The room was very nice. The hotel is a few blocks away from the GAP/C&O bicycle trail but relatively easy to get to. You can't keep your bicycle in your room but there is a bicycle storage room off of the lobby. There are fast food places nearby.

Loud due to trains and other guests that kicked a soccer ball against a door and in the hall until 4 AM. They started back up by 9 AM. When I said something they said they couldn’t do anything about it. The room next to me complained to me about it also. Lack of proper on site staff does not help.

I've stayed here on several previous occasions while doing the GAP and the C&O trail and love the location near the Amtrak station. I appreciated the bike room and being allowed to check in just a little early. The check-in was by video which seemed impersonal but it was very efficient and the agent was very friendly.

The room was spacious and functional, but a bit dated. The bed was comfortable but not the pillows, way too soft when using just one and two thick if you try to use two to compensate. The walls are also paper thin! You can hear everything from every other room around you, and the hallway. If you are light sleeper make sure to ask to stay as far away from other guests as possible. Breakfast hours are way too limited for a hotel that size and downtown. We were 8 mins late and they didn’t even allow us to get coffee. Staff was okay, not friendly, but not rude either. They have this virtual check out through a screen that was pretty unique. I would go back if needed a place downtown, but only for the price and location.

Check-in and check-out were easy processes. Parking is available, but limited. It was a little disappointing that the vending and ice machines did not work on each floor, but the quality service made up for it. The layout of the rooms were nice. We didn't have the best view, but that didn't bother us, because we weren't there for that. We would definitely stay there again.

Check in was quick and pleasant. Chris was the front desk associate if I recall his name correctly. He was very helpful in giving me a room with the view that I wanted.

My room was clean and comfortable.

One of two elevators was in operation during my stay.

Continental breakfast was basic. Cereal, coffee, juice, bagels and muffins along with self serve waffle machine.

Hotel shows some signs of wear and tear ...torn wallpaper in hallway near elevator on one floor.

To sum up, this hotel meets my needs while visiting the Cumberland area and I will return again in future.

Cumberland Ramada has met my hotel needs well. Over the last two winters I have commuted to Cumberland for weekday work. Last winter I stayed in multiple area hotels, but this winter settled on repeated stays at Ramada Downtown almost exclusively. The place is not fancy. But the rooms are clean, of ample size, with comfortable beds. Meanwhile, the price fits my reimbursement budget. I always request a town side room to get less train noise. Cumberland downtown shops and restaurants are readily accessible a block away on the revitalized Baltimore street. There is not too much to do in Cumberland, but at the Ramada you are close to what there is to do. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel location is five minutes from my work, so the convenience recommends it as well.

The room was clean enough, but far from pristine. They do offer breakfast, but guests are NOT permitted to take food to rooms! Exhaust fan did not work and we also reserved a king size bed and were switched to two double beds upon arrival. The location and price was great because of the event that we were attending, but unfortunately that is the ONLY good thing about this hotel.

The bed was hard and not very comfortable at all. Not nearly enough blankets on bed and house keeping knocked and didn’t wait on response and walked in and we wasn’t dressed yet on Saturday the 14th . I was not very happy with that at all. I’m not sure at this time if we will stay here again.

I would have rather slept in my car than stay at this hotel. The staff was cordial but the room was so DIRTY!

My husband and I walked around with towels or dirty clothes on our feet to avoid the filth on the floor of our hotel room. It was so bad, that our feet turned brown.

There was also a weak spot down one side of the room; so there was a dip if you walked on on that side (which was the main walk area). There was dust and hair along the corners of the rooms(including the bathroom); the shower head was crusty like it hasn't been cleaned since they put the shower head on years ago; the bathtub floor was scratched and has become black in the worn spots (it's a white tub).

The mattresses were hard (not in a good way). They weren't memory foam or anything nice, just old, clumpy, hard spring mattresses. Sprjng mattresses are supposed to be comfy. These were NOT.

I do not recommend anyone stay here. We only stayed one night because we were passing through town. Biggest waste of $100 we have ever spent. This hotel stay is worth $20 a night.

