The staff were lovely. They did their best to be accomodating, were friendly and is the main reason the property gets an overall \"3\" rating, rather than 1. I stayed there 2 years ago, and returned because I previously had a good experience. This time, there were a number of problems, due, I believe, to less experience or concern about standards by new management/ownership. We had to argue about getting more than one key card since my hotel roommate and I had different schedules. The elevator/lift was out for over a week, and we had to walk up 52 steps every day for that period. This was not necessarily management's fault, but every single day we were told it would be fixed. The room had a broken drawer, was missing most of the hangers, and other issues we had to point out to staff. We had just 2 towels for the 2 of us - not even a hand towel to use. Again, another issue we pointed out, and then staff graciously provided us with extra towels. Overall the room looked rundown, as did the hotel. We won't be booking it again.

It was a lovely enough little hotel. Close to the transport links and restaurants. I had a tiny room but was perfect for just a nights rest after an event and an early departure next day. I was on the 3rd floor, and the lift was not working, but they were working on it so sure it will be fixed soon. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had nothing to moan about really. I would stay again :D

We had originally booked this hotel for two nights, but unfortunately our experience was so poor that we left after the first night and paid to stay elsewhere.
The room was inadequate from the moment we arrived. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and difficult to sleep on, constantly feeling as though we were falling into the middle. The small bathroom was also far from clean, with hair visible in the bathroom and dirt around the toilet upon entering the room.
The most concerning issue arose after our first night when both my husband and I began noticing itchy bites appearing all over our skin. This immediately raised concerns about the cleanliness and condition of the room. Without hesitation, we decided to relocate and book another hotel for the remainder of our stay.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and certainly not what we expected. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise others not to waste their money staying here.

It was ok and the location was perfect for us. However, there was no breakfast because of renovations and I felts for fellow travellers on high level floors because the elevator was out. Also, the subfloor of bathroom in our room needed work - there was an area I tried to avoid standing on which was right in front of the sink. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well stocked with coffees and teas. Location near transportation and shops.

BEWARE!

Couldn't even stay at the location for more than a few hours. Tried to get a refund as the room was not as advertised. Breakfast room was under active construction, loud noises and dust when entering the establishment. The lift was broken and we were made to lug our heavy suitcases up endless staircases. The staff was not helpful nor was the \"manager\" in nor responsive to email regarding the situation. Our room was soaked with rain water as the window was left wide open. Upon checking the room we felt that we'd have to eat the money we spent and find a cleaner and more suitable place to stay.

Ali who worked the front would not give us any more info on the managers name other than first name. Not even a first initial. No business card nor direct email.

Please don't make the same mistake I did with giving this establishment a chance.

Comfortable Bed:The bed was comfortable and featured a brand-new mattress.

Amenities:There was a fan provided in the room, along with extra pillows in the wardrobe.

Great Tea/Coffee Station: There were plenty of supplies to make multiple cups of coffee or tea.

Bathroom Updates:A new shower frame was recently installed, and effort was made to match the new tiles with the rest of the bathroom.

Cons

Outdated Room: The room felt old and outdated, complete with creaky floorboards.

Cleanliness Issues:The room and bathroom needed a much deeper clean. There were stains on one duvet cover, one towel, and the bottom of the shower, as well as visible smudges on the faucet and the desk kettle area.

Wear and Tear: The paint was peeling from the inside of the sink, and the new bathroom tiling appeared to have been rushed.

Window Defect:The window was old with a stained frame and had a broken security lock, meaning it couldn't be properly secured.

Overall Summary

Best part is access to the Earl's Court station and lot of shops nearby.

Generally the room is was what you would expect of older, little worn family house.
Not really worth the premium price unless it's your only option.

While there were nice touches like a comfortable new mattress, a well-stocked tea/coffee station, and recent shower upgrades, the room overall felt outdated. Improved cleanliness and repairs to the broken window lock are definitely needed.

The Good
Nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood bordered by a park. It's close to Earl's Court underground station so getting around wider London is super easy. Services like pubs, restaurants, cafes, pharmacy, food stores are a few blocks away so also convenient.
The room was spacious, beds comfortable, easy to fall asleep because it was very quiet at night.

