Overall our stay for 2 weeks was pretty good, place is quiet and homey, it’s accessible to dine in restaurants, transportation is not bad because you can grab a taxi or jeepneys. Breakfast is not bad but can be improved. Facility is something they can always improve as I noticed ants crawling around specially when you leave your food without a cover. Staffs are very helpful and accommodating. I would recommend staying here to someone who is on a budget as the rate is affordable.

The hotel location is walkable to many restaurants and convenient stores.

The staff were friendly.

For the rooms, the walls are thin and I could hear conversations and noises. I also had some issues with the sink which the drainage would go down very slowly.

The WiFi was very good especially for the international calls and meetings I needed to take for work. Just needed to resign back on at times.

Great location walking distance to 7-eleven, Max Grill and Wheatberry Cafe. Grab (same as Uber) rides are short drives to shopping. Very nice modern facilities and pleasant staff. I would stay again and recommend to others.

I appreciated the hotel's design, room size, facilitiea and location. I like the vibe overall. As much as I want to love this hotel, it doesn't quite work for me because it didn't meet some of my basic necessities such as a hand towel, a wash cloth and towels in the pool area. Also, by 9:15 am we could barely make a plate for breakfast which is supposed to be availble until 10:00 am.

The place feels like I'm at home. Very secure, peaceful, and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The housekeeping staff especially Ian, were very helpful and provides quick and fast service. I just noticed greeters at the front office or desk not quite friendly and did not smile or greet us when we walked in. But overall, everything is good.

The Privato Hotel is a very modern and contemporary establishment. I found the room very aesthetically pleasing with small surprise conveniences like a small fixed mirror that you can angle to see the back of your head whilst at the sink and a weight scale. TV had many options. It is located in a quiet area I was in room 708

But what was most profound was the level of attentiveness provided by the staff, whilst using the top floor pool, a happy fellow came up to provide towels. He was the same to remind me about some garments I still had hanging in the closet on check out, such small gestures are what makes a stay extra special. I will highly consider and Privato hotel for a stay.

I would never recommend the Privato in philippines to anyone. Charged me $500 pesos for a lost key card which literally costs 1 peso. The breakfast buffet was the worst I have ever had anywhere. To top off my poor service; they booked me a cab to wrong bus terminal and delayed my arrival home by 2 hours and cost me another $500 pesos for a taxi to correct Bus terminal. Privato is not a good idea for anyone

Room 705 looks out at a grey and depressing wall -avoid. Rooms are tired and need maintenance, cupboard door hinge broken, shower doesn't drain properly, landline useless etc. Staff efficient and friendly.

Don't know what is going on in the hotel, but they stopped putting hand towels and face towels in the room. Only 2 bath towels can be found in the shower. I had to ask for face towels every day of my entire stay, and the towels are worn and not white.

Great location for peace, quiet stay and convenience. Public transport is just steps away. Lots of eateries within a block.
Functional but very limited wi-fi

Cons:
Free breakfast has a very limited choice, ok but not anything special.
In-room safe deposit boxes ARE NOT BOLTED. Anyone can walk away with them with all your valuables locked inside.
In-room fridge never worked

Good hotel but need a guest-friendly policy. I need a late check-out, but there is no such policy as 50% charge for 6 hours late check-out. I have to pay a night rate for 6 hour late check-out. Hope they accept the guest firendly policy.
Room is very clean and well equiped, but no sound proof. Noisy from sound near room and corridor. Staff are kind and attentive.

The hotel is located just a block away from Tomas Morato Avenue which has several restaurants and bars. The room is nice. However, the bathroom door is almost see-through, especially when the lights inside are switched on.

Modern style clean room, unfortunately view from 10th floor blocked by a cencrete wall, but very comfortable bed and high tech TV to play direct from your celphone youtube.
The restaurant is stylish, but the food really could and should be better! We had some spätzle pasta, but that was more something for the piggy pail. Over all, the stay was OK.

This seems to be a 2 star hotel, the room is not properly stacked with towels. We have to call almost every day for them to place a hand towel.It was a bit noisy in our floor, you can hear chatting from the outside hallway. The people at the breakfast room were nice and accomodating. but the daily breakfast menu doesn't have variety. the fruits seems not fresh at all.

