When book Wikipedia I requested to be given the discount that was given to the convention at the time by Disabled American Veterans. The customer service indicated that that discount was going to be apply. They lied to me. They charge me $505 for two rooms that I could’ve got them for $280 at the hotel location. I will not recommend Expedia to anyone else to purchase because false advertisement in honoring discount to nonprofit organizations is preferable to book directly with a hotel and you will save hundreds of dollars. Please disregard Expedia if any question you can contact me at 210-316-3465.

I was part of a group of 120 club members who attended a conference at the property. The ballrooms were good size, allowed for us to have a large gathering and other breakout rooms. The catering and staff were great! They were truly super friendly and helpful.

The facility is antiquated, but their prices make up for that and balance out well.

The rooms were decent and had the basic amenities. I did not use the pools or the gym during my stay.

I would recommend this location for a large event or simply to stay the night. The Spurs were playing, and many people from the hotel and local community were at the on-site bar to watch the game.

They booked 3 rooms total. I booked 2. Couldn’t get my money back. The a/c didn’t work and the tvs didn’t work. Got 2 other rooms. the a/c worked but one of the tvs still didn’t work. I got ripped off. I will never stay there again.

We absolutely loved this beautiful place! I swim and they have an Olympic style outdoor pool in a lovely area with sun and tables and chairs under trees around the pool. Everyone was very helpful. The only thing it could use is an elevator because if you’re on the second floor it’s a chore to bring a heavy suitcase up the stairs. They said their staff could help carry luggage. We’ll be back if we go to that area again!

I'm sad to say this properly has really deteriorated over the last few years. The exterior walls, windows had lots of spider webs, bug droppings. My bathtub drain was plugged. I mentioned to staff and they forgot to tell maintenance. Housekeeping is every other day. Which is disappointing.

I like this hotel over all. My room was only cleaned once during my 5day stay, but it was memorial day weekend, so there may have been staffing mixups.

The toilet in my room had a problem that I asked them to fix, but they ended up not doing it and I had to sort it out on my own.

I have stayed here before and everything was fine. I'm sure this was just because of the holiday weekend.

When we checked in, we were told that since we booked through a 3 party (Expedia) we were not a priority and were lucky they even had a room to offer us. When we asked if our room would be cleaned and coffee re-stocked, they said that those things were not done until after the 3rd night. The pool was green and completely unusable.

But no towels at the pool. Breakfast terribly expensive. Complimentary coffee difficult to find, and only regular available. Won’t stay there again

Love the area because it’s neutral to where our families live. Being from this town, we definitely have seen the declination of this once prestigious hotel. It definitely needs a facelift and some TLC. Though for the most part, it’s clean and most times comfortable. The price is not justifiable compared to other local hotels.

Disgusting rooms. Smelled musty and moldy. Other friends were staying also and had to change rooms because of the horrible smell. After changing rooms it didn’t smell much better. Walls are paper thin. The man in the room next to us kept sneezing and we could hear it through the walls. We thought someone was in the room with us. We won’t ever stay there again.

Paid thru Expedia with affirm. At check in they could not process the damage deposit on Expedias form of payment. So instead of just putting the deposit on a different card they made me pay for the entire stay again. They could clearly see I had prepaid but refused to accept it. Terrible service.

Room was very dark. No extra wall plugs available near bed for heating pad. Very tight space on vanity of bathroom sink. Gatorade/ bottled water machine near the pool ate my $ & gave me no bottled water. Bottled water out of machine cost $3/bottle. Almost ran into the spiral staircase right outside our room door every time we left the room. Bed was comfy, night staff friendly when I asked for extra coffee pod for the small coffee maker in our room.

We arrived at 3:35 and told that if we checked in before 4 pm that we would be charged an early check in fee. We were driving from San Antonio with tired children who just wanted to swim. We asked if we would be able to use the pool while we waited. They allowed us to do this, requested we wear wrist bands, I'm not sure why as there were no pool attendants. We were not given directions to the pool or where we could change into suits. The pool was dirty. The back part of the property where the pool is is dingy and old appearing.
I became nervous about staying here given the run down appears and looked at other reviews an discovered that there are issues in the rooms being moldy and musty, one person had to be moved several times in 2 days.
I then noticed the trend that booking through Expedia ended up with people being charged 2-3 times for their stay, the hotel saying they never received payment which Expedia states was sent
At 4:05 I arrived to check in and waited about 20-30 minutes to check in. I was then told that the hotel never received payment and I was going to be charged $140 to stay after I had already paid. They stated that the confirmation number I was given was not correct or noted in their system.
I contacted Expedia and they stated they'd discuss with the property for a refund and I found a proper hotel about 40 minutes away and closer to our destination.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

The lobby is nice and the staff was pleasant and warm.
The room: door was all scratched up and that should have been a clue! Room dark with four lamps, one hard to get on and then bulb went out. Dingy and tv was on some kind of system that the next day a maintenance fellow had to come out and re-program so that it could work.
Bed was good and it had five pillows.
I asked if they used this kind of room for expedia customers or if they were all like this? Some rooms have been up-graded. Those are the rooms they should be giving folks to advertise that Inn a good place to be.

Overall experince was underwhelming. Starting from the checkin, the host (a guy with long hair) was pretty rude, didn't seem to know the concept of service or hospitality.

