Do not accept a room in the back(130’s) as they’re in dire need of repairs and renovations and they are facing the woods. We only stayed in the room because we were tired after driving 7hrs. Management was cooperative and accomodating enough to change our room for the second night we stayed. There were several events going on in the town so there weren’t any other places to stay to even reserve a room somewhere else.

This place was dirty, window sills filthy and bugs in windows. Bugs on ceiling and unknown marks on walls and back of door. No upper lock on door. No amenities like hair dryer or coffee pot. Parking safe under lights. Strangers lurking about outside. It was not rated correctly. No breakfast, go somewhere else to stay.

Nothing wrong with the hotel other than a need for updating and deep cleaning. Smells like old smoke from the 80s/90s. Some of the patrons were way too loud at 1 in the morning, but that is not the fault of the hotel.

The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and amazing. The amenties were good as well, the stay was good until two days prior when a guest had a dog that barked all day and all through the night a couple of doors from me. The kids above us ran throughout the room up to 1 am.

Otherwise, the stay would have been magnificient!

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is located close to the highway which was convenient for us. They do not serve breakfast.
My sleep was interrupted by the heavy footsteps of the guest above our room and I could hear the shower in another room when it turned on and off. I have stayed at many hotels but found that this one was somewhat noisy.
The exterior of the building as well as the stairwell smelled of cigarette smoke.
One of the housekeepers open my door without knocking while I was not fully dressed. She apologized but I informed the front desk that in the future, they should knock and announce themselves even if they thought the room was vacant.

The bed was comfortable but the handle on the bathroom tub was broken, a watermain break outside must have occurred overnight so we had no water in the morning! That wasn't the motel's fault, but we couldn't get a shower anyway as the handle was broken. I replaced the toilet paper roll - no big deal but it should have been done before we arrived. The walls in the hall were beat up and dirty. The elevator was questionable. This was the worst Choice Hotel I've ever stayed in.

Dirty and apparently not safe as we were told nothing is in our room, like pots, pans, dishes, etc. because people steal them. You have to ask for EVERYTHING. They have a lot of extended stay customers. The only good thing was the staff. They were very kind and helpful, but we would not stay there again. A little too pricey too.

Easily accessible location. The room was spacious and clean. The fridge was a great size. The bed was comfortable. The lobby closes overnight but that had no affect on us since we had an outside, first floor room. What was bothersome was the guests. They'd honk their horns at 6am. We stayed 2 nights and it happened both mornings. There were a lot of lineman there with a lot of loud trucks and horns. No direct fault of the hotel, but inconsiderate to the guests.

My stay at Suburban Studios was everything I needed and more. The property was exactly as advertised and felt extremely welcoming from the moment I arrived. What stood out most was the sense of a small, temporary community—many of the guests were there for short-term work, and it created an atmosphere that felt like a home away from home.

As a solo female traveler with my pup, I cannot emphasize enough how safe and comfortable I felt here. Ms. Kathy and the rest of the staff are incredibly kind and attentive. Once you become a familiar face, they make a point of keeping you informed about any changes that could affect your stay. For example, Ms. Kathy always let me know when new guests with pets arrived so I could prepare my own pup, who is very quiet and calm. That level of thoughtfulness really set this place apart.

I also appreciated the cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms. I did not see any pests, and I loved that the floors had no carpet—making the space feel fresh and free of lingering odors from previous guests. It’s understandable that certain supplies need to be requested from the front desk, and I think it’s actually wise that the hotel keeps them secure.

Honestly, Suburban Studios became a true refuge for me after leaving a very difficult Airbnb situation. I am so grateful for the warmth, safety, and professionalism I found here, and I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone seeking a reliable and welcoming extended-stay option.

I had a great experience here! Here is the good: Staff were super friendly and helpful! Lobby was clean, room was ready at check in, room was clean and had updated fridge, stove top, and microwave.
Here is maybe where some improvements could be made: There are no cups, cooking utensils, or silverware. (Now maybe they aren’t branding as an extended stay.) but if you offer a larger fridge than a mini fridge and a stove top to cook with then one would think they might already have a few things there.
There was a little sitting area across the parking lot with umbrellas and it always had a lot of cigarette butts on the ground. Tables not wiped off. Old broken bench. With a little attention to detail it could be a cute place to relax.
There was just a small coffee machine in the lobby. It had cups, sugar, and creamer, but it was just kind of there. It worked and coffee was good! It just seemed a little bland compared to other Choice hotels I have stayed at.
Overall, this is a good place to stay! I would stay here again. Would just spruce some things up a bit if it were me.😊

I stayed here during my son football tournament and I must say this is the lowest prices motel we have every stayed in as we always stay in most up scale places. But this was a terrible experience. Upon arrival to the room the bedding WAS NOT CLEAN. There was curly hairs on the pillow, in addition to just dirt in the sheets. Pillows was not pillows. They were very flat. Wasn't enough towels, not was their thick enough. The bathroom was not clean!
The room service its purpose which was just to sleep for two nights, but the place still need to make sure things are clean. Especially where people sleep. The lady at the front desk was very apologetic but still a terrible experience.

