Born and raised in the area I’ve driven by the Emerson 1000 of times, before my retirement in the USAF and now for the past 11 years living in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, I finally returned back home for the passing of my father.
I’ve seen many luxurious places throughout my travels around the world, but this stay caught me off guard. From check in to our final day, our stay was absolutely amazing. It really does not get any better for the Catskills. A place where you can really reflect on life with all the amenities you can ask for.
Amazing stay for our week stay, will be there soon again.

Stayed for 3 nights in June in a junior king suite. The 2 story room was very clean and ac worked well. 2 32 inch tvs with cable. No cell service.Did not use pool, but it looked very nice, Large soaking tub with airjets in bathroom was very nice. This room was very clean. Staff at desk was very nice and informative about the area. Very small refridgerator and no utensils or paper towels. Lots of large bath towels. Bring some paper plates and forks. Very quiet area. Walls thin however, heard everything in next room. Very comfy king size bed and little balcony was nice. Gift shops were very nice.

The hot stone massage restored me. The property is very clean with a rustic feel to the room I stayed in. Hot tub was smaller than expected. It is good for families with outdoor space for kids to play.

Had I known we would have stayed at a ground floor room (parking lot right in front of it... fact not mentioned during the Expedia booking experience), I never would have booked this place. Stayed awake half the night.... the next door neighbours were loud past 11p.m. despite the hotel's policy.... would not consider revisiting this place.

The room is always clean and tidy. The hot tub in the room was nice as well. The staff are always nice.
Hopefully they will add more items to their stores.
I feel that the breakfast should be open longer.

Arrived at the Emerson during a storm, but way before our check in time. Jackie at the front desk was able to get us an early start in the room. Room was immaculate. Ended up eating at the Catamount for dinner and breakfast. The staff there was also great, at was the food and drinks we ordered. Will definitely be back, and will be booking a full week instead of just a weekend getaway.

My friend Lenny and I chose the Emerson as a central hub for our daily motorcycle trips. The whole property is amazing! Beautiful “log cabin” style rooms in the section we chose. Very comfortable beds and a daily morning dip in the large outdoor jacuzzi helped melt away the aches and pains of the daily rides. The bar was great and the food was too. Very friendly staff on all points! From the helpful front desk to the friendly bartender! So many beautiful places to see in this area. Plus you have the Woodstock Brewery and the Fenicia diner right down the road. These two places are a “must”to visit if you’re staying at the Emerson!

Had a great time during our one night stay. Went for nature walk you are supposed to sign in for this event, but we walked into the lobby and asked to join and they added us without even saying anything.we enjoyed s’mores at the outdoor fireplace. Room was cleaned and well kept. Beds, pillows, linens comfortable. It was quite sterling it. Next morning snow had been cleaned all around even between cars. They give attention to details. Staff is friendly and helpful, even landscaping people were waiving hi. We had a short stay, would recommend it and I would stay again to take advantage of the spa and other amenities.

This is a beautiful spot for a weekend getaway. My fiance wanted somewhere with an outdoor hot tub, fire pit, bar, and nature. This place checked every box and all of the staff were super nice. I had a massage by Alex (amazing) and my fiancé had a deep tissue by Katie. He's 6'6\" and muscular and Katie the masseuse was a tiny little thing but she did an AMAZING job with him. He sounded like he was fighting for his life (in a good way LOL). Seriously, I was impressed. The room we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous. The only downside was the jetted tub in our room only seemed to work when it wanted to. I would turn on the jets and the motor made the noise as if it was on, but the jets didn't turn on, even though i followed the directions. After about 30 minutes of soaking, some of them turned on for a little bit before turning off completely. The property itself was well-maintained. We enjoyed walking the grounds and breathing the clean mountain air. It was everything we wanted for our winter weekend away. I would love to come back and experience this place in the summer!

I wanted to love this hotel but for over $400 a night for a room there wasn't a bar or restaurant open on the property. No activities or fire pit either, we had to leave the resort we paid the money to stay at. Just wasn't worth the money.

Very high price for a so so room. Poor signage at night, couldn’t find check in location. We’ve stayed at the Emerson in the past and we’re looking forward to dining there. No luck, the dining room was CLOSED due to lack of staff which I find a silly excuse. We will not be going back.

Our stay at the Emerson was really an amazing time. We went after our wedding for a mini-moon. The property is beautiful, the amenities are fantastic and the staff for the most part were fantastic, friendly, and really helpful…except for our check-in. Jordan the person working the desk at the time of our checkin could not have been less enthused with our presence. It’s like we interrupted her at home while she was relaxing or something. This was the only issue we had but everything else was absolutely fantastic and we are planning a second trip to treat our parents.

Rustic room in the lodge was large and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was delicious and kayleigh our bartender made the best chocolate martini. My only criticism would be the poor wifi but understand it is being addressed next month.

A beautiful gem in the middle of nowhere. Only a 15 minute drive to the quaint town of Woodstock. Nestled in the woods next to a roaring Brook. Beautiful rooms, lovely facilities,good restaurant, friendly staff. .
