We had a junior suite, and it was very comfortable. The room and hotel were completely quiet, something rare in Naples. The hotel's location was terrific. Every hotel employee was friendly, courteous, and helpful. This is an extremely well-run hotel, and it was a pleasure to stay here for five nights.

The hotel itself was nice and clean and staff was friendly. There was shopping close by with good deals. We bought a medium size luggage for €20. Continental breakfast was very good with a large variety. When everyone is trying to take a shower in the morning, hot water does run out which I heard it is common in these areas so I would have to take a shower at night or very early in the morning. I know Naples is known for their graffiti so I was not surprised with that, but I was surprised with the amount of trash in the area when we arrived by taxi, we found a pile of trash in front of the hotel. Which was cleaned up the next morning.

Location is very convenient, shopping, dinning, and for transportation. Breakfast is included, the room is clean and best Italian bedding and towels. Five stars serving, front desk staff are very helpful. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

The hotel itself is very nice. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Walking up to the hotel from the outside can be a little disconcerting. If you are not used to big city life and the people that inhabit the big city it could be a little intimidating especially in the evening. That said, the staff is again, so very helpful.

Ideal location for the old town with friendly staff and a clean environment. Breakfast could be better by providing some more options. Overall, this hotel is great for somebody wanting to explore Naples.

More generally, our first impressions of Naples was let down by the volume of rubbish that was on the street outside the hotel and elsewhere across some of the city.

If you want to visit Naples then this hotel is good for doing so.

Nice hotel. Giving 4 stars not 5 because everything was good but nothing stood out as exceptional. The breakfast was as expected in a European hotel. Staff in breakfast area were excellent. Albergo Palazzo Decumani, an oasis of historic gentility in Naple’s liveliest neighborhood, is a beautifully restored 17th c. palazzo on a little square next to the Archivo Nationale. As you enter the hotel, you cannot help being impressed by the palazzo’s original spiral staircase that winds 5-stories up the heart of the hotel. It is functional, but not to worry, there is an elevator. My room, large bright and airy with windows and French doors opening to a small iron balcony, could be noisy if they were open, but double panes and noise-muffling curtains eliminated most of that, so I slept well every night. The hotel staff were all professional and personable, but Barbara and Vera were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Being from Naples, they knew all the best restaurants, sights…and were simply wonderful!

The staff are incredible here, from cappacinos in the morning to booking tours when asked. The location is excellent where you can walk everywhere and yet when you go to your room, it’s very quiet and a block from all the action. The hotel is very clean and safe in this area.

Great location for sight seeing in the old quarter. 2-3 blocks to Chapel Sansevero and Santa Chiara monastery. I brought my 95 year old mom to Naples. So location had to be close as she doesn’t walk much. We had a good room on 3rd floor near elevator. I will say for those with accessibility needs - there are 3 steep steps into hotel. 3 more up to ground level. And an additional 2 up to reception and elevator. And an additional 2 over to area where breakfast is served. Good breakfast with a nice variety. I will say the reviews about the hard mattress are true. Very hard mattress like a board. Pillows were laughably flat and bad. Bring your own. No coffee or tea maker in room which was a disappointment. Barren lobby. The plaza where hotel is located has a corner dumpster that is always overflowing. Maybe just an Italian thing but it was constantly full with trash all around it even after it was emptied. Unsightly. Pleasant staff.

The hotel interior was lovely with an old world feel but with modern amenities. I was only there for one night but would stay there again if passing through Naples. Any negatives about the property are the negatives of Naples itself (the square in front on the hotel was strewn with cigarette butts, garbage and graffiti) and beyond the hotel's control. Barbara at the front desk was lovely and recommended an excellent breakfast spot for that morning as well as assisting us with taxis and airport transfers. We left too early the next morning to try out their breakfast. The accessibility of the hotel is, unfortunately, poor. There are seven steps up to the front desk and the elevator, though the elevator is large enough to fit a standard wheelchair. Other thing to be aware of: the hotel is in a pedestrian zone so taxis or other transportation may not be able to drop off/pick up from the hotel directly depending on their permits or the time of day. Again, not a big deal to walk a block or two, unless you have mobility issues.

Excellent hotel in every respect. Reception staff were very helpful and pleasant. Room was spacious, well appointed and meticulously clean. Relatively easy walk (for two 70 year olds) to train station to catch train to Pompeii. Lots of other amazing cultural attractions and restaurants (as long as you like pizza) within easy wallk of hotel. We stayed at this hotel 12 years ago and it was just as pleasant a stay then as it was this time.

Property is the ideal spot for being in Naples. It’s right in/by the Ancient Town, by Spacconappoli and so easy to get around the area. It is also easy access to walk to the main train station (Napoli Centrale/Piazza Girabiladi) (15-18 min walk) and to the upper end of Napoli (10 min the opposite way).

