Staying at Rum Bubble Luxotel was truly an out-of-this-world experience. From start to finish, the staff made everything seamless. We were picked up at a nearby gas station, and they drove us with all our luggage into the desert by jeep (about a 15-minute ride). Upon arrival, check-in was smooth, and staff kindly helped transport our bags to our bubble via golf cart.

We arrived around 5 pm, so the bubble’s covers were open, and we could see straight through — absolutely magical. After freshening up, we joined the 4x4 jeep tour organized by the hotel. At only 35 JD per jeep (not per person), it was a fantastic deal. Watching the sunset across the desert and visiting filming locations for famous movies was unforgettable.

Back at camp, we enjoyed a buffet-style dinner. The food was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. Later that night, I did the sky tour (20 JD) and loved getting the chance to use a telescope to view the incredible night sky — such a unique highlight.

Our bubble itself was spotless. The bed was very clean and comfortable, and the shower facilities were also clean, though some of the flooring and robes felt a little outdated. Still, this didn’t take away from the overall experience.

The next morning, breakfast was also served buffet-style, offering a good variety to start the day. Overall, Rum Bubble Luxotel gave me a magical desert stay filled with comfort, adventure, and hospitality. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a once-

It was a unique experience. I enjoyed the Camel ride at Sunset it was beautiful. The guide was so kind being 80 years old it was challenging but I felt safe. The food was high quality with many options. The bubble room was not up to what I saw online I was disappointed. The air conditioning couldn’t keep up and one day we all had to spend the day in the reception area. The nights were comfortable. One day would have been perfect unless you like to hike and climb the rocks.

Not as good as expected

Good things - cool place to stay, the bubble tents offer a great view of stars over night. The waiting staff in the restaurant were very good. Comfy bed.

The rest - if you’re expecting something ‘lux’ don’t book. The place was probably nice when it was new but it’s very tatty now, rooms are very worn in. Service is not great. The shuttle bus driver fell asleep at the time of the shuttle and no one could contact him meaning we were late for our tour. The hammock was missing and took a couple of hours for someone to sort out. The jets only worked on half of the jacuzzi.

The room is smaller than expected and have a lot of areas need maintenance, the view is great but need to be a bit careful as some area like living & on your way to bathroom could be very transparent to people outside as well.

A memorable experience

The camp has Luxotel and UFO Bubble tents right beside one another. The Luxotel has the clear domes in the sitting room and bedroom to see the night stars. These domes are covered during the day. The UFO bubble is just the hotel room with a clear opening in front of the bedroom. The dining room building is between each of these camps. The dinner and breakfast has a good selection. You can arrange a 4x4 sunset desert tour once you check in. And I highly recommend the sunrise hot air balloon with Wadi Rum Desert Eyes! It was the highlight of our trip

Loved this hotel and are already planning our hotel. The jacuzzi and rain forest showers were fabulous, and obviously the gorgeous views everywhere, day and night. Our family loved the jeep tour too. 10/10 recommend!

This was just amazing, the bubbles leave you a beautiful night sky view, which is pretty much unparalleled to anything else I’ve seen. The closest thing I can compare to, is the view that a car with sunroof can afford with a night sky. Just amazing. Good breakfast and even better dinner options

Oh dear… Where to begin. I think at one time this camp was grand but it is in serious despair. The tents are torn, the towels are stained, the robes are in bits, the hot tub smells awful. We showed up with a baby and check-in was a mess. No one seemed to be in charge and no one walked us through the grounds/options etc. It was like a free for all. When they brought us to our room it was maybe 105 in the tent. We had a baby and this just isn’t safe. They didn’t turn on the ac and we had To wait another hour before we could enter. The shuttle leaves whenever and the staff cannot control it. It needs some serious management and a remodel. Sadly, I cannot recommend.

Cannot recommend highly enough- worth the extra money when compared to the other options. Completely isolated, the bubbles were spacious with great views and the hot tub was awesome! Food options were good. Only complaint was I received no communication from property regarding how to get there until after my stay was already completed. I ultimately found it on their website, but this should have been made clear upfront as you can’t just drive there.

This was such a cool stay! The Bubble hotels were beautiful. The staff was nice and the food was great! I saw reviews complaining about the hot water and WiFi. We were told upon check in that the WiFi only works well in the reception/lobby/ dining area- although I still had some service in my bubble. Also, I had no issues with the hot water! Yes, there is cold air in certain parts of the bubble but you would expect that seeing that you are in a bubble! The heat was sufficient and I was very warm in during the winter months. Book this for a great experience!

