbikes constantly whizzing around you! It takes an expert to safety drive around this area! Catching a ferry from Positano was $30 pp but worth experiencing! Breakfast was included each morning and the people working here were fabulous! The views on top of the hotel were gorgeous! This property is very small with only 13 rooms so you receive personal attention! We loved it!

They made sure we had everything we needed and were there to help with anything, luggage, recommendations, directions, it was great! They had a very wide selection for breakfast and had a bar and restaurant attached to the hotel that made our first night super easy! Overall a great stay!

Absolutely our favorite hotel we stayed at in our trip to Italy. The staff was amazing fron the start (the automatic door they open from behind the desk when you are coming up the stairs with your luggage was a nice surprise)
The hotel is VERY clean and whatever they use to mop all the tile smells amazing! Breakfast was amazing every morning. Everything wash fresh, prepared with care, and the Staff at breakfast were so helpful and kind. We also had dinner (for 11 people) in the restaurant when we arrived and the server and staff were great. The swrver for our table offered a family style sharing of multiple courses and dishes. All was amazing.

We spent a full week in Room 58, located on the top floor at the end of the building—offering breathtaking views of the mountains, beach, and port.

We flew into Naples from the U.S. and hired a private driver to bring us to the hotel. Note that cars cannot access the property directly, so we rolled our luggage a short distance down charming cobblestone streets—unexpected, but part of the Positano experience!

Arriving early in the morning, we were greeted with a gorgeous breakfast overlooking the beach, and the kind staff even had our room ready by 1 p.m., well before standard check-in. The breakfast buffet each morning on the patio became one of our favorite parts of the stay.

The location could not be better—steps from the beach, ferry dock, boutique shopping, and endless people-watching. A perfect spot to experience the magic of Positano!

The staff at front desk especially Mario was excellent and the staff at breakfast like Roberto, Catello, Amadou and Marina were very attentive to our needs.

The only annoying thing is that my daughter found a pubic hair weaved into the threads of one of the face towels which had just been put in the bathroom by the cleaners. I took this up with the Manager but he was not very helpful. He said certain things he should not have said and I think he thought I planted the pubic hair there and was trying to get some money off!

When I first arrived at this property I was worried about my luggage being transported to the location without me being with it, but then I realized how safe we really were. Positano lives off the tourism, our driver, along with the property manager, assured me they arrive fine, and they sure did. We were accommodated in a gorgeous Suite overlooking the Spiaggia Grande. It couldn't have been more beautiful and romantic.

The hotel was simply beautiful! The location is perfect with easy access down to the sand, the restaurant was delicious for breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed drinks out on the terrace bar to watch the sunset. The service was impeccable from check in to check out. We hope to visit again one day! Perfectly located beautiful hotel in one of the most picturesque places I’ve ever stayed. We had a junior suite for family of four and it was perfect for us, good size with the most amazing view overlooking the beach and also the cliffs around us. Breakfast was lovely, sat on a terrace above the beach overlooking everything, the most perfect setting. All staff are super friendly I can’t recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely be back at some time.

We have been to Positano a few times and every time we have stayed at Buca Di Bacco. The rooms have been recently refurbished and are lovely. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Everything is clean. The hotel staff is always welcoming and kind, ready to help with anything. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the bay is a highlight. And the Buca Di Bacco restaurant has delicious food - we are in love with the pasta with lemon sauce! All the waiters were fun and hospitable. The close proximity to the beach is another highlight. We loved that we didn’t have to climb the steep streets to get back to our hotel after our days out on the beach, and on boat excursions.
A lovely place to spend a few summer days.

I’m extremely disappointed with the service provided, particularly by Maria and Mario, who were responsible for arranging our transportation. Despite forwarding the exact email they originally sent me, they claimed I entered the wrong address—which was simply not possible. I made it clear that I was traveling with three children, including one with special needs, and requested transportation well in advance. Yet when we arrived, stranded at the airport, there was no support or effort made to resolve the situation.

We had booked three rooms, all of which were heavily infested with ants—completely unacceptable. Beyond handing over keys, there was little to no hospitality or assistance throughout our stay.

If you’re only looking for a place to sleep and expect nothing more, this location may suffice. But if you value service, reliability, or basic cleanliness, I would look elsewhere.