The room was in great condition. The price was on point I can never argue with the price we paid for there. It was amazing. However, I booked a room for three people. My wife, my son and myself. My wife and I were going to sleep on the bed, and my son was going to sleep on the blow up mattress and the couch when we got there. I realized that there were no sheets for the pull out mattress, so I went to the front desk associated to ask for a sheet set and pillows. And at first, he debated with me that our room even had a Pole mattress, because he said, no room in the hotel has pulled out mattresses, and I was just confused because 30 seconds before this conversation. I was literally in my room pulling the mattress out. But finally, after we got over that conversation, he then told me that each room is only allowed to have one set of sheets and pillows. And that he would not give me any other sheets or pillows, and I told him that we have three people per the. Reservation and 2 would sleep on one bed. And one would sleep on the other. So it didn't make sense why we would only have one set of sheets or that I wasn't at least allowed to have another set of sheets in the end. He did not get me or allowed. Allow me to have any more sheets or pillows.So my wife and I split up our stuff.So that my son would have a pillow and a blanket and a sheet.Obviously I did not mind this.That was not the issue.The issue is with the front desk associated and just telling me that I can't anymore.

The room was disappointing to stay in, walked into room and it was cold 66 degrees, the shower curtain rod was broken, took a long time for hot water to get to shower, only one elevator was working during our stay, and the tv channel listing was not even close to being correct. The pictures they advertise of the rooms is not even close to the actual rooms. I was very disappointed and will never stay at the Ramada Inn in Cumberland, Maryland again.

I am a train buff and generally request a room facing the railroad tracks for that reason.

It had been over a year since my most recent stay at this Ramada and one change that I immediately noted was a kiosk at the check in desk where you use a touchscreen to interact with a live rep to check in and out.

This is apparently in place for when the desk is unmanned by a regular desk agent.

Upon my check in, the regular desk agent was just coming on duty so I checked in with him.

Upon checkout the following morning, no desk agent was present so I used the kiosk....spoke to agent on the kiosk screen who confirmed my info and had me drop my room keys into a box on the desk.

Stay itself was comfortable, clean room.

One thing that is needed is a window cleaning service. .. Exterior of my room window was very dirty, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years.

One of two elevators was out of service and a sign was affixed to the in service elevator advising guests not to hold door open as it would delay things for other guests needing elevator.
I found this to be discourteous as it would basically cause the door to slam in the face of fellow guests trying to enter the elevator...

Breakfast consisted of the typical Continental breakfast choices of cold cereal, bagels, fruit, waffles and was satisfactory.

All in all, my stay was satisfactory and I will return again for future stays.

Terrible service from the 12AM receptionist this morning. My parents room had NO HEAT in it. When they went down to speak with the receptionist, they said \"What do you want me to do? There's no technician available\", they also said they are fully booked and nothing they can do. The receptionist was VERY hostile.

My parents had to attempt to use any covers they could get from the beds to stay warm. My mom did not even sleep the whole night because it was so cold. This is unacceptable and NOT the way to treat guests.

It had only one elevator working and there was a bicycle race going on and it was hard sharing 1 elevator. I would of ask for Another room, but there was a communication problem with front desk. A table was used to check out instead a face to face.

The heavyset Caucasian woman at the front desk who awoke from her slumber with the worst attitude should not work there. Her beyond condescending tone, along with her pointing, which I think she very well meant to be degrading, is not what anyone needs at 7AM. I would also like to highlight that she only displayed rudeness to patrons of a certain background. We ignored her for safety on both ends, but I’m sure with some other patrons, the situation could’ve went totally left.

This was after a phone at around midnight, waking us up, to tell us that people around were complaining that we were making to much noise, and they were trying to go to sleep. The night i checked in the person at the front desk tried to charge me a second time for my prepaid room. The breakfast they offer was not the best. Cold biscuits and gravy. Stale cereal. The facility itself was in disrepair including mismatching carpeting, missing carpeting in areas, drapes that had probably not been cleaned in a decade, and a train display showcase that had visible thick dust all over it. This photo on this site, is NOT the Wyndham Cumberland; oh how we wish it was. Our stay would have been much more enjoyable.

Fantastic 4 day stay! Stayed in the king suite with livingroom, dining room, 2 bathrooms, and comfortable king bed! Everyone was very friendly at the kiosk check in/out, front desk, and management! Tons of sites to see, a wide variety of places to eat, quick access to shopping from boutiques to groceries, and all within walking distance of a few minutes. Water pressure and temp was always consistent and good. This hotel is in a great location and has a fantastic crew.

