We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Booked because it was a reasonable price. The hotel maintenance can use an upgrade. Seems like they don’t pay attention to details. The property needs some upgrades. I am not talking about luxury, I’m more concerned with cleanliness and upkeep. Some of the outlets weren’t working and room needed a deep clean. Yes, the bed was clean and the bathroom and run in general. The closet door was dirty and broken, the blinds and curtains needed a deep clean. The bathroom sink doors and drawers weren’t clean. So if you’re high maintenance, you may not be very happy. The parking lot was well lit and plenty of parking. The air conditioning was working great. The water pressure and temperature in the shower was awesome. The front desk is pretty close to rooms, so getting access to them is no problem. The pool was nice and clean.

The bathroom light didn't turn on, and when I reported it, I was treated terribly, told it was a maintenance issue and I had to live with it. There were no towels in the room, and when I went to ask for them, they refused to give them to me. The laundry room wasn't working; the ice was closed. A terrible experience.

They discontinued the morning breakfast, there was a hole in the bathroom wall, the coffee in the front was cold. The beds were nice and the TV jumped channels and had a failing picture. I won't return

I wish I could give 0 stars. Upon arrival the person checking me in was extremely rude and was making fun of my name which was really weird. When he gave me my room information he read it out loud while there were other people in the lobby which made me feel unsafe to begin with. I arrived really late at night, because I was traveling to take my sons to Primary Childrens Hospital the next day. When I got in the room I noticed hair on the pillows, stains and cigarette burns on the blankets. It was already so late at night and my kids were tired so I just sprayed everything down with lysol. The next day after we got back to the room from my sons appointments at the children's hospital, I started noticing more and more how truly disgusting and filthy the room was. The linens, the bedding, the floors, the baghroom all so absolutely disgusting. After I noticed the bottoms of my sons feel were black from just walking on the floor that was the last straw. I packed all of our stuff and notified expedia, and tried to find a new hotel. The property is disgusting, all of the staff is extremely rude and theyre all up in people's reviews saying they care when they don't. Im sure they'd quit getting so many demands for refunds if they just properly cleaned the rooms at the very least. I didn't even complete my stay I could not stay there with my young kids for a minute longer. None of the \"amenities\" they say they have were available

By mistake I booked a single king for a 4 night stay when I actually needed a 2 bed. The first night my friend and I had to stay in the single bed, the manager the next morning switched us to a nicer room, that had a higher rate, with 2 beds for no charge. It’s a budget hotel with a lot of residents seeming to be long term/weekly renters but my experience was comfortable beds, fridge/microwave, good working AC and generally peaceful and quiet environment. I’ve stayed in a lot of inexpensive budget motels before and sometimes it’s luck of the draw but for the rate I received, the room and hospitality was a good value. Also very close to Midvale train station, 1 block walk about 2 minutes. Made getting to the festival in SLC state fairground very easy. Also a really good diner next door. Awesome breakfast(dinner menu looked good too but only went in the morning) and they share a parking lot. So all in all very convenient location for travelers especially if on a budget.

Front desk staff extremely impolite. Without greeting, first word was “ID”.

After 5min working in his own, no communication, we were waiting quietly. Suddenly he threw my ID card to the air and landed somewhere on the counter, without saying a word. Totally unacceptable!

The check-in process was quick and easy and he was very friendly however, when I got in my room, the TV didn’t work, later that evening I realized there were no towels in the room, except for a single hand towel by the sink when I asked the front desk person for some towels. I was informed that he was unable to get them and I had to wait for housekeeping however, when I asked in the morning, once housekeeping had arrived, the front desk person showed me where the towels had been the night before and said housekeeping has them all you have to go track them down meaning the man just didn’t feel like getting up to get me a towel from 7 feet away from where he was sitting…

The stay was extremely disappointing.

At check-in, the employee was rude and unprofessional. He barely acknowledged me, seemed annoyed I interrupted him, and asked confusing questions instead of basic ones like my name. I had booked two beds, yet he repeatedly questioned it and acted frustrated. He also charged a higher pet fee than what was listed online.

Later that night, we asked for an extra blanket and pillow. We were told to come back at 11 PM, and when we did, staff argued over who would help us. They said no extra pillows, and when we asked about a blanket, one replied, “you know you can just turn the heater up.” That was dismissive—we weren’t cold, we just needed a blanket. They said they’d bring one, but never did. By midnight, we gave up, and I ended up sleeping with just a sheet.

The staff were also openly complaining about other guests, which felt very unprofessional.

The room had a strong chemical smell that triggered my asthma, and I developed hives after being in the bed, likely from the detergent.

