The manager Andrew was fabulous to deal with, I needed to contact the motel as my circumstances had changed and I wasn’t able to check in until midnight. Andrew sent me very clear instructions on how to access my room key. There was ample outdoor lighting for me to do this without any problems. The room was very clean and neat and a very comfortable bed awaited me after my late night drive. Andrew was very friendly the next morning, ensuring that everything in the room was to standard and asking if I required anything before I checked out. I highly recommend this motel.

A good overnight stay

Arrived late about 10pm the reception remained open for me and another late arrival person. Even though key was left out for us in a key lock.
And was sent a full page message how to obtain key.
The positive side to motel comfortable bed , very clean except window sills in bathroom ….. dusty apart from that an excellent room .
The down side of motel was No breakfast …. Needs
Continental breakfast or a hot breakfast.
Would I stay here again without doubt

Take a blanket with you and sleep in your car…save your money. Shower hot water lasted about two minutes maximum. Deco and furniture has not changed from the 80’s…maybe wait a few more years and it will be fashionable again! Look for alternative accommodation in the area. Really poor value for money.

we always stay here when we have a market day at hanging rock. the rooms are clean, comfy, have kettle, toaster and microwave. hot water is hot!! only thing is you can get car head lights in room at times as cars arrive but curtains are good block out but have little light come through the ends.

Hotel was quiet away from the Calder Hwy and the road hotel was off.

The gentleman who greeted me at the office was very pleasant and helpful.

We were very well looked after in our overnight stay in the Gisborne Motel. The motel was clean, comfortable and easily accessed from the Calder Highway. The proprietor contacted us about our time of arrival, turned on the heating and provided good advice re late eating venues in Gisborne. Most enjoyable!

JUst thought that this motel needed a huge upgrade, no lights above wardrobe cupboard,the window sills were filthy dusty, no washing facilities for coffee or tea cups no tea towel to dry forced to clean cups in bathroom not healthy,draughty and parking was difficult ,step out front dangerous,step, could have had a fall there, not safe , overall would not recommend this motel,NO HEATER IN BATHROOM,FREEZING COLD AND DRAUGHTY.place needs to be concreted as well in driveway as it rained whilst we were there and no cover for cars so that at least one could be kept dry and not bring in all the wet feet .in the room. not good enough. no wi fi dissappointed

The motel is quite dated, which isnt a big deal but the carpet behind chairs/bedsides/bed looks like it hadn’t been vacuumed for that same period. The air conditioner is not attached to the wall properly (loose) and rattles so you cant sleep with it on.. not to mention the filters are full of dust also so if you have allergies like me i would recommend staying elsewhere. The bathroom was clean enough. For the price i have stayed in a lot of places that were a lot nicer. Great potential if the owner spent some money on it. I was only here as i was attending an event in Gisborne so had no choice but to stay here but definitely wouldn’t again!!

We were invited to Woodend for Xmas night meal and did not want to drive home to Patterson Lakes afterwards so this was an ideal motel, very reasonably priced and clean quiet area.
We were not on holidays, we did not want an upmarket place just for a 1 night stop over and this place suited our needs.
We would definitely book it again.

Able to have room on arrival 2 hours early. Staff helpful and friendly. Several dogs staying in crates a few doors up who disturbed us during the night. Space very small in room to make breakfast. Used dishes the night before but no tea towel or liquid for washing to use them for breakfast.
