The location is amazing right next to Odori park and the station. Lots of food spots and shopping malls near by. Staff was friendly and felt very clean! My only issue was the WiFi would always go in and out and that made checking my phone to look at where I want to eat or plan while I recharge super difficult and took way more time than it should have for me to plan out something. I would definitely come back stay again really loved the location and room!

Amazing location and view of the tower! This is the nicest hotel I've been to thus far with its posh lounge and clean, modern, and updated rooms. We thought the rooms were spacious enough that we could completely open our luggage and still have room to walk around.

The staff were a gem and very helpful everytime we needed them. The check-in/out process was simple; even my parents who are not good with technology were able to do it themselves. My dad loved the breakfast menu so we ended up going twice during our stay.

It was quite nice the hotel provided 500 yen vouchers to use for the lounge or breakfast every day you forego room cleaning; I haven't seen done before in any hotels I've stayed in. Our only regret was not having enough time to go to the rooftop view of the tower because the beds were so comfortable.

This location was walkable to most places and a few blocks away from the busy tourist areas so you are close to everything but don’t have to feel like you are in the thick of things.

Subway station exit is just next door and the mall right beside us has a great bakery.

Breakfast is 2600 yen if you buy the day of. it was made freah daily with access to the buffet of salad, rice, sausage, bacon, salmon, grilled vegetables, baked goods and drinks. it may sound steep but my friend and I filled up and were good for the day. only needing something light for lunch. Taking into account what coffee costs at cafes, we felt it qas great value. Staff are super friendly and helpful too. Room is typical Japanese sized room. it was nice to be able to put our luggage under the beds.

Waking up to a direct view of the Sapporo TV Tower is a real highlight of this stay. The hotel is also conveniently located just steps from an underground passageway, making it easy to get around. Breakfast has a fair variety of options. While the room feels a bit tight for a family, the addition of a bathtub is a thoughtful feature that elevates the overall experience. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

First I would love to say, “Thank you so much to Mr. Jaemin Jeong” He was so helpful and the most wonderful hotel receptionist we ever met. My husband lost his phone on our first Sapporo trip, and we didn’t know how to find it in a foreign country. We were in a panic. We needed someone who we could talk to about our situation and think of something we could do. We gave a try asking our hotel receptionist for help. That was Mr. Jaemin Jeong.
He tried to help us every single way he could think of under hotel employee rules. It’s too long to write the whole story. Anyway, we found my husband’s phone. Yay!! Mr. Jaemin Jeong‘s help was BIG part of it. Thank you so so much!!

Now it’s about the Royal Park Canvas-Sapporo Odori Park. The hotel is very clean and well modernly designed throughout the building. We especially love the turntable in our room with jazz records. The lounge area is like a jazz bar that you want to hang out at. All staffs are very friendly. I recommend this hotel 100%

This was a very clean property with comfortable beds in an amazing location in Sapporo.

There should be nothing that surprises you about this hotel, size of the rooms, amenities are all listed everywhere on websites and reviews.

Breakfast was the same every morning but it was delicious.

Overall stay was great and would definitely consider again when I visit Sapporo.

It’s fine. Good location (hence the price).
The jazz was a nice touch.
But the bar was disappointing. It’s not a real bar.
They don’t know how to make the classic cocktails. Just a weird “cocktail menu”.
And the ostentatiously displayed wine collection?
There was no wine list for it. The staff didn’t know what was there or how to find anything. I had to rummage around in the wine storage units to find a (good) bottle they didn’t even know was there.
That was vaguely amusing, but the image (classy & impressive) didn’t match the reality (Inspector Clouseau as bartender and sommelier).
Nice try, but the sophisticated jazz and cocktails theme needs work.
Oh, and put some drawers in the rooms.
At this price I’d really rather not be living out of my suitcase.

This is was one of the coziest , most unique places I’ve ever stayed at. I didn’t realize until the last day that we didn’t have a TV. So much little things at this hotel along with its perfect location that make it crazy good. The only thing that would’ve made it perfect is the breakfast was the same everyday. Wish they had more options , however it was high quality and you had so many options outside that I see why they chose to focus on few good quality great food. Also have a night bar that was amazing. Great setup and don’t want to try any other hotel.

Where do I even start?
We had a 12-day vacation in Japan. Started in Tokyo (exceptional service and place), then to Kyoto (Magnificent), then to Sapporo, to see the winter snow statues.

The hotel in Sapporo, though, as they advertise, being a new hotel, is actually very minimalistic. There is nothing wrong with minimalistic, but it would be nice to know details prior to arrival.

Room - extremely tiny.
No TV - though we had no problem with that as they use a record player to substitute.

NO water bottles in the room as you have to go to the 2nd floor to request.

No toiletries - same process - have to go to the 2nd floor.