This is a rare gem located in the heart of Positano. This is one of the most beautiful views I have seen in the world, right outside of our hotel room terrace. The room comes with free breakfast, where you will be greeted by wonderful service. Each morning, Martina, Giovanni, and Giuseppe took wonderful care of us, just like we were family. They were fantastic! It is hard to find such good service as we did each morning at breakfast, and at the hotel restaurant. The restaurant staff were anlso welcoming anbd incredible. I highly recommend eating in Hotel Buca di Bacco restaurant. It was the most authentic and best food by far in Positano. The reception staff was also wonderful, and willing to help with what you need. You will not be able to check in until 3pm as this is a busy hotel. They will call a porter and taxi when you need one. The hotel is very clean, and the cleaning staff was amazing. There were days they came in and cleaned the hotel room twice. Thank you for a fantastic stay here. I would definitely book this hotel again when I come back to Positano. It was a fantastic experience.

Most amazing hotel and views from our balcony! Positano is stunning and we could not have picked a more magnificent spot. Getting off the ferry (which is absolutely the easiest way to arrive) we had a short walk over a small walking bridge and no stairs to the hotel. (Do not use google maps - local porter showed us the way at no charge) The bellman met us at the bottom of the town stairs and took our luggage (after I went to the front desk so they could send him). A game changer! The staff for breakfast and dinner and front desk were so wonderful and gracious. Our room was so gorgeous #43 ~ we can’t say enough. We will recommend this hotel to all our friends planning a visit to the Amalfi coast.

The hotel is conveniently located right on the beach, close to the ferry, beach, restaurants. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. The morning buffet is amazing and the staff was so friendly. It was a great start to the day. The room was very comfortable and the view is amazing. Your every need is taken addressed with care and pride. Would definitely stay here again!

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and at home. Their warmth and hospitality set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The location couldn’t be better — just steps from the ferry, making it incredibly convenient to get to and from.

We visited seven different places during our trip through Italy, and without a doubt, this was our favorite hotel. Everything about it was exceptional. The breakfast each morning was a highlight — made with fresh, local ingredients and served with care.

I highly recommend staying here when visiting Positano.

Amazing place within steps of the beach. Great location. Fabulous breakfasts each morning overlooking the sea. The staff was amazing. Recommend you hire a porter in advance to get your bags to and from the hotel. There are a lot of steps and it's a long way to a \"main\" roadway.

The hotel location is so convenient. It’s right by the main beach and the marina that access to the ferry is a breeze. It’s right next two Chez Black and La Pergola and the church. The staff were so friendly and genuinely helpful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend anyone staying in Positano to consider it.

Old world meets true hospitality. To start this property is conviently located if you are arriving by ferry. When most people booked hotels at the top of the mountain, we had a short walk up a few steps and it took us straight to the check in desk. Upon arrival you are greeted with the biggest smiles and most colorful front desk team. The hotel is family owned and operated which creates such a personal touch. The team there helped arrange transportation back to naples airport which was so helpful. We were guided to our room and which probably looks the same as it did when this hotel first opened. But the views overlooking positano were all worth it! At first when i booked the hotel i didnt think wed have the best view since the hotel is lower than the others, but we were 5 stories up from the beach which made it a perfect view, in fact the best view I've ever had in a hotel room. Location was great, walkable to the shops and restaurants, really cant be beat. We were truly happy with our stay here and would choose to come back the next time we are in positano.

I loved this property! Its in the best location! Everything you need is in walking distance, shops, restaurants, bars, beach, ferry and more. I would definitely visit this property again. The only thing I would suggest is that they get a thicker mattress for the beds other than that its a great place.

My room had an amazing view of the sea and directly on the beach, which was phenomenal The food here is absolutely fantastic as well. Excellent Hotel with 5 star service!

We absolutely loved our stay at Buca Di Bacco! Very easy access to everywhere in Positano. Very close to the main beach and ferry’s so not much walking and no climbing a lot of stairs! The service was amazing and all staff were very friendly and welcoming. They all spoke great English, which was a plus for my wife and I. They made our stay very pleasant. The continental breakfast was so delicious and Castello was such a nice man and very generous. Our room was very clean and every time we returned back to our room after a long day, the staff had came inside and cleaned up and made our bed. I would 100% stay at Buca Di Bacco again. I can’t wait for our next visit!

Great staff and breakfast BUT the location is in an ally, all the streets leading up to it were packed dirty with trash on the streets, it smelt bad. I did not feel safe and it felt so dirty. The AC did not work, room smelt musky and we had the most uncomfortable sleep. Sorry but I would not recommend the hotel or the area.

This hotel is great as it is right on the beach. The restaurant in excellent and the service is very good. The rooms are average, but nice. Our room was positioned on the alleyway leading to the beach and was VERY noisy. Noisy all night long, did not quiet down until 5am or so. Not great for light sleepers.