The location is okay but the hotel itself is absolutely terrible. There is no front desk staff prior to 3pm. Instead you're met by a kiosk with a guy with a heavy accent from who knows where. He doesn't have the ability to set up any changes to your room or early check in. We asked to talk to the manager and the man muted and spoke on the phone with someone and told us the same answer. There is no restaurant, no store, only 1 elevator, the rooms smell and are dirty. The pool is also completely overgrown and unmanaged. Just a terrible place to stay. It's turned me off Ramada brand completely

The only negative thing was I couldn’t keep my bikes in the room without a $250 charge. An area is provided to store your bikes so you don’t need to leave outside.

My stay was fine for an overnight, I would definitely go back.
The building is older, but work has been done to keep it in decent shape.
The night time staff was great! They got me checked in, told me about the area, and made certain I had everything I needed; along with extra parking suggestions.
This hotel is right down from a very walkable part of downtown and bike trails.
The breakfast is okay.
For the price, it’s hard to criticize any part of this experience.

I am a 76 yr old disabled women and was put out the hotel because I asked for a sheet and blanket. I was told they could not provide it. I said I would call corporate so she said I could get a refund. I stated I did not ask for one. I proceeded to board elevator to go to room and she yelled miss you can’t go to the room. I have recently booked a three night stay at the Ramada inn in Cumberland Maryland.
I am writing to say that the hotel is less than the lowest review I can give We got there Thurs sep 12 , the check in was odd. There was no one at the desk but I Heard “are you checking in” I looked around and saw a kiosk with a person that is going to check Us in … I was Taken back.
After we checked in we took the 1 elevator that was in service to our floor .,.,we got to the room and it looked very clean and smelled good …. But the mattress needs to be replaced and so do the pillows ….We left the hotel for a while and came back and asked
Why is the bar not open as advertised … they said we can’t find anyone that wants to work … I was like really this town had many people that need jobs .. he said yeah but They work for two

This was our second time staying at this location. The first time we had no complaints. This time was different. There is a homeless camp/hangout on the far side of the parking lot. The person working the front desk was not friendly. He was not rude, but seemed miserable. The breakfast provided was a joke. Weird odor throughout the entire building and it did not feel \"clean\". One of the elevators was out of order. You can hear doors slamming all night long. Our second night, our neighbors were extremely loud. We could everything they were saying. We couldn't get our TV to work the first night, but it was magically working fine the second night. Overall, would not stay here again or recommend it. Pay a little more and stay somewhere more comfortable.

Staff was very pleasant. Vacuumed the reception area twice in 24 hours. BUT: One elevator was broken, the other had dirty buttons and nicked surfaces and no inspection certificate. Breakfast was really gross. The coffee dispenser looked greasy and the juice dispenser had illegible worn out hand written “not in service” labels and strange tasting orange juice. Pillows were lumpy. Everything looked just old and worn out except for the weird virtual checkout kiosk. Strangest most disappointing stay of our trip across MD/PA. Made us wonder if this is really a corporate Ramada or an off brand very low budget independent?

I visited this hotel when a friend stayed here a few years ago. It was before they renovated. When we came to stay this time, it was definitely an upgrade! Every thing was fresh and new. Shabby, rundown property clearly not well maintained. The property smelled bad, carpets were dirty. Pathetic and unsafe gym with an unstable crappy treadmill and 4, count ‘em, 4 barbells. Two 5lb and two 10lb barbells. A single floor mat so worn I had to turn it over to use it. Will not stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is great if you want to be walking distance to dining and shops in the downtown, as well as historic trails and museums. Staff was friendly. Rooms were average- clean. Bathroom was good, vanity was small in the double queen room. There is a train that runs right behind the hotel- was surprised we were not woken up by it but we asked to be on the other side of the hotel so we slept like babies. Overall a great location and great value compared to other hotels in the area. Will stay at this property again.

Broken elevator, creepy VR check in/checkout. Breakfast was nothing i could eat besides a banana. Only bagels sausage gravy, apples and banana. Very much a let down.