The Caveats
There is an elevator on the property, but unfortunately it was out of order during our stay. However, we travel light (backpacks) so it wasn't an issue for us. Climbing stairs can be a challenge so bear that in mind if you like bring a lot of luggage!
The shower curtain didn't quite cover enough so water tended to pool up out of the shower. Not a big deal, just something to be mindful of.

Rooms were small but clean (most are small in London but you don’t spend much h time in them so no biggie) hallways look a little tired and in need of some renovations. Unfortunately the lift was out of order, luckily for us we were on the first floor so only had one set of stairs to drag the suitcases up. The breakfast room was also closed but nice coffee shops and breakfast places are within a few minutes walk. Property is close to Earls Court station which is great for both central London and Heathrow airport. Overall decent value for money and the room had a lovely view of the little square outside. I would choose this location again

Very friendly and helpful staff, who let us check in early as our room was ready. Small room as expected in London, but very comfortable bed, lovely, peaceful view over the park, quiet at night, and powerful, hot shower. Best of all, the window opened wide and there was a huge fan provided, so we slept well through the heatwave. We will definitely stay here next time we're in London. Highly recommend.

I've seen this place get some bad reviews. I'd say for value for money in the area that it's in it does the job.
If you just want a safe comfy bed and bathroom facilities with welcoming friendly staff on reception then this place is fine.
You aren't surrounded by luxury but you should be expecting that for what you pay.
We would book again without hesitation when in London as our intention is always to spend more time out of the hotel than in it.

So, despite the terrible reviews on google maps (about the bed bugs and such) i found the bed and the bathroom to be pretty clean. They change your towels and sheets daily, and the bed was ok to sleep on. The elevator is small, but i am not large myself and I’d rather have a small elevator to take my bag up than none at all.
The staff is friendly and they did address the problems I had in the room upon my request.
Overall my stay was fine.

Now for the downsides. The room in general is not super clean, they don’t seem to care much about the corners and crevices. The shower is a different story, there was hardly any pressure and it was pretty much boiling hot water (rotating the thermostat had zero effect). I told the reception and they did something about it, so the water got “bearable”, still pretty hot and very low pressure. Almost impossible to wash the hair but I managed.

I stayed in room 52. If i was to get the same room I guess i would stay here again, but overall I wouldn’t risk it. The price was pretty low, so this is something one can expect for the price

The room was basic. The first night we had a dirty comforter but the hotel staff gave us extra blankets to use for the night and brought new ones in the morning. There was a hair dryer and an electric water kettle available for use and they provided tea bags and instant coffee packets. The staff was friendly and though they only offered one key, they were willing to unlock the doors as needed when one of us stayed behind. The hotel was older- the lift was suitable for just two people- but was just two blocks from the tube and the main strip. Many pubs and shopping close by. No bugs or rodents seen. Perfect for what we needed. Would stay there again.

The hotel is in an excellent location to shops and Earl's Court station just minutes walk away. It is situated in a quiet square. We would stay here again. The room size was fine. The beds were very comfortable and the room was cleaned daily, the lovely cleaning staff do an excellent job. One power socket in the room didn't work. Booking in was efficient but not very welcoming. Yes shower is small but water pressure and temperature fine. Overall happy for price paid and location

Great location, in a quiet square, 5 min walk from Earl's Court station. Had a basement room, which in itself was fine, a bit musty. No breakfast service. Kettle, tea, coffee provided in room, also a hairdryer. Clean bedclothes, towels. Bathroom well stocked. Smallest shower I've ever seen, but decent. My only real concern was the complete lack of security. There were outside stairs down to the basement, right outside my window which was secured by nothing other than a Brighton fastener and unfastened when I arrived. There were railings and a locked gate but still, very easy to hurdle. The room had a radiator that I turned off but a pipe in the wall kept the room far too hot, so we slept with the window open. There was a safe in the wardrobe that I couldn't get to work but it wasn't secured anyway so anyone could have just taken the whole thing. And after my night out, I arrived back at around 23:00, main door open, no challenge on entry. Very noisy in the morning.

