Firstly, the two ladies in reception were lovely. That's the only good part. We paid $860 for two nights accommodation. There was no food included in this price, not even a continental breakfast. The venue is over 20 years old and it shows. It is run down. The pool and hot tub were putrid and stained. We went on a hot weekend and couldn't use these facilities. The day spa was closed for renovations and operated out of one of the rooms. The restaurant is closed. There are signs saying the plumbing is getting fixed and there is no heating (luckily we did not need it, a small portable heater was put in the room.). There is no internet or wifi connections. Remembering we paid over $400 a night for this. We were so appalled we cancelled our second night which resulted in ruining our long weekend. An email to management thanked us for our feedback and stated they would let the owners know. Extremely disappointing.

This hotel has the potential to be brought back to life . Pleasant clean room with a lovely large spa bath in the room looking out to the trees and mountain .
Downsides . Not a huge deal but need to be mentioned . No restaurant or spa facilities ( despite
this still being on signage) . No wifi or smart tv ( we managed but could be a deal breaker for some ) . Dishes have to be washed in the bathroom basin ( dish liq and cloth provided but no tea towell 🤔) bed quite hard , Freeway noise always in background as not far away .

Stayed in a Deluxe Room. Room was nice, clean and had enough space. Staff are very friendly as well.

Only two downsides, one being that there's no Wi-Fi. In saying that, we were barely in the room. Secondly, you can hear the spa jets in adjacent rooms if they're on. In the hotels defence however, they do ask that you don't turn it on after 10pm. Not their fault some people can be inconsiderate.

The stay was good, and the reception desk was very friendly. Check-in is easy, and lots of parking.
The room was big enough, although I would have liked extra towels in the room. It was great to have a microwave, toaster, and kettle in the room, but I didn't feel comfortable washing my dishes in the bathroom sink. Keep in mind if you are coming up on a Tuesday. Most shops and some restaurants are closed. Hotel staff were helpful and recommended a few eateries.

We had a nice few days staying at this hotel. It has so much potential, it's a shame that it seems to be a bit deserted. Contrary to some of the reviews we read, we didnt have any issues with bugs. The room we stayed in was spacious and the spa bath is lovely. There was no daily room service (which didn't bother us at all, but probably shouldn't be advertised because I know some people like to have their rooms made up on holiday). The restaurant is also closed (which we were informed about pre-arrival) and nothing within walking distance, but overall it's a nice, affordable base-camp in the area for a couple of nights.

The room was comfortable with beautiful views. Everyone was helpful within what they could provide. However, the bathroom shower seal was loose and water went all over the floor making it very unsafe.
No information was provided that the restaurant was closed, resulting in us having to go out for meals. The breakfast option was limited and expensive.

Beautiful view and had a lovely spa but… would not choose to stay again at the price as rooms and furniture are old (90s). Bed was lumpy. Bathroom floor grout was dirty. Silicon needs replacing around shower. Shower-head needs replacing or a good clean. Strange design upgrades with access to bathroom through the sliding wardrobe door and a built in CRT Television concealed with a picture on it.

Room is lovely with the fireplace and stunning view, especially with the hot tub it’s very unique!! Only thing with the room is there was no shower curtain and the bathroom gets wet easily. The pool was also not heated and didn’t look like filtration was on so we didn’t use it plus you have to walk outside to get to the pool as it’s not a hotel complex more like a motel with the rooms separate, which I didn’t expect. The restaurant is also not available because it’s closed due to storm damage and this was disappointing because the view from there is meant to be beautiful. They should have put a notice on their website about this when booking. It’s not good enough to have it in the confirmation email which when to my junk mail.

What an amazing little getaway, so quiet and relaxing. The heater being on when we arrived as the music,were great touches.
Having the spa in the room with the beautiful views made a short break just what we needed.
The only disappointing aspect was that the restaurant was not open, we definitely would have dined there.

Stay overall OK Disappointed that the restaurant was closed, the shower door would not close and flooded the bathroom floor. The toilet brush and roll holder kept on falling apart. Otherwise clean, good service and we appreciated the heating and the king sized bed. Also the facial I had was excellent.

Our stay at the Macedon Ranges Hotel and Spa was fairly pleasant. The staff are lovely. Our room was cosy and had a nice partial view of the mountains. It was nice to have a hot tub in the room but there are time restrictions for use. While the room was very clean, bear in mind that it is an older property and could use a refurb. The linen and carpet could be replaced. The bathroom is nice and spacious but there was some mould and rust that gave off a slight odour. I’d stay again and upgrade my room type to see if it makes a difference.

The only downside was that our room had a couple of cobwebs accompanied by small spiders as well as a half empty coffee cup on the table. I certainly did appreciate the contact-free check in as it made my journey from Canberra much less stressful. Would certainly recommend a stay here!

The room was very cosy and had a nice view towards the mountains. The fireplace was always on so it was nice and warm. There was a minibar in the room. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to a storm so we drove out to find a restaurant. The whole accommodation uses rain water & the spa bath in the room. Luckily bottled water was provided.
Otherwise a pleasant stay.

This is not a hotel, at best it’s a motel.
The rooms are rundown and out of date.

We had to fix the wheel on the sliding door as it wouldn’t open to enter the bathroom, when we did get in the bathroom the stench coming from the drains were disgusting. Couldn’t get any help from staff as there was literally nobody there.
The dining room is permanently closed, the spa you have to book in advance as there wasn’t anyone actually onsite, the indoor pool was freezing and being filled with the garden hose.
The only plus was the bed was comfortable.
Definitely not worth the money!

The hotel was in a nice location with a good outlook but the restaurant was closed which we weren’t told until arrival, there were lots of cobwebs indoors and our room wasn’t serviced during the stay. The room was a good size but overall expected a little more for the price.

The room had amazing views, so beautiful and a lovely place to sit and watch the sunset. The morning was so lovely to watch the fog rise off the mountain and see the bunnies running around.

We were disappointed that there was an odour in our bathroom, we moved the diffuser to try and cover the smell but we could still smell it. When I had a shower the water was luke warm, when we had a spa the water was Luke warm so I had to keep boiling the kettle to add some boiling water to make it a reasonable temp.

Really disappointed with our stay at this Hotel. We arrived to be told that the pool was out of order which was not mentioned at the time of booking. Our kids were extremely upset by this after driving for several hours. The neighbours were extremely noisy until all hours of the morning. No empathy offered from staff when we notified them the next day.
