So, we booked this about an hour ahead of being there. When we showed up, the office was closed. There was a sign on the door addressed to another guest and a phone number on the closed sign. Called the number and the owner of the property answered and apologized that he did not see the reservation come in and was away from the property. He asked us to wait 30 minutes so he could return to check us in. It got mostly better from there. Check in was pleasant and the owner was very apologetic and accommodating. The room was nicer from the inside than it appeared from the outside, except for the used washcloth draped over the shower head from a previous guest. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a fire pit that was lovely. We didn't get to use the complimentary bikes or the pool, but they seemed like a nice amenity. Expedia said breakfast included - read a bunch of reviews while we were waiting to check in to learn, breakfast was included only on weekends. Complimentary Coffee and Tea were available. When I go away for relaxation, I don't appreciate political or belief statements in my face - whether they are aligned or unaligned with my own. The pride flag and sign about gay marriage on the property, while I am sure an important statement by the owner, were unexpected and a 1st for me at any Expedia reserved property.