The hotel itself is nice. It is what I expect for an Italian hotel. Nice accommodations, clean, very nice staff. That being said, there were just a few things to mention…it doesn’t take away the great rating I have of the hotel…afterall it’s in a FANTASTIC spot in town. Just something that an American tourist would want to know. The bed was nice but it wasn’t super comfy and soft. The pillows were also nice but a little dense for me. And for the ladies, bring conditioner for your hair bc they do not provide it. They have great smelling and wonderful soap, shampoo, body wash and body cream (lotion), but not conditioner. It’s not a thing in Italy. So not a ding on the hotel but just remember to bring some.

Breakfast was delicious. We stayed for 5 nights so I was hoping there would be more variation to the breakfast since i didn’t want the same thing over and over again. But it was a delicious and beautiful breakfast buffet spread. If you want great coffee, be sure to ask for it vs using the self serve machine (like a nespresso or keruig type machine). The staff makes fantastic espresso.

Overall a great hotel! I wouldn’t mind staying there again!!

I had an excellent stay at Albergo Palazzo Decumani and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The location is incredibly convenient, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore nearby attractions on foot. The room was spotless, spacious, and well-appointed, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service—the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive to every need. Best Location Ever

The hotel is located right next to the historic area in walking distance of many major attractions. The area around the hotel is NOT poor as some reviews indicate. It looks exactly like the rest of the historic district and was completely safe. It was so nice to be able to walk to everything. Breakfast was lovely and staff were very helpful. Lobby and room had plenty of charm. Room had nice minibar and good bathroom. Bedding was a little dated but it was fine.

The staff at the time of our check in were not helpful or friendly. They said if we want to upgrade its higher rate when asked about free upgrade they said they are fully booked, they said the Expedia should have sent a note. Asked about extra pillows because my acid reflux issues to raise my head, his reaction was oh no. Later that night a different receptionist got me two extra pillows.

Wonderful seven day stay. Rooms are quiet and huge with great storage. All tourist sites are easily walkable and we always felt safe. Naples gets a bad, unwarranted rap, for being unsafe.
Hotel staff were helpful. Breakfast was marginal at best. Not enough varied choices but what they had was manageable. Best location which by itself makes this a top notch hotel. Would highly recommend.

Lovely room but very different atmosphere from the website pictures and description. Night staff was wonderful the morning manager was not very nice. Location was great if you want to walk to the port - about 15 minutes & plenty of restaurants nearby. Area around hotel was gritty & hotel was in a limited traffic area however that really isn’t the case. This worked for my trip & if you want a beautiful room and don’t care about outside the hotel or amenities in the hotel this would work.

Good choice for one night for airport

This hotel was about a 15 min €25 ride to the airport. It was in the middle of the downtown area… and is generally clean. Staff was helpful, showers hot, mattress awful. For one night stopover for the airport it’s sufficient. I do not recommend for a romantic weekend. But then I wouldn’t recommend Naples in general. One point to note is that coming from Amalfi the drivers were hesitant to book a ride into the area, as there is a lot of traffic and many pedestrian only zones. We got dropped off and had to walk a few blocks. Recommend booking transport well in advance. Getting a cab to the airport was easily arranged by the hotel.

Barbara! She is so delightful, made excursions around the area so easy with map directions. She answered all questions and always with a smile.

Breakfast was great, the chef/lead took pride in making sure all was well and replenished. The quiche was delicious. I only wish there were more warm dishes available.

The only take away was no complimentary water in the room and no ice bucket. When I asked for ice in a hot humid day, I was told it would be brought up promptly. Despite asking for the room number twice, it was never delivered!

Overall, beautifully decorated and maintained property in the center of the ancient town. Window blocks off all sounds and there is a skybox available too. Just a 20 min walk to the Garibaldi station and 20 mins drive to NAP.

Hotel was beautiful and the rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. Our only issues were the staff and the area. When we arrived we had just come in from a long day of sun and swimming in Capri and were pretty waterlogged and sunburnt. The man who checked us in looked like he was going to ask us to leave and was incredulous that we had a prepaid reservation. The front desk staff the next day wasn’t much friendlier. The area itself was borderline scary. I think that’s the case for most of Naples though. We were starving once we got settled in but none of us felt comfortable walking at night in the surrounding area. Luckily we found an Italian food delivery app.

Hotel is beautiful, our room had all the comforts we hoped for including high quaity black out curtains. Staff are friendly and attentive - helped us navigate the city. Breakfast offered a deliscious selection of fresh and hot food, patries, fruit and coffee.
we felt safe and were safe walking about in the evenings. Its 2 minutes away from historic city centre making it really convient to explore this must see area. Its not a quiet area but with our windows closed and ac on, we were not disturbed. There is a bank machine right across the street and we used that without any challenges. Taxi access to the hotel was also a big plus.

The hotel was nice and very clean but the front of the property was a hangout for homeless people and there are garbage containers right across the property. Location is good it is right next to the historic center and the Napoli Central Station is 15 minute walk.
