The property was WAY overpriced for the quality of the building/accommodations. $500 a night. It is obvious that hotel has been redone, trying to be more \"upscale\". Doors were lightweight and had a \"cheap\" feel to them. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Really need to invest in some better pillows--very small/lumpy. Breakfast was basic. Room temp. was comfortable.

The property was nice, for what we were there for, only 1 night, it was cool. My boys enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was really good, especially the scrambled eggs and cheese! Our room was clean, the tub could have been cleaner but I kept in mind the hotel is old. The air conditioning kept cutting off and I kept having to turn it down so it will come on. The only complaint I have, it was around 12:30am, I kept hearing a LOUD piping sound. I called the front desk, I had to use my cell phone because the phone that's in the room wasn't hooked up. I spoke to the lady at the front desk, she wasn't to eager to help but she did say that it was probably the air conditioning outside of the building. Our room was 200 which was at the end of the building so that's probably why I was hearing the loud noise. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. We would book again.

We arrived after 3pm and our room wasn’t ready. We get to our room and it was extremely warm in there. We turned it down to the lowest setting and in 7 hours it never cooled off in our room. The couch was stained with little white stains all over it. When we opened the couch to pull it out, there were items in the cushions. Maybe that’s not gross but it lets me know the cleaning crew didn’t open the fold out. Then when we opened the fold out, there was a huge yellow stain on the mattress. I felt really disgusted with the room in general but that mattress stain was disgusting. We ended up checking out and driving the two hour drive home at 10:30pm.

The light fixture in the bathroom didn’t even have a cover. The sprinkler for fires in the bathroom was just a sprinkler in a big hole in the ceiling. The breakfast was disgusting and I didn’t even finish it. For what I paid for that room I expected a lot more. I will not stay again.

Bed sheets covered in hair and pillows cases had stains. Pretty obvious cleaning staff just made the bed and didn’t change the bedding! Gross. Bathroom needed a deep clean too. Only decent thing about this place was the front desk staff! Breakfast sub-par!

Location is not enough, particularly good part of Athens, but not terrible. There were no rooms available in downtown Athens near the university of Georgia therefore, we picked this hotel. Staff were incredibly nice and location acceptable even if it was on the same block as fireworks store, gun store, liquor store, and what appeared to be some kind of marijuana related store. Unfortunately, the room was mostly clean but in poor overall condition and the grout in the bathtub was very moldy. Considering the quality of the property and the location, the room felt rather overpriced at $250

The room was very nice and clean. However, the front desk staff was difficult to work with because I had booked the reservation through Hotels.com. My adult son ended up joining me at the last minute, and I had originally reserved a room with one bed. Even though they had plenty of rooms available with two beds, they told me that because the reservation was made through Hotels.com, I would have to cancel it without a refund and then rebook a new room with two beds.

The AC was working well. The sheets were clean but almost thread bare. There is only one elevator for the 4 story hotel. The elevator looked run down. Breakfast was ok. It was the absolute worst coffee. They put a 357.00 \" hold on my credit card in addition to the 513.00 I was charged for each room. It was still being \"held\" on day 3. This hotel is old and has been refurbished. I would stay there only if I couldn't find anything else.

During our stay, the employees at the desk were polite and very helpful. The room was clean and tidy. We had two problems: 1- only one outlet worked in the room and that is a big problem when you have several electronics that need charging. NEITHER if the two outlets by the bed worked. 2- the AC did not work properly in the room. We were HOT all night long. I reported both issues to the front desk upon checkout and the staff was super friendly and very apologetic.

Property needs some refreshing in the common areas. People were always hanging around the back area (couldn't tell if they were guests or not). We stayed two nights and the same broken potato chips were in the elevator the whole stay even though the staff used the elevator. The traffic makes it difficult to turn left out of the hotel.

I was expecting a lot since the Google rating was pretty good, but it was an average property. The bed was comfortable, but I was glad I brought my pillow. Instead of regular sized pillows, they had five small pillows. The bathroom was large (we did a king suite) with the bathtub having one of those squishy rubber non-slip mats in it. We got two towels and two wash cloths - that was it for two nights. Breakfast was the standard hotel continental breakfast, There were crackers on the elevator floor our entire stay which was weird given housekeeping used the same elevator.