Coffee ?? - NO coffee, but there is tea - but you have to go to the second floor to get it.

Bed - is for people that preffer to sleep on the floor, as it is just as firm.

The restaurant has much to learn from local \"mom and pop\" restaurants for quality.

Service is beyond \"sub-par,\" especially by Japanese standards.

It was honestly a big disappointment, considering that this was the most expensive hotel during our trip, and was half \"at best\" as good as the other ones.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Royal Park Canvas at Odori Park! It was such a conveniently located hotel with so many station entrances nearby. It was also a short walk to major shopping streets in Sapporo. The rooms were very clean and quite spacious for Japan standards! We also loved the lounge and the amenities such as the coin laundry. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again at this hotel when we revisit Sapporo!

We to unfortunately cancel our trip due to a family emergency. We missed cancelling this hotel and the day of check in was charged our full stay. The hotel staff did not reply to any correspondence I sent and hotels.com staff tried to help but then advised nothing they can do. Hotel is not replying to my email at all. No reasoning or reply from the hotel at all. I understand policies but there has been no consideration of my circumstances.

Love the location, in front of Sapporo TV tower and underground Odori Park station.

Nice lobby and lounge area for hanging out by the warm fireplace.

Room quite small, be warned. We had to pay to upgrade to the suite on 11th floor because there was no way we could open our luggage and still walk around in the room.

Staff were courteous but rooms were incredibly dusty and AC filters were compacted with dust. Every time we were in the room we started getting irritated throats and flem, once we left the room for the day we were very clear. I noted our AC vents were clogged with many layers of dust. Every day we would come back i would wipe the top of my suitcases which had new layers of dust everyday we stayed there for the 7 days.

Customer service was excellent, they help us make multiple reservations. Wish they had more comfortable mattresses, my back is still killing me. The rooftop lounge had a great view but it wasn’t in used. It would have been nice to have a fire before in snowed. Another perk was the record player in the room and being able to rent records on the second floor was cool. Lately, the location was perfect, across the street Sapporo TV tower.

Not the best but fine location, and close to the exit 24, which means there aren't many difficulties even if there's a lot of snow.
The room condition is perfect and spacious.
The reception is convinient and kind.

This hotel has an outstanding central location that cannot be beaten and gorgeous, convenient amenities including a nice bar in the lobby and a rooftop deck with unbeatable views of the Sapporo TV tower.

- Subway / Aurora Town access just steps outside of hotel
- Right in front of TV tower
- 5min walk from bus stop for Airport Limousine Bus
- Right next to luxury shopping malls
- 10-15min walk to Susukino area

Amenities:
- Bathroom consumables available in lobby
- Bottled water also available at request in lobby
- Laundry and dryer machines in-house
- Ice machine
- Rooftop deck
- Refrigerator in room
- LP record player in room

The rooms are super cute with modern wood design and easy to access, spacious bathrooms. It may be tight if you have more than two suitcases but it's doable. You can choose whether you want your room made up everyday or not. The area is quiet at night and the room temperature regulates well for sleeping.

I would book this hotel again!

Room with a view of the TV tower was excellent! The fact that there is no TV but instead a record player was a nice touch; I haven’t used a record player in ages! (You can borrow a record from the lobby area). We ended up connecting to the BT speaker in the room instead.

The bathroom was large! The room was also really large as well (compared to other hotels)!

We really enjoyed the canvas rooftop area and the fire pits.

Quiet and clean hotel, with fantastic amenities, in a beautiful and convenient location.

I loved the holistic vibe of the hotel, but what I really loved was the convenient location.

It's across the street from the lovely Odori Park.

Don't worry about heat, rain or snow. The entrance to Aurora Town, an underground mall/walkway, connected to Odori subway station (access to the Tozai line, Toho line and Namboku line) is, literally, just outside the front door.

Through this underground labyrinth, you can access the subterranean avenue, Sapporo Ekimae-Dori (just follow the sign for the Namboku line). Ekimae-Dori will give you a straight shot to Sapporo Station (with JR Rail), and Daimaru department store. What's more, through the underground walkway, it's only a 10 minutes walk, instead of 15 minutes on surface streets.

The hotel is merely 4-15 minutes walk to most attractions, including Sapporo Clock Tower, Nijo Fish Market, MEGA Don Quixote, Daimaru Fuji Central (4-storey stationary store) and tons of department stores and local shopping.

Perfect for the jetlagged insomniacs, the area also hosts many eateries that are open til dawn; if not 24 hours. Within a 10 minutes walk, I had really great tonkatsu at 3:00 a.m. 4.2 stars rated ramen shop at 5:00 a.m.

The next time I'm in Sapporo, I will definitely stay at the Royal Park Canvas again. Until then, I'm really going to miss the night view of the Sapporo TV Tower, and that heated Toto bidet.