Booked a one night stay at this hotel and it is NOT CHEAP to stay here. When checking in, they wanted to give me a twin bedroom when I specifically booked a king bedroom via Expedia. They ended up giving me a king bedroom but the bubble room they gave me was dirty and a lot of the bubble were taped up. I wanted to take some nice photos but couldn’t even do that because of how ugly it looks. I didn’t think it was a big deal at first but when I walked around the property, the other bubble rooms were much cleaner and didn’t have any areas taped up like mine. There goes that experience for staying here. Left with dirty bubble pictures and videos of an taped up bubble.

Now the day of checking out - they told us to be at the reception for the 12p shuttle bus to bring us back to their parking lot. We got there at 11:50a, checked out and waited. They told us to come outside just for us to find out they couldn’t fit us in their Jeep because they also had other people in there already. No communication with the staff about what is happening, but somehow they let other people got in the jeep before us and left us waiting outside in the cold. Finally, they told us that they got us another car and it’s on its way. 20 min has passed, car still didn’t come.

The driver who drove the first group of people came back and was shocked to still see us waiting outside in the cold. Thank god he decided to drive us. Will never spend my money here or recommend any of my friends to stay here.

We stayed there for one night. It was a real astonishing experience to sleep in a bubble under the Moonlight and under the stars. It's first time in my life to do something like that. The bubble was clean and well organized, the staff were very friendly, the dinner was great and much better than the breakfast.
I will absolutely stay there again.

The Bubble Luxotel was the perfect accommodation for the desert if you are not up for staying in a Bedouin camp.

Pros: The rooms were quite nice as far as vinyl bubbles go (or so I imagine), the beds were legit, shower did the trick, and laying on the hammock outside the bubble to gaze up at the stars was quite nice.

Cons: buffet dinner and breakfast were both really underwhelming, and there’s a decent amount of light pollution around or from the bubble hotel itself, so you don’t get the darkest of skies for stargazing (not really sure if you get that from camps within Wadi Rum either).

We really debated between staying in a bubble hotel vs with a Bedouin camp. In the end, as this was the last night of our trip before lengthy travel home, we decided a good bed and a shower were the most important things to us in choosing the night’s accommodation. In sum, if you - like us - are debating between bubble or camp, I’d suggest bubble if your top priority is a comfort. If great local food and stumbling out of your tent into a wilderness of stars is more important to you, I’d lean toward trying a camp (we didn’t go with this option can’t speak authoritatively on this).

Where else can you sleep under the stars but still be out of the elements. The property was amazing, the staff was bend over backwards helpful and the food was delicious. The hotels nighttime stargazing was a highlight of our stay. The additional tour options were also fun and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again

It is more than I ever wanted, a peaceful zen place, best thing is that they turn off all the lights at night so I was able to stargaze, when it got colder I was still able to stargaze from the bed , this camp is to die for

The resort its self was wonderful. Beautiful setting with clean grounds and the bubble tents were an amazing experience.
Unfortunately we found the front desk not very clear on outings and what trips we could book. It was more than disappointing and in the end we drove to the wadi rum visitor’s Center for information.
We did book a sunset trip in the back of a truck through the resort and it was everything we had hoped for. I just wish we would have known beforehand exactly where we would visit and what to expect.

We spent two nights here as a family of six and enjoyed our stay. The included breakfast and dinner offered lots of great food. We also enjoyed the hot tubs (which is one of the reasons we chose this place). The heat was great which is important in the winter! It's definitely pricey, but that's part of staying in Wadi Rum and worth the experience. My only complaint is that they spread our rooms out from one end of the site to the other, so we were far from our kids.

The overall experience of staying overnight in the desert is wonderful. The atmosphere, the staff and service are great. Very little to no light pollution so you’re able to see the sky very clearly, and an option to sky gaze at night was a memorable experience. With kids or just your spouse, you can enjoy a very quiet and relaxing vacation with quite a few activities. :)

Great experience and great place. The staff were very good. Food, location, tours and bubbles themselves, all quality. One issue we did have was when we asked for a driver to pick us up from the airport, we were told this would be 60JD but when the driver messaged us he asked for passport details and an additional 30JD, which we were not told about. This was for the manifest for the driver to safely pick us up (legal requirement) but the hotel were not great at communicating this to us. All good after a bit of research and that was the only issue during our stay!