The hotel is absolutely spotless. Incredibly clean. I always check the corners to see how clean a room is. These rooms are completely clean. Having a hard surface floor in the rooms rather than carpet has a significant impact on the feeling of cleanliness.

The staff is friendly and polite.

The hotel is what it says it is. It is very minimialistic. There is no air conditioning and no way to control the amount of heat in the room. You can open the window (unless you are in the basement) and some rooms have a fan. But our room was incredibly warm. Too warm to sleep with blankets.

The hotel is very convenient to the Earls Court Tube Station. If you use the Warwick Road entrance it is fine, before dark.

I used the Earls Court Road entrance and it was very dodgy even during the day.

I would not feel safe walking through most of the Earls Court Road area as a female traveler, traveling alone.

As a group, only in the room long enough to sleep, it was a good value.

Consider if the complexities are right for your group.

We were pleasently impressed with the size of the family room and a big bonus was 2 single beds for our sons, not a sofa bed or double. So, we had 1 double and 2 singles. The beds were very comfy, a lot better than some hotels/apartments we have stayed.
However, the room was far too hot, the radiator was on all night and the heat made it so uncomfortable to sleep. One if the single beds is against the radiator and window, my son was the hottest of us all. We did open the window, but not much as we were on the top floor, i was concered if my son sat up, moved near the window he could have fallen out, there needed a safety guard, this is the family room or better still turn the heating in the rooms down, there are lots of reviews about how hot the rooms are. The bed also broke in the morning, one of us sat on the edge to put socks on and it collasped. Just screws fell out, but there should be maintenance to ensure the beds are safe.

Despite this for the price we paid, the location was good for where we wanted to go, the museums. Even if we had gone further into the city it stilll would have been good. It was a 5 minute walk to the underground station. The staff were friendly and the rooms were very clean

This ‘Hotel’ is more in keeping with a hostel in terms of accommodation, service and facilities. Obviously, its USP resides with its proximity to EC etc. Main observations: the one tiny person lift was not operational. If you like Leningrad accommodation this is for you - I shall not be returning.

The staff were all fabulous and responsive. The location is excellent - few minute walk to the tube station. It is definitely a value play. The room is lacking unfortunately. The mattresses were old and too soft and uncomfortable. It was a tiny room and the bathroom had a shower stall that was so tight, I couldn't bend down to wash my feet, not a well designed shower. The building is clearly an older building and needs a bit of upkeep. Would I come back to the same hotel? I doubt it but never say never.

The Hotel was a disappointment. It fell very short of the rating on Expedia.
The room was a good size with a small toilet cubicle, bed, table , wardrobe/cabinet and chair. There wasn't any temperature control, unless you opened the window.
It was poorly decorated & maintained. Lights were hanging off, scratches on the wall, broken woodwork. The appearance was worse when you took a closer look. The walls were spotted with dirt & marks. The door handles were ingrained with dirt and wear.
The shower door was hanging off, the toilet roll holder fell off, the toilet seat was broken and not securely fixed. There wasn't a toilet brush (this seems to be common in hotels).
The sheets appeared to be clean and this was the only reason I stayed 1 night but the bed was so uncomfortable that I chose not to stay for the 2nd night.

The room was single bed, not too big but really clean and confort. The lady at the front desk was simlpy perfect, I really recomand. The position is safe and nice and so close to the metro

On arrival at 9pm, I had to wait 30mins for anyone to arrive at reception to gain access to my room. There was no way to contact anyone to request they attend reception.

My room was on the first floor, compact, but clean. However the radiator was on full blast all night with no way to change the temperature.

This resulted in a terrible night's sleep and headache in the morning. Altho the window opened, this lead to a ledge/balcony that ran the length of the building so I didn't feel it was safe to leave open overnight as I was on the first floor.

The room was in the basement, very hot and didn’t feel safe. I came away with bites, from what looks like bed bugs. You could see through the bathroom door which was very small. Will not be staying there again

The size of the rook was not the greatest, but it accommodated our needs. A friendly staff member named Sofia was nice and her colleagues were friendly and nice.
