This place is truly one of my favorite places I’ve stayed. It is backed up into the woods, yet just down the street from all the shopping and restaurants. We saw a family of deer walk by the windows while sitting in there eating our dinner. It is so relaxing and quiet. I can’t wait to go back!

Pretty setting/ thin walls

Beautiful setting, unfortunately Hotels.com made it appear I reserved a place in town. This was not the case. The place was nice, but I would not stay again because I could hear everything the people in the next room were doing/saying. It’s unfortunate I just stayed out as much as possible. The place is a lovely setting but does not warrant the price.

Room was well supplied and host was very accommodating with late check out request. Only thing that would make it better was some lighting above the coffee table area as it's very dark at night and a brighter bulb above the bathroom sink.

There was no jacuzzi as stated. The parking situation was terrible. Parking at street level rarely open. Parking lot in the back requires 5 flights of stairs. The heating furnace is only in living room, leaving back bedroom and bath freezing. No aroma therapy. No wood burning fireplace. Great view on the deck. Bed were comfortable. Nice music. Love the decking lights. Also, convenient location. It’s no I was. Cost was too high considering most things.

Confirm you are getting a hot tub and fireplace

A bit unhappy. I feel like I was duped by clever advertising . I booked this cottage for a weekend anniversary trip and chose this place because it had a fireplace and a hot tub. It had neither.
Regarding the hot tub, in all fairness it did not directly list one for our room type. The pictures show a hot tub which I was later told , some ( two) units actually have a hot tub but were booked. The Premium cottage I booked was not one of those.
The fireplace is still listed a room feature but there is not one. Since the nights were 20 degrees, this was an issue for me.
Now for the good. It is a charming little cottage that is well kept up and adequately furnished. The location was great and we had a wonderful weekend.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Bamboo Suite of Lotus House. The location was very tranquil and you could walk to downtown in about 15 minutes. They have dedicated parking for each suite and an easy check-in process. Keep in mind that this is a 100 year old home, so floors squeak and doors are sometimes difficult to close, but it adds to the character. If you book one of the upstairs suites (Bamboo or Reflections) be aware the stairwell is narrow which could be difficult to maneuver a large bulky suitcase. Overall, a really nice property.

The pictures are misleading. No joke!! No jacuzzi. The tub was so small I could not fit my legs in. This was not a “cottage”, we were in a dilapidated old home in a basement room. The dishes had food and lipstick stains.The glasses were dirty and one was cracked and cut my hand. The fireplace smelled of gas the entire time.
I don’t know where the pictures of the beautiful kitchen came from it was smaller then a closet and there was only a toaster oven and a mini fridge. The upstairs “guests” were an absolute nightmare!! Stomping and slamming doors. The bed was an old spring hard mattress. One very thin cover.
This was no zen experience.
The stairs to get to the space were mossy, tiny, steep and wet and had broken railings. Very dangerous. Not a good experience at all. The best part was the back porch because at least we weren’t inhaling fumes from the tiny gas box “fireplace”. I washed all the dirty dishes after being woke by the banging and stomping again at 5 am we gathered our items and left exhausted.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Wishing Star. The check in could not have been easier. The cottage was beautiful and had everything we needed. We enjoyed coffee on the back porch in the morning and a short walk to Rogues Manor for dinner. Will definitely stay at any Eureka Zen Cottage again.

The location is good, the grounds are nice, with a lovely courtyard in back. Designated parking - a PLUS in Eureka Springs. I love having an apartment-sized lodging space, and this one was furnished adequately. Soft music and scented diffuser greeted us. The rooms could have been a bit cleaner. Please note that although children are not permitted, there is NO on-site mgmt to enforce this. Had a small herd of children staying above us for one night. Just be aware of this. Otheriwise, a pleasant stay and I would RECOMMEND.

Very nice cozy place. Ample room with a well equipped kitchen. The place was clean. Everything was nicely done. The bathroom was not in the best shape compared to the rest of the unit (jacuzzi tub/ shower). I really enjoyed it but thought the cost was slightly high for what it was. However, I have nothing to compare it to. Overall, very nice.

We loved the upstairs balcony and had our coffee there every morning. I have shared this location with family for future trips. We stayed 4 nights.

