Negative: neighboring room was playing heavy metal way too loud and smoking pot smell until security came at 1:30 am to quiet them down. Fridge in room broken. Room was subpar appearance with cheap looking one word wall art not nice pictures. Property and beach around lake not cleaned up- tons of dog/duck poop everywhere you try and walk. Slot bonus and opportunity pail in comparison to every other casino we have been to.

This resort has great potential- unfortunately when the room and noise issues were brought up- no follow up from property management.

The staff was not rude or u helpful. The staff could improve of areas of being more welcoming and inviting to guests as you move throughout the property. The pool area can use a major upgrade as its a basic pool area with not ambiance or aesthetic. The layout of the resort is a little off to me. The spa and pool are should be on the same level. The restaurants and casino are good. The selling point of the resort is the outdoor lake out back with lounge chairs, fires pits and an outdoor bar.

My recent stay at Rocky Gap Casino Resort was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Nestled in the beautiful mountains of Western Maryland and overlooking the stunning Lake Habeeb, the resort offers breathtaking scenery and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and unwind. The location alone is worth the visit.

The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed, with incredible views that made every morning feel special. The entire property was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, reflecting the resort’s commitment to providing a first-class guest experience.

What truly set this stay apart was the outstanding customer service. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to help. Check-in was quick and seamless, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure guests felt welcome and valued.

The amenities were excellent. Whether enjoying the casino, dining at the restaurants, relaxing by the pool, or taking in the natural beauty surrounding the resort, there was something for everyone. The combination of luxury accommodations, entertainment, outdoor recreation, and spectacular views creates an unforgettable getaway.

The rooms at the Rocky gap Casino are big which are nice. And the bathrooms are large and nice, the toilets are low, however. The general cleanliness of the room was just mediocre, it could use a dusting and a good vacuuming. Great to have the casino on property. The view the outside and the outdoor accommodations are beautiful.

We had a great stay, weather was beautiful so we were able to enjoy the beach and outstide seating. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Only complaint was we were told we were not allowed to bring our cooler to the room because it was too big, it was a regular size cooler.

I loved everything about here except the food. Staff was nice and the lake view was breathtaking and relaxing. Everyone was friendly. The food at the restaurant and bar and grille was not worth the price IMHO. Hiking trails all nearby, water activities convenient and takes like cornhole and live music made for an excellent relaxing weekend retreat. Got a facial in the spa was definitely worth it

I booked Rocky Gap Resort to celebrate a birthday milestone. Two requirements I was looking for was room service and a spa.

Upon check in I was told that room service had been discontinued several months ago, yet it was still offered on the website.

When I book spa treatments I enjoy a little pampering. A nice fluffy robe, slippers, and a relaxing atmosphere. While the massage therapist was ok, I went in, had my massage, and walked out. Nothing special. No robe, no lounge area, no offer of a beverage afterwards.

The location of the resort is very pretty, but that's it. I think it's more geared to golf.

Very disappointed.

Staff and room was nice, but they were cleaning the outside the day we were there so there was only the one restaurant we were able to go and it took close to an hour to get our food on a Wednesday. We would liked to sit outside and eat. The day before they were cleaning the main restaurant so they weren’t open for their happy hour. It seems they could have moved it to the outside bar or some where.

Beware there is no place to hang towels or clothes other than the small wardrobe in room.
The Casino is nice but small, lots of old school games.

Overall it’s a great property. It rained all weekend so we were unable to take advantage of the beach or golf course.

Be sure to ask for turnover service if you want it- they will not clean your room unless you ask. They didn’t tell us this when we checked in which is why I gave it four stars.

We were treated horribly by Casino staff because my husband walked in carrying a backpack, which they allowed him to do, we walked right by security going in. Then as we walked out he was yelled at and cursed by security. It was unreal. Horrible experience. We go to this area annually but will never return.

Not a great hotel - the room didn’t smell too great, the walls were really thin (and guests were pretty loud in the halls through 3 am as the came back from the casino), and the hotel apparently doesn’t clean rooms during your stay except by request (which would have been nice to know in advance).

The staff were very nice, especially the servers at the main restaurant. Overall hard to believe this is a four star hotel.

The spa was absolutely wonderful! I felt very pampered. The pool is wheelchair accessible and the pool area was very clean. The Lakeview Grille did a fabulous job serving our party of 11. Food was delicious and our server was top tier. The kids loved the cornhole and beach. We will absolutely go back!

I will never stay here again. Customers service from front desk was horrible. They gave me a room that was not properly cleaned. I asked for it to be cleaned. I came back and it still wasn’t done. I requested a new room. The new room was not equivalent to the room i initially booked. The front desk person who said she was the manager provided horrible customer service. It wasn’t worth it. The room was nice and we love this area of MD. It's nice to have golf on property. One of the most scenic courses you will ever play. Their rewards program is probably the worst in the industry. The food on property leaves a lot to be desired. You could taste fish in the french fries, so if you have allergies, make it know. Paid $6 for a black coffee then couldn't take it in the casino.

The original non-smoking room that we were assigned reeked of smoke and the staff quickly replaced it immediately.

The room was no frills, though we did have a lovely view. Staff were helpful and friendly. Parking was plentiful. Loved having the casino attached to the hotel.

There was one extremely busy ATM in the lobby. Wait time was about 15 minutes during prime casino hours. Maybe there should be more than one?

Room was comfortable and quiet, though no frills.

Last time we were at Rocky Gap, the 21+ Floor had an open bar happy hour, Hors d'oeuvres, and complimentary breakfast. I was a little disappointed to learn after booking the floor for that specific purpose that those were no longer available. Made me wonder what the point of having a 21+ Floor was even for.

Other than that, the resort, food, and casino made for an excellent night away.

Loved the pool and hot tub. Grounds are beautiful with Adirondack chairs and fire pits on the beach overlooking the lake and mountains. Lovely deck area with outdoor bar, chairs and fire pits. The resort is beautiful. The rooms were pretty clean. We always clean upon arrival and most places were pretty much dust and dirty free. The Lakeside Grille and Lobby Café, both had pretty good food and great service but Signatures Bar & Grill put a major damper on our Mother's Day getaway and we will definitely not return.

We waited about 15 minutes before anyone bothered to take our order. The kicker is the server Chloe found time to serve every table around us but acted as if we were not there. We were about to get up and leave when finally another server who had just came out on the floor asked us if anyone had been over to us. When we said no, she went and got Michael, by this time we had been seated going on a half hour. He asked if he could get us some drinks, we told him we already knew what we wanted and were ready to place our orders. Then waited about another 30-35 minutes until our food came out. Cold and on stale bread. We both asked for drinks with no ice, received ice in both drinks. I asked for Swiss cheese on my sandwich and boardwalk fries, no cheese and then he said these were boardwalk fries (see Pic). The service was subpar and the food wasn't much better. My order was wrong and cold. One server clearly refused to serve us, but served literally every table around us. The other couldn't be bothered to even try to get our order right. If you go Rocky Gap, I definitely do not recommend Signatures Bar & Grill.

This place gets worse every year. We try holding on to what was once special but this is going to be our final visit. The golf course has taken the back seat to the casino and the casino is poorly done / managed. The place has become a trap for retirement and social security cash grab.
