Room was spacious and clean, big comfy bed, Tv was huge. The food in the evening was amazing and the breakfast was good too.
Only gripe was that there is no actual bar area seating if you are just having a drink and all the tables were full with diners. There is outside area but the weather wasn't great so we had to take our drinks to our room.

Very helpful staff. Not too much noise from the bar and restaurant. My room overlooked an outside seating area which wasn't occupied due to the chilly weather, so it might have been a different story if folk had sat out there noise wise.
Bed was really comfortable. Bathrm smelt damp. Key to rm door was hard to almost impossible to lock and mentioned this on leaving. Despite that would stay again.

We had a most enjoyable weekend at The Plough. No problem parking our Campervan in the large carpark. We are there and the food was delicious. The beer garden is a sun-trap and we spent hours sitting in the sun chatting. It is ob a fairly busy road, but we couldn’t hear anything from our room. Overall we were treated well and the staff were most accommodating. Lovely place to stay.

We had a great few days staying at The Plough Inn. Very pleased with our room which had a really comfortable bed and great power shower, both of which are, in our opinion, essential to a relaxing stay. The Plough is only 12 miles from Cromer and norfolk coast which makes it a great base to explore the lovely coastline and norfolk broads. We did have lunch twice in the restaurant and dinner one evening. There is a really wide variety of options on the menu but be prepared, the portions are very generous and neither of us managed to finish our meal even though it was very tasty. Last but not least the staff were lovely. They made us feel so welcome and couldnt have been more helpful. A big 10 out of 10 from us.

Great two day stay

Excellent comfy room with a few minor drawbacks, it was over the main restaurant area so was noisy early on, the water pressure on both hot and cold was poor but the shower was excellent and no toilet roll holder. The staff in general were very good and Jenny was excellent. The food in the restaurant was pricey but if superb quality, especially the home made pie.The draught beer was excellent and the wines very drinkable. The room cleaner left a bit to be desired, not a thorough job by any means., only straightened the bed linen and left the towels.

The Plough is a good class pub with clean, modern rooms. What makes them special is that it's such a friendly place to stay and the pub food is excellent. We were there for five days and I could have done with a few more to work my way through the menu. We'll also certainly miss their breakfasts.
It is situated well for visiting Norwich and the Norfolk Coast.
It's true that you can hear the busy road with the window open, but hey, life's a compromise and we'll happily take that.

Ok, but better value elsewhere. Disappointing.

Disorganised from start to finish - check in was not smooth, breakfast served from 8am (too late when aimed at work stays), room had hairs in the shower and bed, and room was very dusty. Biscuits in room - lovely touch, apart from my packet was open with a bite out of it!
Hotel has potential but needs money spending on communal areas and better attention to detail. The photos of outside are virtually catfishing! Rubbish and rotting picnic tables outside. Bit grim.

Room was spacious. Bathroom was a bit 'unique' in design but had hairs in the sink and shower and windows were very dirty. Lots of free parking. Insufficient coat hangers. Was told breakfast was from 7am - but then later told 8am which was too late. Disappointing and probably wouldn't stay again.

This is actually one of the better places I have stayed in a long time! The room was modern and VERY well equipped! Even down to the last detail! GREAT shower which was nicely powerful. Yes when you travel often it is the small things that matter! The food was excellent both for dinner and breakfast. I would definitely book here again!
Can I also say that the staff an absolute assett to this place! They were ALL refreshingly polite, helpful and quick at serving considering it was busy for dinner.

Great Inn with a lovely friendly welcoming feel. Staff are attentive but in a relaxed way. Food was superb and it’s obviously a very popular place for families and couples alike. We stayed for 3 nights and would have given 5 stars but the pillows were really thin and hard. There is also a really irritating sensor light in the bathroom. If you need to visit the bathroom in the night you’re completely woken up by the bright light which also floods the bedroom in light.

Check if kitchen open the evening you stay . We found out few hours before check in that kitchen closed so we had to drive to Aylsham to eat . We had wanted to eat at plough as both could then drink as no driving needed . The manager did give us some money towards our meal which was an appreciated gesture
However further disappointment when we returned from our meal the pub was closed - about 8pm . We had planned a drink in the bar when back and had not been advised this was going to be closed
Understand off season and mid week if not busy not worth being open but do tell the customers you do have so they are not disappointed

This is a great place to stay! Plenty of parking, great food, comfortable room with really excellent en-suite facilities. The service was generally good, though on a couple of occasions things seemed a bit hit-and-miss in the restaurant. However, when delays did happen we always received an explanation and apology. Flowerbeds outside need attention and rather let the place down appearance-wise, we thought. The stairs are a bit steep for oldies, though in fact we did manage OK. Sometimes a bit noisy in our room, but not when it actually mattered - we always slept well on comfy and well made-up beds.