Overall, I would not recommend this property and would not stay here again.

This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed! Super sketchy! There wasn’t even a blanket. Just a sheet and a bedspread with multiple burn holes in it. There wasn’t a full set of towels, but that was okay because I didn’t want to use the shower. Couldn’t wait to leave.

Roaches. Smelled bad. as someone with prior exposure to drugs. It was the smell of amphetamines.... The fridge wasnt clean or turned on. The table was covered in some sort of epoxy. The towel hanger by the vanity was off the wall. the linens had stains from not being cleaned. The gate to get into parking got stuck. And the door dousnt have a dead lock on it. Sovanyone with a key or encoder can just walk in whenever they want. The guy at the front dest was nice though. Even though expedia said no deposit, he required one anyways. Though i didnt have to pay much for the room. There is a sleep in for $10 more a night that is 10x better just a few miles away. Im never stay there again and do not recommend. I have 3 years hospitality experience and am a 7 year carpenter foreman. With 2 more years past remodel experience. That place shoud be gutted entirely. Otherwise it will be condemned very soon. Suprise it hasnt been already.

My first stay I was in a double queen room and did not have a microwave in my room. The sheets had some mild staining on them and the floor turned my socks dark from being dirty. When I brought the no microwave issue to the front desk I was told maintenance would bring one. When I checked with the front desk again later I was told to use the microwave in the lobby and that maintenance was not coming. My second stay I had a single king bed. The room was in the same sub-par condition, but at least had a microwave this time.

You are immediately aware you are staying at a “budget” hotel upon pulling into the parking lot and seeing your room for the first time.

Pros: Cheap rates
Cons: You get what you paid for!

For what you pay it was fine, but the bed was hands down the worst thing I’ve ever slept on. There was a half inch of padding and then felt as though you were sleeping on a slab of wood.

The staff was fine, though the gentleman behind the counter got two phone calls and was extremely rude to the people.

For $60 I can’t complain much though.

this is the third time we hae stayed there when visiting our daughter. because of husbands disabliity we have been able to get the same room right nest to the office. the staff has been very friendly and professional to deal with. I love the fact that the Miner's Cafe is right next door with wonderful food and great prices. we really enjoy our stays here and will probably be back next time we're in town.

The stay there started when we walked into a room and my shoes were sticking to the floor, the mold on the bathroom ceiling left little to be desired as well as feeling unsafe to walk anywhere without footwear, the heater did not work, the TV did not work and when I went to ask for another possible room, there was no one to answer my phone call by calling either from the room phone or my personal cell phone, no one was in the office, the after hours call button left unanswered. I have requested a refund through them but would also like a discount code for the inconvenience.

If you’re unfamiliar with the area…it’s sketchy. Worst part though was the amount of ROACHES!! I opened the door and saw easily 20 live ones running across the floor. Several dead on the wall. It was a non smoking room but the smoke detector was removed from the ceiling? There were over a dozen cigarette burns in the bedding. And the TV didn’t work…I couldn't stay and ended up leaving. Charging anything over $20 a night would be a ripoff. Eww. Just eww.

I arrived after hours and followed the instructions to ring the bell for service, but no one responded for a long time. I kept trying until I finally decided to call the hotel, and only after the third call did someone answer and come to open the door. The man in charge was clearly upset for being woken up and showed no customer service skills at all.

Honestly, I shouldn’t have to apologize for waking up hotel staff when I’m just trying to check in — that’s part of the service. He was rude, made faces, and seemed very annoyed. Definitely not the kind of welcome a guest expects when arriving at a hotel

This hotel was COMPLETELY misrepresented by the images AND the amenities on the website! When I opened the door to my room there was a puddle of water on the floor, tried to get a new room and the other two he checked also had puddles of water on the floor; no hand towels, one wash cloth for 2 person reservation, no toilet paper holder, cracked bathroom sink, closet with no hangers, LOTS of foot traffic in the parking lot throughout the night, people in the room above us and around us up all moving around, and a general EXTREMELY rundown property! This is an unsafe, unsanitary, rundown property in a very bad area of town. DO NOT STAY HERE! Hotels dot com- shame on you for not doing your homework and even having this property on your booking site…it doesn’t reflect well on your business and makes me NEVER want to use your site again!

The building is old and in need of renovation. Not very well maintained. Bed had metal enclosure around bottom and every time you move it would flex and sound like a gong being struck. The room was a king bed room and there was one bath towel for two people so I had to go ask for a second towel. The ice machine was out of ice. I wouldn’t stay here again.
