This hotel itself and staff are wonderful! Anyone who is a light sleeper, though, should be aware of local noise: a fire department about a block away and loud cars kept me awake throughout the weekend. On Friday night I think there may have even been street racing outside.

I knew the decor would be non-traditional, but I still thought it would be quality and functional. There was only a light fixture on one side of each bed. The desk was tiny, room enough for one of the roommates at a time. Roommate meaning my husband/business partner. And, no other chair in the room. Breakfast buffet ends at 9 am, and the lights over the food line literally turned off while I was wrangling with the toaster. If the stafff needs to begin cleaning up, fine; but turn the lights out? Maybe not quite obnoxious, but certainly not welcoming. Then the cleanup gal tossed out all the remaining hard boiled eggs. So you’re in such a hurry to close down that it’s better to throw out the food than let the guest have it or save in the staff refrigerator.There is a zillion other hotels out there. We don’t need to come back to this one.

Rude front desk agent. The 3pm to 11 pm gentleman was great. But the young lady manning the desk from7am to 3pm was very nasty. I had a really bad migraine and she called the room to say that check out was at 11:00 am. I explained to her that I was a stay over and that I extended my stay through hotels.com. She said I needed to come to the desk to extend my keys and I told her that I wasn’t feeling well but I would be down to change my keys. She asked me to come down now and I said “no”. I will be down and moreover I’m not feeling well and my credit card is on file for incidentals. I can’t remember what else she said but it took everything in my being not to cuss her out. She took the customer out of customer service. The 3-11 guy was great and funny, nice, professional.

Amazing Family Weekend

The stay was amazing. The breakfast was great. The customer service was excellent, they appeared to be concerned about our comfort. The two ladies who were over the breakfast were very friendly and attentive! The food was very good, fresh and hot. There were things inside of the hotel in the lobby that were very entertaining. We had a great stay and this was our first time staying at a Tru. Robert, the front desk agent who checked me in, was super nice and you could tell he enjoys what he does. Very accommodating and kind. The hotel was extremely clean, rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the shower was great with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was nice. Pancakes, omelets, sausage, oatmeal, different varieties of cereal, and an assortment of bagels and bread to toast. The only thing we didn’t care for was having to pay $75.00 upon arrival for a pet fee. We have a small shihtzu who is hypoallergenic, so that rate seemed quite a bit. Should be based on size and type of pet. Will definitely stay here again given the chance.
