Our stay at UFO Luxotel Wadi Rum was absolutely unforgettable! The location is breathtaking — surrounded by the stunning desert landscape and perfect for watching the stars at night. The bubble rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed, offering an amazing mix of luxury and nature.

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. The dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the whole experience felt magical from start to finish.

Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Wadi Rum — it’s truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

What a fantastic way to start experiencing Wadi Rum. Communication from the property before the trip was easy. There is a vehicle that takes you from the parking area to the actual hotel -- this is also where you can reserve a desert excursion. (Note: cash only and there are no ATMs around.) The hotel staff is great. Check-in was easy. My \"room\" was clean and comfortable -- and cool, as the property had set the AC before my arrival. Great view of the desert from the bed and couch. Loved the little deck area with chairs and a hammock. Got the most use from the hammock, enjoying the desert night air under a full moon. Breakfast/dinner service was excellent. Be aware the there's little close by and once you're on-site, you're there so brings any snacks you'll want. In all: very recommended!

We understand it’s camping experience but the bubbles are rundown they need major renovations! The food buffet was mediocre, no alcohols, no pool, no fire pits, no hammock, no jaccuzi. It’s seems like they don’t want to spend the money to make it nicer even though they have potencial to make it beautiful.
I would stay in another next time.

Couldnt fault anything about this place. The communication was clear and concise as soon as i booked. You check in at the visitor centre first and its a 10 min drive to the self-parking location. From there, they drive you into the desert (every hour, on the hour). The location of the bubble hotel is peaceful and away from others. Very clean, great food and the staff were so kind and well spoken. The best part was the star gazing experience, highly recommend! You definitely get what you pay for, very happy with everything.

Stay was good, however communication with hotel before was terrible, I messaged about food (as I’m vegetarian ) and about tours and they never replied, I then booked outside and the hotel asked why I didn’t book with them.

Wonderful experience- sunset jeep tour , stargazing and balloon ride all amazing- -dinner buffer was bountiful and food incredible - bubble gets cold at nite since it continuously draws in cold air - and those fuzzy robes to keep you warm- well they gave us intense
itching and rash!! Otherwise the entire staff was so attentive and caring- thanks!!

Great property, great people. The shower is as good as you can get for being in the middle of the desert. Don’t expect to have a hotel shower. But the A/C is wonderful and the service is really good as well. The only thing I would have liked is if you could request a telescope, but the only way to use it is through the star gazing tour which is about 20 JOD. We arrived after it began so we couldn’t use it. Not a big deal though, the stars speak for themselves.

We loved our stayed here!
The buffet food was fantastic with lots of choice and good, traditional Jordanian food. There was a lot of vegetarian choice too.
The bed was large and comfy and we loved using the double hammock on our terrace and staring out at the stars.
The staff were super helpful and helped us to book a couple of trips including a hot air balloon trip.

The room was quite nice for being a tent. Comfortable bed and bathroom facilities were surprisingly fine (note no door on the toilet). Food is terrible though and you have no other option. They make it sound like there are many tour options - really just three things to do, all of which can be done in one day (jeep tour, camel and stargazing). Misleading information about activities.

They could offer unlimited water since you are in the desert. They only gave us two small bottles and then charged triple price for another bottle. The stargazing activity was amazing and worth the price. The property staff were helpful. The room and furniture were outdated. The roof was covered with a metal plate so you could not even see the stars at night. The water in the room was not working for about an hour and required me to call the front desk multiple times. Nice place but not worth the price I am sure there are better experiences in wadi rum. I expected more.

Tourists who book the hotel shouldnt be threatened and badgered into taking tours or doing activities with them. If they want business, they should earn it

Location is beautiful and it is the same for all other camps.

I had a negative experience for few reasons.

Staff is not friendly towards women. The Air conditioner does NOT work great during the day. Outside of my room was actually cooler and it was 90 degrees. It is only good when the sun goes down which doesn’t happen until 7pm
The biggest problem with me is the food. It isn’t good and they don’t cover the food and there are flies everywhere in the food area. I had a hard time eating there!

I knew that I was staying in a camp and I wasn’t expecting much. But flies on the food? Disgusting

I wasn’t expecting StRegis but for the price they under delivered. This was not going to be the problem for the bad review. Dinner/breakfast were ok given it’s in the middle of nowhere. They have one piece of land, 2 properties and 2 golf carts…. The problem? EVERYONE needs a ride to get to rooms so a ride takes a long time/. I suggested bikes for guests because it’s ridiculous to wait if you just want to run to room and get something…. You can’t. Anyway, my phone didn’t work so I could not even call a ride. I said no problem but the reception lady promised someone to go check. No one showed up. I saw a guest in the am in her bubble patio and I asked her to call for a ride for me. Anyway, when checking out they said I owed 12JOD. I asked what for and they said for a Pelegrino which I said ok the 2 JOD but the other 10 JOD was for SITTING AT THE CAFE to watch tv drinking the water I paid for. No no no. They give q paper when you check in they say all rules, price for losing key, price for this, rule for that and the times the cafe is open but nowhere they mention a charge. If I paid for the stay of course I can afford the 10 JOD but it’s $15 to sit and watch tv? No this is ridiculous and they deserve a 0. This is definitely greediness at its finest. And to finish it off there was no room in the shuttle to add 2 more people and they took 10min trying to ask guests to put other people on their laps?! A joke. Overpriced, dirty and lacking in love.

