This was a wonderful surprise. Location was a little outside the central hub but 10 min walk isn't far. The room was amazing, clean and fresh. Gives a boutique vibe. The minibar is free and the room service was super affordable. The pool was lovely great views for sunset. Absolutely loved my stay here

This was a very clean hotel with incredibly attentive staff. Kudos for wearing sweaters for the holiday season!

The room was taken care of meticulously and we looked forward to coming back from a hot day's exploring. The welcome fruit and free minibar was a nice surprise.


The location was great. It was 3mins to the Sri Weld Food Court where we had several great meals and close to dozens of local restaurants. And being close to the shore meant getting to the Jetties and the local art tour was super easy.


All in all, a great trip made much easier with a fantastic hotel.

Calm, friendly, and helpful staff, a beautifully designed and maintained room, with an exceptionally comfortable bed, and a great shower. If we were being exceptionally critical, the pool area could do with a little refresh, thanks to missing tiles, etc, but this was only really noticeable because of the exceptionally high standards throughout the rest of the hotel. The Prestige is a real oasis of calm, in busy George Town!

All the staff were friendly and always putting up a smile. The security always assisted in opening the doors, even car doors! They have upgraded my stay and I was glad as it was a birthday trip for me. The room was clean and spotless, love everything about it. When I had grabfood delivered, receptionist even called to inform. Had a wonderful and great stay, most definitely will come again.

P.S: I had left my neck pillow in the room, but i was already in the airport when i realised it. When i contacted the hotel via Expedia, their response was fast, and managed to arrange for it to be delivered it back home. Another thumbs up!

Not 5 star, great location

While our stay was comfortable, this hotel is not a 5 star hotel. The staff seem friendly but don’t really speak English so communication is difficult. While everything is clean, the finishes are worn and need a renovation.
That being said the location is excellent for George Town

Our 3D2N stay at the Prestige Hotel was marvellous. The hotel is situated at the terminal ferry jetty, well located in George Town, away from the traffic hustling and bustling. Hospitality by the service crew was perfect as they were polite and professional. The hotel amenities were spectacular, well maintained and clean. A special shout out to the 3M filtered water tap which dispensed endless amount of clean, cool filtered water for us to beat the sweltering heat in Penang. Not forgetting the complimentary drinks in the bar and refrigerator too. Do head out to the swimming pool / deck for the amazing sunset too!

I would come back just for the staff! Everyone was so welcoming from the moment we arrived! Even tho we arrived hours early for check in they had our room ready and welcomed us in. The room was clean full of complementary drinks and snacks. Being our honey moon they set up a lovely decoration and brownie for us to enjoy l. The pool was great with an amazing pool view and clean. Not to mention the great location to walk and see many of the local street art and enjoy delicious food.10/10 would come back again!

Absolutely beautiful hotel we were staying at Shangri-La in Batu Feringgi beach and felt it was pretty lack lustre in comparison to other Shangri LA’s so we came to George Town for the night. This hotel from the staff to the beautiful design is top notch it’s probably one of the most beautiful designed hotels I’ve been to and the staff go out of their way. It’s walking distance from most things. We are sad to leave today wishing we are staying here for the rest of the holiday

This hotel is in the middle of Georgetown and you can walk to the most of attractions. It is 10 minutes walk to the port. The building is in a great condition. Rooms are clean and spacious. They have 3M drinking water filtration in rooms. Lots of Michelin star restaurants in the area.

It's quite an open concept with a small lobby
Toilet in the West Wing was choked (probably due to public access)
There were no clear instructions on pool access and we had to come down to the lobby to access to the West Wing
No evening turn-down service

Friendly staff, we were greeted with smiles though out our stay. The hotel is relatively new, so in good shape. Unfortunately our room was right next to the service elevator and cleaning equipment storage, sound proofing wasn’t up to par, and the noise traveled.

One of the nicest hotel

This was one of the nicest hotel I have ever been to and I have travelled quite a lot. The service was absolutely amazing form the moment we stepped out of the taxi until we left. The room was big, the beds were comfortable and the pillows as well, the food at the restaurant was good whether it was the breakfast buffet or lunch à la carte (not much local food though). The rooftop pool was very nice with a great view. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful hotel with very friendly and very helpful staff. Cafe place in-house is good and conveniently located right across from the elevators.They also have a restaurant, a wellness center, a small gym with just a few basic weights and machines, some kind of deli store and even a flowe store. The infinity pool on the rooftop is small but nice, the view onto the seaport is a bit of a downer but that's really the only complaint I would have. Otherwise it's a very nice hotel also conveniently located 5 walking mins away from the ferry.

Beauty and comfort in the heart of George Town.

This hitel was simply superb. Strategically lcated in the eart of the historic and UNESCO-protected George Town, and justva stone's throw from Little India, Chinatown, and the port the hotel offers very good comfort. The facilties are clean and the staff extremely helpful and professional. The decor is modern and tasteful and a good night sleep os almost gurabteed. We will definitelt return here on our next trip to Penang.