Great hotel in Quezon City

I stayed at the Meranti for around a week and it was great. The service is wonderful and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. The rooms are large and clean with great rain showers. There is also a roof deck with a pool and excellent views. It's walking distance from lots of great places to eat, drink and shop.

Stay was good. Service was also quite nice. Mgmt just needs to be aware of deterioration in ares that have contact with water. Under sink, bath area, toilet bowl area, at times bowl is not seated correctly and wobbles when one sits on it. Uber sink there is slight evidence that mold could occur leak is not repaired and wall should be patched up, painted and sealed, so it looks and stays dry.

Minutes Away From St. Lukes Medical Hospital.

Our stay at Meranti Hotel was nothing but spectacular. When we arrived at the hotel to check in, the lobby was very clean and peaceful. The front desk staff were very polite and quick to check us in. We were greeted with a welcome drink that was refreshing after a long morning of traveling. So far so good I thought. Well, once we were brought up to our room, we were pleasantly surprised. Our room looked more larger than what was advertised. The beds were incredibly comfortable in that it would want you to sleep in the whole day. I do not watch much television, but for those who do, it was the perfect size for our room. I mainly used the internet, which I am glad to say that each room has their own dedicated wifi signal. The bathroom was spotless. As for breakfast, I am not much of a morning eater, but I ate more than my fair share. The complimentary breakfast buffet should satisfy the average person. It sure satisfied me. For lunch or dinner, there are close bakeries, restaurants, stores nearby for your convenience.The reason I chose this hotel was because of the rather close proximity to St. Lukes Hospital. After a long day at the hospital, I was happy to relax in my hotel room at Meranti. I cannot say much about the swimming pool as the weather was not in our favor, but If I do return to Meranti, I would definitely have a swim If weather permits.

I only stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Over all I was pleased with its amenities. My room was clean and quiet. I like its elegant modern style. Very neat and put together. Stayed with my 2 kids over the weekend of September 16-17. We stayed in a room with 2 single beds that had a view of the hotel's exhaust system (this part of Quezon City was not where you would go for a view anyway). Parking was difficult as there were limited hotel slots so the attendant told is to park at nearby Max's restaurant. Meranti Hotel is owned by the Max's group of companies. But even then, I wasn't able to park there since there were many functions happening at Max's so they let me park at the hotel's driveway. For a hotel room I'd consider it just a place to really stay for the night. The telephone in the room was one of those you simply buy and plug in (which means you don't really get to call the reception for room sevice). The bar had those unlabelled generic coffee, cream, and sugar pouches, not even the 3-in-one kind with no teaspoons. Only a swizzle stick to stir your coffee if you want to use them. Don't stay too long in the shower or put the water in full mode because the water will overflow outside of the shower stall. The wifi is strong though and the television had a Smart tv connection. Checkout was at 1130, earlier than most hotels which is at 12nn. We actually prepared to leave by 11am. Normally, when we like the hotel, we'd go beyond 12. Having said these, Meranti Hotel would still be a clean and nice play to stay at if your main purpose is you need a place to stay at and you had business to conduct within the vicinity of ABS-CBN.

I wish I remember their names -- Chloe and JT? -- but they were especially friendly and attentive to me when I had a weekend break at the Meranti Hotel. The rooms were very clean, loved the bed (slept so well), and breakfast was yummy. I would stay here again because it's off the main roads so it's super quiet but the Laging Handa area eats are just walking distance. And yes, you can walk around this cool neighborhood with ease. I didn't get to try all the places so I'll be back soon!

Nice hotel but far from airport

The hotel is 2 hours away from the airport in rush hour so be prepared for a long journey. The staff were welcoming and friendly. They were mostly helpful but some of them hadn't limited knowledge and were not able to answer all enquiries. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The breakfast was nice with a decent selection. The local area is quite good because there are lots of shops and places to eat within walking distance. I would certainly stay here again.

When I arrived at the hotel in the afternoon to check-in, I was greeted by the doorman/security and the bellman assisted me with my luggage. I looked around the lobby area and it looks elegant. Dining area is set up very nicely too. Hotel staff were very accommodating. Check-in process was fine and precise. During my entire stay, every front desk associate displayed excellent customer service specially Marco and Rachel whom I mostly interacted with. You made my stay a great one! I will definitely recommend Meranti hotel and will stay here again on my next trip back to the Philippines.