The hotel front desk attendant wasn't pleasant. Once I arrived I greeted her with a smile and she greeted me with a \"dry do you have a reservation\"? I cheerfully said yes ma'am I do and handed her my identification and she returned my ID slamming it on the counter. The first room assigned on the 2nd floor. The door was visibly open as if someone left to go get ice and return promptly. I never entered the room and promptly went back to the front desk. Well the attendant was not apologizing nor was she comforting, she tried to argue with me about no one should be in the room by this time it was 10pm. She begrudgingly put me in another room on the 4th floor. The attendant never checked to see if I was okay. I used the \"do not disturb\" signage on my door and someone still enter my room, dumped the little garbage I had and changed the towels. I didn't need or want the service for a two night stay. I keep my room tidy and reuse my towels. I felt uncomfortable and use this location again.

My daughter and I were here for just one night. The staff was very friendly. I felt safe. However, I did hear a lot of noise from outside. Our room was clean, and we had hot water for a shower. Although it could use some updating, it was overall okay. I gave it 4 stars because the walls are thin. I was woken up way too early by our neighbors.

We checked in and quickly rushed to the room to drop our things to rush to a concerts. We arrived back at the hotel to shower and have a bath and the bath wouldn’t work. The shower pull was stuck, the hotel room was moldy smelling. We decided to leave and drive the two hours home instead of staying. The front desk gentleman was friendly enough but the “on call manager” decided that since we checked in and didn’t complain beforehand we weren’t able to receive a refund.

Not the worst hotel I’ve stayed in but below the standard I expect of Comfort Inn. Everything had a feeling of neglect. I wouldn’t say it was really dirty but it definitely wasn’t clean either. Everything from floor to ceiling needed some maintenance or repair.

Stayed here Fri-Sun. Staff was friendly and helpful, spotless room with lots of extras-tea bags, hair dryer. Excellent full breakfast. Hampton Inns have been our first choice, but they were full on our dates. Next time we will come back to the Comfort Inn-Hampton drops to 2nd place!

All and all it was a very good experience. The room and common areas were very clean. The staff was exceptional and friendly especially the lovely lady working the breakfast area, I wish I got her name. The only downside was the workout room equipment was not really working... There are 3 machines: Treadmill, Pelatron, and bowflex... The treadmill which is what I wanted to use was not working at all. The bowflex Worked where you could adjust the settings but there was no screen usage or programs available... And you needed an account to use the pelatron bike, Which I don't have.

I booked this place less than 24 hours before my trip. When looking at the picture I definitely thought this would be a good place to stay for a night. In the picture the hotel looks practically new . When arrriving to my room hair was everywhere , there were spots on the linen . Just a poorly kept room. Toliet rocking dirty walls. Just NO!

I’m usually not that person who says I’ll never stay in a hotel ever again. Regrettably my room was next to a guest who seem to have been intoxicated and angry. As a result, I was awoken at 2:30 AM by a loud angry phone call. I struggled to go back to sleep when I finally did at 3:30 am, another loud, angry phone call started. I contacted the front desk on both occasions and they understandably were reluctant to escalate. Upon check out, my grievance was heard, but no action was taken. I paid for a room where I could rest and that was not afforded to me. Not sure I can go back.

Crooks and Scam Artist.

First, I'm very disappointed with Hotels.com and Comfort Inn and Suites. I requested a date and location change well before 24 hours due to inclemate weather and was denied both. I was also charged once I clicked the book room button even though the site clearly read that I would not be charged until I check in, so basically they stole my money. I made the booking roughly 72 hours before my original check in date.

Needless to say, I will no longer use either of these companies to do business with ever again. They should not be allowed to be in business because of this scam they're running.

Lack of face towels

This was my second visit and just like the first visit. There was not enough face towels in the room. This may come as a surprise, but a lot of people do not use the same face cloth to wash their body as they as they do wash their face.
