Don’t go for the breakfast!
Remodeled but not up to normal standards.
Bathroom was large but nothing but a toilet…no hairdryers. They did have individual soap and lotion.
Curtains came below the windows on top of the AC unit on the wall - they blocked the cool air - had to ask for assistance from staff - they did tie up the curtains and it improved.
It was a good location for visitig the area!

The pool needs to be more maintained!
Barbara
I really didn't use the pool but the ice machine was dirty and moldy. The room looked as if it hadn't been cleaned, dirt in corners, dead bugs also. I will leave my clothes in the garage when I get home and get them immediately in the laundry. \"Prevention is worth a pound of cure\"
Beatriz

I will conback soon .:)

Upon entering the room my grandson was killed some kind of bug. The microwave was dirty and had an awful brunt smell, the coffee pot looked as if it had not be cleaned in years. I expected better from a Wyndham property.
Glenn
Convenient and clean

The room was spotless and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was excellent.

Noise from the room above. Other than that it was very good.

The room was clean, but the bathtub was questionable. And it didn’t drain. The breakfast was not even worth the effort of going to the lobby.

Dog friendly, clean, and affordable. Restaraunt across the street and half a mile away from everything else. We will be coming back to stay in this hotel again.

The rooms were great. Need to clean the spider webs off the outside of the building. Check in great. With breakfast maybe add bagels and bacon or sausage. Nice place close to everything.

Clean and adequate for the price.

Overall our stay was great. The hotel is in a great location not too far from the beach and other activities and restaurants. There's actually a restaurant across the street from the hotel. The room looked nice and newly renovated. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about was the loud AC unit but the room temperature overall was fine. The hotel representative was friendly and informative about things to do in the area. We were also able to checkin a little earlier than expected which was great. We'll definitely consider staying at this hotel again whenever we return to the area.
Chantel
We checked in late, and the guy that checked us in had a horrible attitude. Got to our room, and it was okay, but the water pressure was awful. Couldnt flush the toilet and the shower was not good.
Richard R
On arrival astonished to find bugs in the room. I slept very little the first night.
Gregory
I have stayed there several times and love it. The staff is always polite and very helpful. Easy access in and out. Really nice place to stay.

Cons:
The floor of the hotel room was filthy. The weatherstripping around the door was deteriorated. Could hear the TV, talking and activity in the other rooms. A/C unit was extremely loud.
Pros:
Pancakes were good. Staff was friendly. Easy parking.

Kalen
Horrendous shocking experience. Sheets literally stained with pee and still smelled like urine. Hairs and filth all over.
Danuel
Upon checking in the front desk staff was excellent. Everything after that was horrible. Entering the room we immediately noticed that it was poorly maintained. The place was extremely poorly cleaned and upkeep is done as cheap as possible. The property is in desperate need of some serious cleaning and repairs. After the first night we left at 9 AM to go to the beach until after 3pm. We returned and the room hadn’t been cleaned. I mentioned it to the front desk and housekeeping showed up and rushed cleaned the room in less than 10 minutes. We spilled some water on the floor and used a town to clean the water up and the towel looked as if we cleaned the sidewalk with it. You can see the buildup of dirt in the corners. In one of the beds and you could feel the grit and sand on the sheets from prior guest. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone nor would I stay here again. It needs to be closed down and rebuilt or some serous renovations and cleaning. This place was a dump and way over priced at over $400 for 3 nights. More like $50-75 per night based on the condition. The AC smelled wet every time it came on. After the first night the housekeeping avoided cleaning the room but on the day of checkout, they were banging on the door at 11:30 ready for us to check out so they can clean the room. Please stay somewhere else. I feel I deserve some money back. I was over charged for this place. RUN FAST!!
Amanda
Pool was nice.. room was clean

Beach Trip w/Pet
Room was very clean, staff was very friendly. I stayed overnight with my dog and it went very well. The TV channels were really good. The last couple hotels I stayed at had crappy TV so that was nice. Only downside was the massive amount of fire ants in the grassy/dog walking area.
Gloria
Nicole, the receptionist, went above and beyond getting us into our room since our original plan was not really available to be rented.

Good price. Good location.

Not a bad place to stay just a bit old and the residents were slightly suspect

Stained sheets, smelled like cigarettes, hairs everywhere (Lord only knows who they once belonged to). Just a very dirty room.
Cynthia
House hunt
We stayed in the hotel so we could find a trailer to live in.

A night in Swansboro, NC
All checked in and getting settled in. We turned TV on and it was on a Latino channel (we thought). Switching to other channels and all were speaking in Spanish. Could find no way to switch language to English. Off to the front desk and the lady informed me there was no one available to 'fix' the problem. She switched us to a different room where the TV was speaking English. My thanks to the lady who helped us.
Later as I was preparing to bathe, the shower mechanism was new to me and it took a while before I could figure it out. Maybe that was just me. But I did finally get it to work.
The following morning, my spouse and I decided to try the free breakfast. A fairly good selection was offered, but no eggs. I attempted to get pancakes from a fully automatic pancake making machine. As luck would have it, the display popped up a 'device overheating message'. I went to front desk and the man who investigated advised me that he had to contact the manufacturer and it was necessary for that company to send out a technician. Sorry, no pancakes that morning.
I really understand these kinds of things happened but all in all the motel provided a comfortable nights rest, which is the primary reason we stayed there. So, yes, I probably would stay there again.

