The staff was very helpful and friendly. They went out of the way to make sure our stay was pleasant. I would definitely stay there again. The breakfast was delicious and very well prepared. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
Angie
Room was muggy and door was a struggle to get fully closed to latch and lock. Didn’t feel comfortable with the family of employees that sat and stared as we pulled in and unloaded after checking in. We needed a budget friendly place to stop for a few hours of sleep, but did not feel safe and comfortable after checking. The bathroom door would not close either. The breakfast was old fruit, not fresh. And few options of yogurt and other small items with the family sitting and staring at the table making the uneasy feeling continue. Would not recommend stopping here.
Jennifer
Terrific little hotel for a grandma traveling alone through Athens! It’s clean and safe and plenty big enough. The family who runs it takes care of the place and the guests like we’re friends including a room on the second floor. Convenient to stores, restaurants, and the interstate.
Zakk

Room was in rough shape. Easy to see a lack of upkeep and cheap repairs. AC unit sounded like it was either dying or getting ready to launch to the moon had to just leave it off.
Rebecca
There was no regular
Roberta
Pet accommodations are good. Friendly helpful staff.
Robert
Just what I needed- clean, comfortable and easy in and out stay.
Gary
Was ok and clean
Bruce
The bed was to high we had to jump up to get on the bed. No coffee maker in the room. No hair dryer in the room. No iron or ironing board in the room. Bathroom was dirty. Floor was dirty. Only one role of toilet paper and had to ask for more. Bathroom door would not stay shut. The bed hurt our backs. The A/C unit mad noise at night and was hard to sleep.
Gena
Easy parking, easy check in. Very friendly staff!! Room was small but clean and cozy. I was by myself so plenty of room. Nice water fountains and FREE HOT BREAKFAST. COFFEE WAS EXCELLENT. I would stay here again.
Peyton
Got met with a surprise pet fee and a nonreturnable room so i ended up paying 120$ for an 80$ room not to mention blood on one is the towels which i contacted support immediately and when the agent contacted the hotel they just denied it even happened without checking even when offered pictures.
debra
The room was very clean and bed was comfortable
Tiffany
Very clean room. Very bright well lit parking lot. Light was blinking outside of room and made it distracting to sleep.
Jeremy
The reason I chose this hotel was the previous reviews stated the hotel was clean. I found that to be false. The room was not clean and smelled very bad. The hallway smelled like wet dog and a dog in neighboring room barked all night.
Harry
When I arrived the power was out. The staff worked to get me a room. The owner’s rep was able to make a key and get me into a room. I would stay here again.
Jerald
Yes. All good.
Jerald
All good. We are staying there again next week.

Very nice clean modern room.

Breakfast was good but there needed to have been more tables.
The area surrounding the property needed to have some broke down vehicles removed along with better litter control.

We stayed one night, very convenient off the interstate. Comfortable. Great Mexican restaurant close by 1.2 mikes,, El JINETE, also a wonderful park, big playground and area for walking,Soccer batting cages ect.
Charles
Great location and staff are great and room always looks great
Phillip
Easy check in, parking was simple, staff was friendly, breakfast was ok
Gina
Parking is easy, clean hotel, and staff were super nice. the only negative is crack heads hanging out at the end of the hotel.
They were coming in and out at all times of the night. You could not walk out to your vehicle without someone smoking marijuana. And no pool.

Athens Baymont
Good alterative for the area, not the fanciest.
Brenda
People hanging around outside doing things that they should not be doing
Gayle
Staff was great. Room was clean but on the small side. Lots of green space for walking my dog. Although 5 minutes off I75, felt like we were out in the country.
Christopher
Lots of lights on the outside, which is nice. Clean smelling when you walk in, and it seemed to be run by a family whom was kind. Room and bathroom was clean. It was quiet outside and inside the hotel. I’d definitely stay again!
KATHLEEN
Clean and spacious
Billy
Overall good stay for a cheap room.

Highly recommend
Excellent day. This is the best Baymont I’ve stayed in.
Jeffrey A.
Property was excellent, but, thru my own fault, I was scammed out of some money in the parking lot by a lady who posed as a hotel guest.
Martin
Not the cleanest place, hair still in bathtub, room smelled stuffy.
Lori
Great place off the main road. Quiet and clean. Very friendly staff.
james
Very clean and staff was excellent. Will definitely stay here again for future trips.

1st and last trip
We were in town for a softball tournament and only stayed 1 night. I can't complain about the overall cleanliness or friendliness of the staff
My complaint is the shady people that hang out around and inside the hotel. People screaming in the halls. People randomly walking by knocking on doors. Obvious drunk people hanging out in the parking lot. We checked in late and had to leave early as our kids had to play their 1st game at 8am but honestly, I was more than happy to leave and will stay somewhere else is we ever play another tournament in Athens.

The room and hotel in general appeared fairly clean on the surface. However, it could have used a more deep cleaning. I was thankful that I had brought anti bacterial wipes as I had to clean leftover "stuff" from the front of the toilet bowl. The shower curtain appeared stained. I accidentally spilled water on the floor and used a towel to wipe it up. The towel was black when I was finished. The bed was fairly comfortable. However, it was pushed up against the wall. Thankfully I was alone or someone would've been climbing over the other to get up in the middle of the night if they needed to use the restroom. No coffee maker in the room, which was a bummer. The hotel could definitely use some updates. Think Florida 1990's lol I guess I didn't expect much for the cheap rate so I wasn't surprised or disappointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, and great location.
The staff at this facility is always pleasant. They definitely understand customer service. Thank you for making my visit better!

Front desk person was awesome. Room was clean. Bed was ok. Walls are very thin so you could hear everything on the whole floor. For the money, it was satisfactory.

It is convenient to the highway, lots of food choices in the area. Good for an overnight stay.

Give this one a try!
Always a pleasure to stay here. This has to be one of the most consistent properties in the Motel 6 Chain! Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Jay at the Front Desk is quick and courteous. Give this one a try,

Meh
Hotel was a little smelly. Only 2 pillows on the bed. It was ok for 1 night.
Patrice
a place to sleep
Absolutely no bells or whistles-just plain and basic. The hotel was dirty but could definitely use some deep cleaning. The room was nasty dirty just old stains in many places. Room 136 has a bed that squeaks with every move. It drove me crazy most of the night.
Staff was very friendly however. Bathroom was clean. Very obvious they did updates on a budget. Our room had hardwood plank floors throughout the entire room-very odd for a hotel. And for some reason the tv was placed on top of a closet.