We loved the entire experience of going to Eureka Springs! It was a very peaceful trip and much needed. The accommodations from Eureka Zen were wonderful! They made check-in/check-out easy, as well as, everything in between. The little extras, such as robes, coffee pods/machine and small kitchenette, we nice touches. The only thing we didn’t care for as much with being in a “lower level” cottage was the above noise from our neighbors. Other than that, we had a wonderful time!

We stayed in the Garden Suite for 3 nights. Due to inclement weather, we were in/on the property for much of the time but the place is so charming, we were perfectly happy. Very clean, nice decor, comfy bed, enchanting garden view, lots of pillows and towels and a magical sauna/shower. Kitchen area & bedroom are small but very functional. Living area and bath have lots of space. Lots of good supplies for making coffee. Overall, the place really does have a zen feel to it, very soothing and pleasant. Not sure how they pulled that off in an old Victorian house, but they did. Everything worked fine, although the door lock was a little balky. One thing to note, the suite is beneath a small common area on the ground floor and all footsteps above are audible from the bedroom. We were the only guests that weekend (off-peak & bad weather) so it was not much of an issue but late sleepers during busy times might want to consider one of the other suites on a higher floor. Property manager very nice and accommodating, Definitely recommend Eureka Zen.

The room was clean and well-kept. The bed was very comfortable compared to most beds I've slept on away from home. If you are looking to be close to town and all the shops and restaurants, this is a good option that's a step up from just a basic hotel room. Only a couple small negatives, but nothing that would keep me from staying there again...the pillows were way too firm. If this isn't your style, I'd suggest bringing your own. It's very dimly lit, this makes for nice ambience, but is tricky if you're a woman trying to put on make up and fix hair. Fortunately, it was very sunny while we were there and I was able to open all the curtains to get enough light. The patio view is not much to write home about. Wasn't a big deal for us, but if you're looking to sit out on your patio with a beautiful view of nature, this probably isn't for you. Again, overall a very nice place, and I would have no problem staying there again!

We stayed in the garden suite and it was perfect for a weekend getaway. The suite opens up to a private porch and beautiful garden area with a stone path. A deer greeted me at the porch one morning! The bed was comfortable and the suite had everything we needed to make a nice breakfast. There were several books available to read and the atmosphere was relaxing. The only cons I can think of are the is no closet to hang clothing, the floors are not level ( we found this everywhere we went in Eureka Springs), and some surfaces were a little dusty. We felt like it all added to the charm of staying in a beautifully quaint historical town. We had a fabulous time celebrating our anniversary and we will be back!

The Reflection Suite at the Lotus House was lovely, quiet, and the perfect location for a relaxing getaway. I loved the private back porch swing and claw foot bath tub the most! I especially appreciated that visitors to the Lotus House can park in the Eureka Zen property parking space near downtown, so I didn't have to pay for parking.

Love its all origonal windows, doors, floors. We visited when it was cold which with it being and older structure its drafty. The heater they have in there does a fab job though! Wished it had been warmer, the porches on this house are perfect! Its in walking distance of alot of shops but again, we were there when it was 28 and too cold to walk. The decor is great! Would stay here again for sure.

This is an amazing property. One of 4 suites in a renovated Victorian home, we opened the door to a beautiful space.

Everything is like new with soft music playing, fireplace glowing, and fabulous amenities. You will also enjoy your own private balcony just outside the door.

The bed is comfy and the whole area is simply beautiful.

We were only here a few nights but will be back! It is walking distance (about 10 minutes) to the historic district which is nice.

Do not hesitate to book through Eureka Zen!! You will not regret it!

So Happy With This Hotel!

If you are going to Eureka Springs, Arkansas and are looking for a place to stay that is off the beaten track, this is the place. A local couple has renovated a large Victorian home into several suites, with a Zen theme. Walking into our suite, we were greeted to candlelight, an essential oil diffuser, an ambient fireplace, and relaxing music. I immediately felt the stress of a long drive melting away. The room was large and comfortable, with a nice outside porch to sit and sip wine. The neighborhood was very quiet and close to the historic district of Eureka Springs (although not close enough to walk).