We stayed here as a celebration. The title does not lead the camp to be as glorious as it once was. The tent was dirty. There was so much dust around that you could not see though rendering the whole experience very pointless and over priced. The material items in the room were marked… for the innocent ones, let’s call it marked with ‘toothpaste’ we arrived in a what looked like dump site and waited nearly an hour for the jeep to arrive when he did he launched our bags into the jeep. We then we’re told to take the bags into the room despite waiting another 30 min for a golf cart to arrive. The staff showed zero passion and simple went through the motions. The food was good but again the hotel is dry which was not advertised. And very expensive for any drinks.

They advertise free entertainment but it isn’t… it’s just the staff dancing every 30min. Everyone went to bed straight after dinner. There were dogs barking all night.

Short but great stay - highly recommend!

We had the pleasure of spending just one night at Wadi Rum UFO Luxotel -- the staff is very kind and helpful and the Hotel is one of a kind.

From the food, to the activities, to the outdoor set up to view stars and smoke some shisha in the desert, we loved every moment.

I would suggest saving yourself the headache of booking activities from third party vendors, and rather book them directly with the hotel upon arrival. They are incredibly flexible and are able to accommodate desert drives, camel rides, etc. We checked in the night before and the next morning (without a reservation for this activity) were able to get out into the desert for a two hour ride with Ahmed within a 20 min notice. The staff is incredibly kind --- Ma'aab (sorry if I have mistaken spelling here) is great at reception and able to sort out any needs.

My wife and I will certainly be back at this unique property, and for more days next time.

So I did not have the best experience here at UFO campsite but there was some pros I want to list.

-Clean and decent rooms
-Dinner buffet was excellent, realy tasty
-The views were stunning

Cons

-Did not properly list where their welcome centre is and Google maps took us off road (we had a 4x4). Ended up getting car stuck and if they stated the Google maps is wrong, we would not had an hour long issue.

-The booking stated check-in was 2pm so we timed to arrive around 1 so we can do some activities around Wadi Rum. They said the check-in was changed to 3pm, and I said I never recieved any messages about that, and theys said it was 4 days ago. You can't change times and not tell us. Didn't check in until almost 3, an hour late and two hours waiting there.

-We called for our bags as our tent was about a 10 minute walk with our bags. Took them over 25 mins and we ended up walking. Lept saying they are coming righ now.

-Loud music was playing until 1030 from their hangout area. We were over 700m away and could hear the bass and could not sleep. Had to call and complain. For those who wanted to get up early, this would be annoying to sleep.

Our stay at the UFO Luxotel in Wadi Rum was very good. This is truly a unique experience for a visit to the remote desert and will certainly stand out as a fond memory for us.

Everything was well thought out and the facilities were awesome considering the location. The room itself was extremely clean, comfortable and offered adequate heating for the cooler time of year. I was expecting the included breakfast and dinner to be adequate but I would say that the quality of the food available was very good. Both included meals are buffet style but the food is fresh and if you are staying multiple nights, you will find that there is a nice variety in the options available. My wife and I are vegan and were satisfied with the number of options available to accommodate our dietary needs.

The camp offers 4WD desert tours and 1 hour camel rides which can also be taken directly from the main lobby check in tent. My only suggestion for the management is to offer a more reasonable/included shuttle service to the Wadi Rum village/main entrance to the park. The 20 JD additional fee from the drop off lot seemed a little high and it would be an appreciated service for guests of the luxury camp.

You will love to stay at this place, the views are incredible and it offers a great chance to unwind and spend quality time with your loved one.

UFO Luxotel was interesting hotel and concept set in a perfect spot in Wadi Rum.Had a terrible situation with the 'manager' of the place. Twice he tried to butt into situations , and instead of helping the situation, worsened it, by saying stupid and silly things which upset me and my partner.The first problem was over an order of sandwich which took 25 mins to deliver after informing them that we are late for the tour away. The food was late and came on a plate not for away.I complained about this and this 'manager came up to me and said it was because it was not allowed to take food into the desert. To which i replied ok but this was not communicated by the staff who took the order and also does not resolve the problem of the delay in the sandwich.Second incident was during check out;The rooms are spread out in a vast area and not suitable if you cannot walk too far. I have a crutch due to a foot injury and was having some inconvenience, but this is not the problem. When we were checking out, a buggy was asked via telephone to come to pick us. after 20 mins we walked to the reception instead. We complained about the buggy not turning up and the 'manager' of the place asked if we actually called for the buggy. he might as well said that we were lying about the fact. Infuriated we asked for his name and he said he had no name!! If not for the bad attitude and behavior of this one individual, stay would have been v good. Shame.
