The hotel was good. Breakfast was pretty good. They ran out of eggs while I was at breakfast, but they did fill them up. I was disappointed that the hot tub was broken. Everything was clean and tidy.

The AmericInn was wonderful. We head to Spring Green every year to American Players Theater. We’d never stayed at this place before and are glad we tried it. The pool was great; salt water pool so no chlorine. Heated perfectly. Breakfast similar to other hotels but not overcooked eggs or sausage. Rooms had been renovated. Newer beds and very comfortable. Kim was at the front desk and also did the breakfast. She made everyone feel like they were home. Engaging and nice. Will defiantly go back next year for our annual 3-night stay.

“Pet friendly” means DOGS ONLY. I booked a room and received a phone call saying cats are not allowed on the premises, despite seeking out pet friendly hotels.

Bed was uncomfortable, almost would have been better to sleep on the floor. I found a dead moth on my bed spread, the toilet wasn’t even bolted to the floor in my room. Breakfast was ok at best, sausage was barely warm along with the sausage gravy. The hallway had a musty smell as well. Overall I was pretty disappointed with my stay

We had a great experience at this hotel. Walking in the door the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was well maintained and cleaned. The air was turned on for us. Made it nice and cool when entering the room. No complaint about this hotel. Will stay again, if we decide to travel through Dodgeville again. The breakfast was great and a lot too choose from.

This hotel was perfect for us! We stayed the night before heading to House on the Rock the next morning, and it ended up being exactly what we needed. We loved having access to the hot tub and pool after a long day, and the continental breakfast the next morning was wonderful. The stay was comfortable, relaxing, and convenient. We would definitely come back again!

The room seemed clean enough until I reached out to the wall socket to plug in my charger and my fingers stuck to crud on the plug that was already there.
It’s rather dim. As an older person who is nearsighted, I prefer bright light in the room. There is only a lighted mirror at the sink. It’s fine if you’re leaning in to apply makeup but you’re dealing with a lot of shadows for other grooming, such as hair styling. An optional bulb overhead would be good.

Place was overall clean, desk clerk was very nice. They do have hard water, and the toilets could have been cleaner. There were many bugs in our room (9 ladybugs, 1 stink bug, & 1 centipede). Understanding the hotel was on the outskorts of a very small town in the farm fields, we tried to be understanding. The hallway smelled a bit dirty, as if the carpets were cleaned with already dirty water.

The breakfast was good, decent choices and plenty of room to sit. The pool area and hotel was clean, but did run out of towels two days in a row. When we asked for more, the worker jumped on ot immediately.

The morning we left, there were 3 VERY obnoxious kids not being watched by their parents. They were old enpugh to know to be quiet & respectful, but chose not to (Maybe 9-12). They were throwing food in the breakfast area, screaming, jumping & splashing in the pool, throwing ice at each other in the main hallway, and running up and down the halls racing each other at 8am. Multiple people told the worker at the desk & maintaining the breakfast, but no one did anything.

I want to say you get what you paid for. Room was clean, easy check in & out, and amenities they listed were available. Just not the best stay at an Americinn before.

I stayed here many years ago and it has actually improved since then. The facility was clean and the young fella at the front desk was very friendly. My little one enjoyed time at the pool and I liked the hot tub. There were a variety of items at breakfast. Nothing fancy, but very convenient.
I will definitely stay here again.

Great front desk.

The front desk was amazing during our 4 day stay. Kim who we nicknamed Kimpossible was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. My wife was there for an art class in Mineral Point and I had to knock around on my own for 3 days. Kim ensured I saw the best of the area. She always had a smile and friendly chat.

The breakfast was better than the other hotels we have recently stayed in.

There was wasted space in our suite that I wish they would have turned into an extra hanging clothes area. That is really the only negative about the stay.

Pros- The staff is very friendly. The rooms seemed very clean. Breakfast was a nice offer- continental style with several options. There is a fridge (no freezer) in the room as well as a microwave. I appreciated the makeup wipes. The location is very convenient for the activities we had planned for our short trip.

Cons- we picked this hotel for its proximity to nearby attractions and the fact that it had a pool. The pool and hot tub heating elements were not functioning correctly. The hot tub was about 95 degrees and pool was 72. This rendered the pool too cold for swimming, much to my kiddos disappointment.

We also requested more towels and pillows (they were weird sized squares?), which staff said they would bring. They did not bring them. Asked a second time and they were still not brought to the room.

The tv was very difficult to figure out - we had to google the remote to even learn that it was impossible to interact with the TV guide so we could not scroll and click on a show, or jump ahead to the next hour block.

Overall we would return, but definitely would keep the cons in mind for the next trip.

The room was clean, roomy and comfortable. Check-in was friendly and fast. My only complaint is that, just like so many chains of this type, as soon as we walked into the lobby we could smell curry. We were on the third floor where the curry smell was overwhelming. It is a smell that literally makes me ill. Luckily, in our room we ould not smell it.

The staff personnel were all very courteous and professional. The property was well maintained. Inside the building, it was a quiet environment, even late at night. The room was clean. The bedsheets were good quality but had a few black stains on the pillow cases, probably from previous guest’s mascara. The bathroom was very small. The toilet bowl had a yellow circle of stain. The maintenance staff could benefit from a really good laundry detergent and some toilet bowl cleaner, applied regularly. I’m not comfortable seeing evidence of previous guests’ stay still visible in my room.

Our second stay here

This hotel is located by a beautiful farm which we love looking at in the morning and evening. It is close to The House on a Rock and some cute shops and delicious restaurants. The rooms are spacious and have a table with two chairs which we appreciate because we eat our breakfast there and like to play cards. The breakfast has a nice assortment and is good quality. The only thing is the actual bathroom doesn’t have much space.

It smells so bad

It smelled so bad. The first floor area has an odor that is so pervasive that it made breakfast uncomfortable. We took some breakfast muffins with us for a walk and the smell from the first floor was infused in the food. I don’t know if they have a health code violation or what. Staff super nice but management needs to address the odor
