A really good hotel in a great location - right next to the main street with restaurants and shops and across the road from the monastery. Rooms were large and comfortable, very clean. Breakfast buffet was excellent - super fresh with lots of choice, warm waffles made on request were excellent. Highly recommended.

This hotel is THE BEST place to stay in Częstochowa. It's clean, the staff are friendly, it's PERFECTLY centrally located to the best restaurants, yet it's across the street from Jasna Gora which makes it quiet too. But wait, the restaurant at the Hotel Mercure is better than those other restaurants on Aleja Najświętszej Maryi Panny. STAY Here!!!

Perfect location ! Just a few mins walk to Jasna Gora Monastery. Our room is very clean and tidy. With water dispenser outside the lobby . Very convenient . And the staff are very accommodating and courteous. We request to have 2 rooms to be on the same floor and a view of the Monastery . Restaurants and a convenient store is right around the corner . Just 5 mins walk . Very safe at night and early in the morning to walk to the Monastery to view the unveiling of Our Lady of Czestochowa.

Clean spacious room with comfortable bed. Good fast WiFi and helpful staff. A good restaurant with great food both evening menu and breakfast too.
Only criticism is that the gym needs to have the bench and weightlifting machine replaced.

For a budget hotel, I was totally surprised. Clean, great amenitites, staff was fantastic, and the location was perfect. We were only in town for one night but would absolutely stay here again. The bonus was that we had a room with a view of the steeple of Jasna Gora. What a sight at night.

Mercure is nice place to stay, however be careful to book your stay on Saturday’s night. Almost all night nearby a disco club was playing very loud music. It was not possible to sleep, even after 4 a.m. noise was unbearable. :( Our room was facing city core.

An Excellent Hotel in Poland

We have found Mercure hotels in Poland to be excellent in every way. This particuler hotel we stayed in last year, and we specifically picked it again this year. As before, it was excellent in every way. The staff will go out of their way to help. And with an American visiting Poland who does not speak the language, even though my companion speaks and reads Polish perfectly, still, the assistance of the staff at Mercure is everything. You simply can not go wrong by staying at the Mercure.

Staff was friendly but even I paid over 115 Euro per night without breakfast, for king room, air conditioning was not working, only blowing hot air and I had over 27 degrees in room. When I opened window to cool down, then main street was very noisy to 2 o'clock morning. I was not able to sleep. I had to pay for parking place but it was not sure when I leave parking lot that I will find empty place again on my return so my 10 Euro for parking car was only crazy fee from hotel. I shortened my stay and I changed hotel after two days for better and cheaper hotel.

2 minutes to Madonna

Nearest hotel to the Madonna Complex if you want to get a headstart on the crowds of worshippers. Katowice airport bus leaves from the bus-stop outside (but doesn't always turn up!). I found the staff always rather standoffish but never had much reason to ask for help. Good nights sleep but not the best value hotel during my trip

Perfect location for a visit to Jasna Gora

We chose this hotel because it was directly across the park from Jasna Gora, and made visiting Our Lady very easy. There also turned out to be a major street with tons of restaurants right around the corner. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel restaurant because it was very pricey (especially in comparison to the local restaurants) and was a fixed menu; I think the price was high because it includes alcohol (the hotel prides itself on a wide wine list, from what I saw), but I'm pregnant and can't drink, so that would have been a huge waste of money for us. We did eat the breakfast buffet, which was again more expensive than the other local restaurants, but there was a really wide selection of food to choose from, and overall we thought it was worth it. When we booked, there were no regular rooms with double beds left, so my husband and I booked the two twin room for the one night we were there; it clearly used to be a room with a double bed, as the wall lamps were poorly placed--immediately above each twin bed. I hit my head more than once when I sat up! The hotel offers a shuttle, per their pamphlet, but when we asked if it could take us to the train station, the man at the desk scoffed at us and said it was only a 15 minute walk. With our three weeks worth of luggage, that's a lot!! So we grabbed a cab from the stand around the corner ourselves (it's a cheap taxi ride to either train station and well worth it). Overall I'd stay there again, though, for the location.

Experiencing Krakow in Luxury!

We were there Dec 28-Dec 31st. We got to see all the set up for the big new years eve celebration and it was a really unique and cool experience. Because it was so close to everything we enjoyed the neighborhood immensely. I would recommend this gorgeous and historic hotel to all friends, family and associates. If you want to experience Krakow in luxury look no further!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION...

location is excellent ...just across the jasna gora monastery...since our trip was to mak a pilgrimage to the Black Madonna...then this is the only place to stay...our window opened to the park across the street with the monastery in the background....windows were well insulated so street noise was minimized...
lots of cabinet space and would have satisfied especially those who are staying for longer periods...

Part of a large chain, this hotel works to a standard formula. The hotel has no particular character but staff were friendly, restaurant was fine, and my room was comfortable. The hotel is well situated for access to the town and to the shrine at Jasna Gora which overlooks it.

A good place to stay while visiting Czeschotowa

My Hotel room was good and spacious. I was pleased with it. The only thing i did not apprecaite was the rate at which the drain in the shower got rid of the shower water. I found my self in a pool of water round my legs every time i took a shower. This is water that should have drained away freely as i took showers.

This hotel was located on a busy street but at night the traffic sounds were not bad. We noticed many of the hotels in Poland were on busy streets. It was an easy walk to a very nice pedestrian mall where there were shops and restaurants. The beds looked uncomfortable, but in actuality were very comfortable. I don't know how they do that! The staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was a good value.

Jasna Gora was right across the street, and therefore the hotel was very convenient. The hotel was very nice inside and my room had a window from which I could see Jasna Gora. Make sure to bring your own washcloth, as they are not supplied.

OK, considering it is one of the only options

This is definitely a no-frills hotel. You can expect a clean room that is in walking distance to Jasna Gora. The bed & pillows were uncomfortable, the bathroom was tiny and awkward to move in. There was a constant high-pitched whirling sound when you turned on the light in the bathroom. I can't say to avoid the hotel since this is one of the only hotel options in the area & it was cheap. I'm glad I only spent one night.

Jestem zdegustowany, foldery prezentujące pokoje mają się nijak do rzeczywistości. Pokój bardzo mały , nie wygodny, przed wyborem pokoju miałem zdjęcia przed sobą - dostałem całkowicie inny pokój z widokiem na chyba kotłownię !! Jeśli chodzi o czystość non komens- źle.