My room had a weird musty smell, probably from water damage and just 10 minutes into it I could tell that I won't be able to sleep well there. Despite of my unwillingness to interact with the rude host, I went to ask if they have a different room because of bad odor? The guy looked irritated (constantly on his mobile BTW). He assigned me a new room which didnt had smell, but had dirty patches on floor, so was acceptable.

The restaurant was closed during the entire 4 days of my stay. Room service was great, the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars. But overall, I won't be coming back and won't recommend.

Spend $30-$50 extra per day and find a better place. This is not worth it.

The Inn of the Hills is definitely getting old. Our stay was OK and I was upset and disappointed that our room was not cleaned while we were out on Saturday. When I came back the gentleman at the front desk said we were supposed to request this. We were never told this nor was there anything in our room that mentioned this. Housekeeping was gone, and sheets needed to be changed and some new towels, and the trash taken out.
I requested when I checked out for some sort of discount due to this; however, the staff, though kind, does not have any authority and sent a message to the manager. I will see if anything is done. I will not stay here again, though.

I have stayed here many times and usually have a perfect experience. Unfortunately this time our air conditioner didn’t work the first night. They did send maintenance to our room to fix it, but it didn’t work. We told the front desk that the ac still didn’t work the next morning and we ended getting downgraded to a smaller room which I found disappointing. I have always loved staying here and so Hope. Text time is better.

Appears to be 60+ year old facility with a convention center attached. Dated old \"majestic\" property that has seen a lot of traffic. The \"exercise\" facility consists of 3 treadmills and 2 elliptical trainers that appear to be 20+ years old and have operational issues. The in-room heat did not work, even after being reported. The requested wake-up call was not carried out. The vanity sink drain was plugged. Maid service was competent, accommodating, and friendly.

The hotel is in excellent condition and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated the pub. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Location was great— able to walk down to the river every morning and were minutes away from all we wanted to do. Property is well tended to. I believe they are in the process of upgrading the tv boxes, but maintenance was quick to reset ours when the channels didn’t load. The in-room coffee could be better, but other than that, the amenities were just great. We’ll stay again whenever we come back!

We arrived early and they made us wait until exactly 4:00 to check in. Did all others the same way I will say. There were several large groups that they seemed much more prepared for than our 2 room group although we gave them a month in advance reservation. The rooms were very outdated and somewhat pieced together. There was a coffee pot plugged into a surge protector along with the tv that was suspended mid air and no support. We were given a handicap room and was told it was exactly the same as the others except it had a walk in shower. This was a joke of a walk-in in shower. No glass door only an old cream plastic curtain and was the same floor sharing the toilet. Disgusting. Attached was a vanity that has a terrible dirty smudged mirror. I could be more critical but I will stop here. We didn’t
Eat at the restaurant after the condition of room and what we had oaid was too much. We did have a drink at the Pub on Saturday nite and no waitress or waiter. You had one little bartender trying to make the drinks and handle everything.

We checked in on a Sunday and checked out on a Monday. Our room, although beautiful, smelled old and musty…likely due to the wooden ceilings and the age of hotel. They gave you shampoo, but no conditioner in room. The toilet was small, like what you would see in a children’s room. And the morning of checkout, there was no breakfast because their restaurant was closed.
That being said, we loved the beautiful architect of the building, the pool, and the surroundings. It felt as if we stepped back in time, when going to a hotel meant something more that a bed and tv. The service was great, waitstaff was friendly, and we will definitely return should we get the chance.

We had to ask several times to have room cleaned since they did not do daily cleaning. Then we got an additional charge to credit card that is unexplained and have left 2 messages to talk to manager. The USB connection they furnished on the night stand didn't work, we called the office twice and it was never fixed. One of the staff even told me to run to Walmart down the street and purchase my own USB cube. That was poor customer service. Housekeeping doesn't redo the room unless you're staying 3 nights, we were only staying 2 nights.

My husband was charged TWICE for our stay. I am in disbelief over how I was treated on the phone when I called today. Not an apology from who I talked to or anything. Just that we would get a refund in a few days. So $650 for a stay that was supposed to be $300. I checked my account a little later in the day and I was also charged $300 on my card that I originally booked the hotel with. So, we have been charged THREE times, that is now $950 we paid for a two day stay that was supposed to be $299.52. Even if we get the money back in a few business days this is unacceptable to take that much money from someone’s account!!!!

Photos on the website are old and misleading. The room is at least 10 years out of date. Each room is \"Motel Style\" with a door facing outside. The carpet is the most disgusting yellow/brown color. And everything was gross feeling. I didn't take my shoes off the whole time. I killed 2 roaches the first night when they scurried across the dresser.

Not for light sleepers, we heard everything the people in the room next to us said and did-and they were just talking in normal voices. Bathroom had hair on the floor and on countertop. Shower didn’t drain while in use and plug was laying in shower. Positive it’s a good location.

This property is a dump! The previous reviews must have been done by the ow er. The prooerty online refle ys rustic charm. The reality is a rundown prooerty that hasn't been updated since the early 70's. To make thi gs worse, the bed was hard as a rock! We didn't spend the night. Had I not needed a shower a d to get dressed for an event I would have lwft immediately. Even the shower was a disaster. During the shower, the shower curtain and bar fell into the tub. Needless to say, I don't foresee ever trusting this site again.