The guy at the front desk was very friendly and checked me in very quickly. The place doesn't look real nice from the outside but once you get inside the rooms are very clean and spacious and even have a full kitchen. The TV could have been bigger and there were no tissues in the room. I had to use the spare roll of toilet paper as tissues.

I've had my share of experience staying in less than 4 star hotels. This one is by far the worst.

- If you're on the bottom floor, you will smell cigarette smoke the entire time.
- Zero soundproofing. I heard everything the guests above and next to me did. Even shower.
- The bathroom flooded after showering because the stall (no tub) aren't leveled correctly.
- No tissues or anything other than toilet paper.
- For a suite with a kitchen, there was not a single trashcan except for the small one in the bathroom.
- Not a single kitchen utility. No dishes, cutlery, cookware, or a way to make coffee in your room.
- Speaking of coffee, their \"coffee time\"consists of luke warm and burned tasting coffee in very small cups while the staff stares you down.
- No closet. There is a small area in the BATHROOM where it looks like a few things can be hung up... but there are no coat hangers.
- The floors were disgusting and the sheets stained.
- The AC/heating unit was making so much noise that I had to turn it off and just freeze in my room under a very thin blanket and sheet.
- Checkout is at 11. Housekeeping OPENED MY DOOR without knocking or announcing themselves at 8:30 in the morning and then just closed it when I screamed. They came back at 9:30 and tried again, but I had the door latch (with loose screws) engaged. Both times they just laughed about it. I felt like I had to leave right then and I wasn't welcome to stay until actual checkout.

All in all, stay away. It's awful.

The fact that it’s almost 11pm at night and you hear doors slamming and people above us STOMPING is CRAZYYY!!!! Not happy at all the public sucks! As far as the room and the staff are it’s a great stay.. but you hear EVERYTHING!!! And it’s sad that I traveled hours for this train ride and I’m not going to get much sleep because of rude people!!! And no I’m not being a Karen it’s called RESPECT! The people beside us must have multiple people walking in and out of their room all day with their door slamming constantly. Kids running and screaming up and down the hall way. Again the staff are amazing. If I had anything to add it would be to add more pillows to the bed. If u want a good night sleep I’d suggest to be on the top floor around NOBODY.

At check-in, TV in lobby was so loud I could not hear hotel staff trying to check me in.
Although hotel is non-smoking, all that means is you have to walk a gauntlet of people smoking in parking lot.
Had ground floor room which opens to parking lot.
There was stray cat wandering property.
Could clearly hear people walking in room above me.
Unlikely to use hotel for any future trips

Our get away!!!

Well the check in wasnt good. I didn't like how the man at the front desk asked me to get my husband's ID. I had mine and we have been married for 30 years! Why couldn't I use my ID? My husband was right in the car and he is handicaped. And the floor in room 308 was very dirty. I had to wear my shoes when we were there.We did like the room very much.

Great location and overall value. Modest and clean.
No in-room coffee. Lobby coffee opens at 7AM. There are zero plates, utensils, dishsoap, etc. Take advantage of the nearby Walmart/Dollar Tree. There are no sidewalks here. Proprietors are a thoroughly lovely family.

Reported the riom situation to management. Floor was not clean, bedding was stained,bathroom was not clean. Said they would send in someone to clean while we were out. Came back to beds made but not changed nor any cleaning done. This was our second stay but no more. We will choise another place and never recommend. No apologies for the conditions.

After i checked in i went to my room,to my surprise there was a man asleep in the room that i was given a key too. I immediately went to the front desk the man was already on the phone with the person who checked me in. He was apologizing for scarring me,i can only imagine the fear he had from me walking in unexpected. The room appeared to be clean all except a roach we discovered crawling up the wall above the bed. It was very noisy as well from the outside traffic.

The staff were all very polite and friendly, check in was easy and the WiFi was free and worked well. However, the non-smoking rooms absolutely stank of smoke. When we came back to the hotel the following day someone had been assaulted in the lobby and there was blood everywhere. It was a bit concerning how secure it was.
