A swanky hotel in the heart of Sapporo. The bed and room are clean and comfy, and they have a café for guests if you're looking for some light dinner or drinks. A fantastic location for the hotel too, with a Donquijote right across the street, malls just steps away, and a short walk to Susukino for some eats and drinks.

Convenient location for shopping and dining as the hotel is on the main shopping street and accessible via the underground mall (Pole town). Easy access to Susukino and Odori stations and to the streetcar. Bus options are available and there is a taxi stand across the road too. Walkable to attractions in the city such as Nijo market, Odori Park, Sapporo clock tower, and Sapporo TV tower. Room was clean and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Guests were also given 3 Knot coins per guest per day and you can use it to redeem drinks, snacks and dessert at the restaurant at level 2.

Great hotel

Had a lovely time in The Knot for our first time in Sapporo. Location is really good. Everything is just doenstairs and walking distance. Loved the coins during our stay which we were able to exchange for free meals. My husband was able to try japanese whiskey with the coins.

Extremely convenient location with direct access to the underground walkway and shops. Susukino district is only a couple of blocks away with some amazing eateries. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful in holding our luggage for a couple of days as we did some out of town trips here and there.

I'm a fan of Japanese spa and there was a good one not too far from this hotel, literally in the heart of the city with all shops and restaurants around the hotel within walking distance. There's a mega Don Quijote shop literally opposite the hotel which is a bonus, as well as a Doutor (very nice coffee shop) literally downstairs.

The room was excellent and the cleanest I've experienced in Japan, which has high cleaning standards.

The Knot was perfect, I'll remember for next time I visit Sapporo, since I loved it.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. If you want to explore downtown Sapporo, then this hotel is right in it and very near to all of the malls and shopping streets. There are many restaurants to choose from on the area as well. There is even an access to the hotel straight from the underground mall which also connects you to both either susukino subway station or odori subway station. This makes it easy for you to go around even when it's raining or snowing outside.

One thing to note on the hotel is that full cleaning is only available for long stayers. We only got 1 full day cleaning during our 7 days stay. For other days you only get change of towels and trash pickup.

highly unpleasant experience at The Knot Sapporo at midnight on our first night. There was a suspicious gas leakage incident, with at least 20 firefighters in the hotel. The hotel did not properly handle the guests' safety.
The hotel left all the non-Japanese speaking guests very miserable and put us in a dangerous situation. There was no communication with the guests.

I was in the hotel when an evacuation order was given / I speak English / the announcement was in Japanese - it was around 3am - went to door realising something was wrong / some other people were using the lift and signalled me to come - thanks to them - no staff - firemen everywhere - turned out to be a gas leak -
We stood in cold for some time / maybe an English announcement would have been good -
Hotel is in good position - entry to tunnel walkway -
Hotel works on weird system of giving “free tokens- but then charges you to go in to have a meal —-
Housekeeping done once during stay - towel given fresh each day ?
Biggest problem is the lift - only 2 of not large size - and hotel has 12 floors / very very slow- housekeeping has to use one of these lifts -
Good position but not other things - would not use this hotel in the future.

The knot is a modern hotel with great staff to greet you at the 2nd level lobby. The location is superb with underground access to Susukino station. Tanukikoji shopping street is close by. Mega Don Quijote is opposite and the bus to airport is 2 mins walk. Lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. Odori park is 10 mins walk and Sapporo station is 20 mins walk. Each day 3 knot coins were given to a traveler and the coins can be exchanged to food and drinks at the hotel lounge from 4-11pm. We accumulated all the coins and exchanged 2 main courses, 1 nacho and drinks. The main course changes daily and we had Hokkaido beef cooked in wine sauce on top of mash potatoes. I recommend this hotel to other travelers. The superior twin room is spacious compared to standard twin room. I’ll will stay at the Knot again when I am in Sapporo.

Lovely hotel directly connected to the indoor shopping mall/underground passage which is great given the snow/slush/ice covered sidewalks in Sapporo in March. My room was quiet and comfortable. I wish there were coffee/tea mugs to use with the hot pot and maybe a tea bag or two. The system of giving out club coins to use at the bar is silly and annoying. I did not use mine… amongst other things the picture of the free snacks suggested I would not be able to eat them because of lactose intolerance. If you want to attract people to the happy hour just put out some snacks people can help themselves to if they order a drink. Or serve a snack with each drink ordered. That works around the world. Overall I would stay at the knot again because it is a nice hotel in a good location with polite kind staff members. The staff at the front desk are professional and polite.

스스키노역 근처라 위치 접근성은 최고입니다. 체크인-아웃, 특히 체크아웃을 Self로 바로 진행할수도 있어서 편했어요. (엘레베이터 통에 카드키 수납있음) 조식은 호불호가 있을 것 같아요. 일본가정식 처럼 나오는데 뷔페식이 좋다면 조식은 고민해보시는게 좋을 것 같습니다. 그 외 전자렌지도 있고, 편의품들도 2층에서 가지고 갈 수 있어서 좋았어요! 2층 라운지는 조용한 바 분위기보다는 조금 시끄러운 펍?느낌에 가까웠습니다 ㅎ

It was a nice spot. We were there for four nights during the 2024 Sapporo Snow Festival. It was super convenient for both the snow sculptures and the ice sculptures are just across the street. So many restaurants and shopping right in the area. The staff were so helpful with dining recommendations and making reservations for us. Would definitely stay here again.

Centrally located next to Tanukikoji. Good for shopping and night life. The basement of the hotel has a door open to the underground shopping walkway that leads to JR Sapporo station. So it’s possible to walk all the way from JR Sapporo station to the hotel entirely underground. It’s a big plus during harsh winter conditions. The downside is that the room is quite small and the restaurant had limited menu and the breakfast is set menu.

Very convenient location where Don Quixote was just across the street! Lots of food options nearby down the Tanukikoji street or further up from Susukino station as well :) Rooms were clean, toilet had a bit of smell somehow but bearable and didn’t affect the room itself nor quality of stay. Knot coins was an interesting concept and effort to gamify stay though a little complicated when you stay multiple nights and get many coins. Navigation wise, at times when you have luggage, instead of taking exit 1 from Susikino Station per google maps where you have to climb the stairs, walk the underground shopping street and get out from one of the escalators which points you to Tanukikoji 狸小路 exit. You’ll either be on the same side as the hotel or right at Don Quixote just across The Knot.

This property was wonderfully convenient. It was in the heart of Sapporo, close to Mitsukoshi and many shopping options, including Tanukikoji Shopping Street, which was right across the street. There was only one restaurant in this comparatively small hotel, and the rooms were a little tight, but it was new, clean, and nicely furnished. The staff had limited English, but they were very helpful and polite.

The hotel was clean & well-appointment. The service was lackluster and a bit strange. Guest services we’re located at the hotel bar. At check-in, they gave us hotel coins to use for a complimentary dessert. They were really required to enter the bar area. As a hotel guest who had travelling for 20 hours, all I wanted was a quiet drink with friends in our hotel bar. We could not get service and left to seek out other options.

The room was very clean, comfortable, and a good size. There was plenty of furniture and the bathroom was big, and very clean. Too often I don't want to use the bath because it looks dirty, but this property is clean and modern. The room had a big window, and showed a side street view.
My room had a mini fridge, a nice sized tv, humidifier/dehumidifier, and strong wifi. The lobby is very cool and modern looking, and there is a restaurant there, but I didn't try the food.
The tram stop is 10m from the building, and a convenience store is next door. This building is within easy walking distance of shopping, dining, entertainment, Odori park, the train station, and many other places you might wish to go.