The beds are much too small for 2 adults. The breakfast was substandard this motel is very much in need of an upgrade..
Kris
Check in was friendly and easy. Breakfast area was spotless. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.

This is a hotel with basic set up of bed(s) & bath.
However, this hotel had added features of microwave and mini fridge. The floors were hard surface- no carpet… Loved that! Also offered nice continental type breakfast with variety. Room was basic but clean, same with pool. Staff was friendly and helpful; especially Karrie!! GREAT weekend getaway for me & my husband!!!

Great stay! Clean friendly and pool was great!

The room was dated but clean. I would have given an Excellent but although I received service in the room each day, I never received any additional coffee packs and there was no shampoo in the room. I have never stayed where I had to go buy shampoo when I checked in or where the room was stocked with coffee when needed. I did go to the front desk and ask for coffee but shouldn't have to do that. All and all, I would stay again.
Patrick
Days Inn is terrible don’t stay there
The room was disgusting, filthy. Other guests were loud, filthy emptying trash outside their rooms, predominantly cigarettes, beer cans all over the walk way. There was a bloody Kleenex that was on the desk in the room, that despite mentioning it to staff stayed there. The bathroom smelled like mold constantly. I want a refund. The hotel shouldn’t be on this website if you want people to take it seriously.
susan
Small. Simple, dated but clean. Our overnight was quiet and safe. Front desk persons were kind and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was missing many items, as we were told “the truck comes tomorrow.”
Price totaled around $150, which seemed fair for proximity to island and vacation high season.

We had a really nice stay at this hotel. Service was great, room was very nice and the employees were extremely friendly and helpful.
Daniel
Had a great stay and it was low cost as we needed a place to sleep for the night before our fishing trip. Simple breakfast was nice as well.
Robert
Easy stay for Emerald Isle events
We did the Bbike the Beach ride on Emerald Isle and stayed here the night before the event. Easy drive out to the event start in Ocean Drive. Large room was great for bringing our bikes in overnight.
Thomas
Noisy air conditioner, very basic decor.
Lisa S.
Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean.
Robert
The cost ($25) for having a pet was over twice the average on our two week trip. Expedia needs to provide more information up front on total costs and what to expect for accomadations with pets. Simply stating \"Pet friendly\" doesn't cut it!
James
Would definitely staff here again
Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff on all shifts. Clean room. Great location. Reasonable price.
Tiffany
The staff was very nice. Our room was clean and we had plenty of towels. My only complaint would be the shower. The shower head wasn’t good but overall we had a very pleasant stay😊
Karen
Liked everything. No changes to suggest.
Leigh
The property was good and not around any other hotels but there wasn’t an elevator. But we managed. There wasn’t a too far of a drive to the beaches. The reason we stayed there was because it was close to my boyfriend’s buddies’ houses.
Daniel
Adversiced as having hot breakfast when in fact there is none. Continental Breakfast with few options.
Sandra
Our stay was wonderful, no complaints.

The staff was polite, rooms clean, beds comfortable. Hard to sleep due to people above us stomping and making noise all night every night for three nights, party on balcony. Called desk, said they gave a courtesy call to the rooms above and noise continued.
Robin
Perfect for what we needed, only stayed one night but would have been happy to stay longer if needed. Front desk staff was awesome, friendly & helpful, and rooms were clean and comfy. Budget friendly place so not all the amenities available, but we don’t require much and were very pleased with our stay. A decent option if you’re planning on going to the beach, even though it’s not located on Emerald Isle and plenty of food and grocery options very close by.
Axel
Good job
Connie
Staff was polite and responsive. Facilities were clean.

Quiet and relaxing
It's older but still clean and everyone was so nice. Great bar across the street. Beach was less then 10 min away. It's quiet and nice channel selection got to see MTV in real time.
Cara
It’s a Days Inn. It’s not expensive and comfortable stay. Rooms need some updating but only 20min to beach and lot less expensive than hotels closer to the water.
Angela
The floors were tile and when we walked On the getting around the room are feet were black when we got into bed. Be sure to wear your shoes the entire time. I understand the No house cleaning due to COVID, however they did not provide extra trash bags. So staying there for 3 nights with two kids, we had trash over flowing.
Russell
Pleasant get away
First time visit and hotel was conveniently located. Room as described, bed very comfortable. Basic amenities.
Rich
Recently updated older hotel. King size bed was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom is on the old side. Loved the laminate floors instead of carpeting. The only downside was the “skunky”smell from the A/C. Breakfast was nice — single service items

Days Inn has done an impressive overhaul to this hotel. The upgrades were long overdue. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely be staying here again.
