Breakfast was good and reliable. Hotel staff were all kind and welcoming. Housekeeping needs improvement. Upon check-in there was a used towel hanging on the back of the door in the bathroom and sand on the floor of the room. On the second day, someone came in and made the bed and took the used towels away, however there were no towels replaced. That night I went down to the front desk to get towels. Upon showering, I realized the body wash was empty, so the next day I left the front desk know. Upon returning to the room on the third day, the bed wasn’t made, but there were towels replaced. The housekeeping staff had also placed shower gel in the dispenser at the sink and hand soap in the shower. The staff working the breakfast area were amazing everyday and worked hard to make sure everything was stocked.

Hampton Inn is remodeling their rooms. We stayed in the suite and they took out the nice desk with plenty of drawer space. Sadly, they replaced the desk with a round table with one desk chair. There is a sofa but with no ottoman. The bathroom looks the same and outdated. I was disappointed that there was no drawer space and furniture where you could put your feet up to relax. It was a room that you could not relax in. I will no longer be staying in a suite room anymore.

I used to stay at this hotel monthly. I have since moved to the area and now when my family come to visit they stay here. The elevator never works which is really inconvenient trying to get kids up and down from the top floor several times a day. I am not sure why they would even use the rooms on the top floors knowing the elevator doesn't work or is on the brink of not working. Other than that breakfast is great. The staff is great. It's just the elevators!

Our rooms were great. The only concern I had was the body wash container was nearly empty in both rooms but there was a bar of soap so it wasn’t an issue. The hotel was under renovation but all the areas were open. Breakfast was good and staff were very accommodating and kind.

Upon check-in, we were issued a room with an emergency key? I’m not really sure what that is but the system was down so we were issued an emergency key!?! When we got to the room, The door didn’t even close. The deadbolt was not aligned. there was no way to secure the room whatsoever! This room should never have been issued so we had to go back to the lobby get another room that room had been remodeled, but was not clean at all there was a greasy substance all over the headboard the floors were dirty and a dirty towel left in the bathroom.

Hotel is under major remodeling/construction. Our experience: Some food Items missing the first day are still missing on day 6 of our stay.
Bathroom was poorly “cleaned” multiple days. Hot water completely stops mid shower a few days. It was Christmas week and Christmas Day but 2 days our beds weren’t even made. Had to go downstairs to get our own towels one evening.
We love the Hampton and have never had an issue here before. I’m sure once the remodeling is done in March it will be back to being a great place to stay in Swansboro.
It would have been proper for them to tell us when we booked (Hotels.com) that they were under construction.

Check in was easy, room was clean and quiet. I really like the soap/conditioner dispensers. Just seems to much more hygienic or something. TONY in the breakfast area was fantastic! Very friendly and funny, did a great job with keeping everything stocked. When we checked in, Johnny was training a new associate. While he was on the phone she had a question. He didn't seem upset or belittle her in front of us, just explained how to do it. Beds were comfortable, able to get the AC adjusted well. Shower spray was a bit 'meh', but okay. Check on out easy. Would stay again without any hesitation, even though it was not convenient to where we were going each day (Seafood Festival in Morehead City).

When I first entered the room I was originally assigned, there was an objectionable odor in the room. I called the front desk and the lady on duty immediately found another - and better - room for me to use. While, true, there was an issue with one of the rooms, your customer service was A+. No where on Expedia website did we see any information about $75 dog charge which we were charged at check in. Second the mattress in the handicapped room we were assigned was absolutely the worst. No support or comfort whatsoever leading to a very restless night. Quite disappointed for an overall cost of over $330 for one night. Will not stay here again or recommend and would appreciate appropriate adjustment. Thank you.

The property was within walking distance of downtown Swansboro ( 1 mile). The staff was EXCELLENT- so welcoming and friendly. The room and bed were comfortable. Continental breakfast had several options.
The only one thing that needed improvement... one elevator made a terrible noise when closing. The other elevator did not make this noise, so would advise having that attended to and fixed.

I’ve stayed at this property about 15 times over the last 3 years. It’s looking run down with broken tiles, squeaky elevator, and scratches on furniture. Staff nice but I hate that they hide in the back and I can’t check in quickly. I usually lie in the breakfast room to wait for someone to appear after calling out a few times.

There was a sign of roaches! The elevator made a horrible noise when the door opened and closed. An employee told us it was because the owner put in a cheap elevator. The water in the shower did not have a very good stream, not much water pressure.

Upon arriving, the attendant was on her phone with her AirPods in when I tried to check in. It took another team member physically making contact with her to get her attention. We didn’t have enough towels or blankets. When I went downstairs, the attendant let me know that we were lucky to get a blanket. Beyond our experiences with the front desk attendant, our room wreaked of men’s cologne each time the air kicked on. I ended up sleeping in the car because of the impact the smell had on my health. I never want to experience another night like that.

I have had family stay here in the past and everyone loved it. It is a great property, spacious and comfortable room and an exceptionally nice continental breakfast.
There were a few issues that disappointed us. One of two elevators was out of service for our entire stay as was the ice machine on our floor. The maid service was nonexistent except to swap towels. They left us fewer towels than we had used, left the bathroom trash can unemptied, and cleaned nothing after 3 days.
We still had a nice stay overall. Sorry to see a Hilton let the usual high standards slip.

Stayed here 3 times and each time the room accommodations got worse. We found mold in and around the mini fridge and hair in the bathroom upon arrival. There’s only one slow and squeaky elevator operating for at least 7 months. On a positive note, the staff is very friendly and the hotel is conveniently located to what I need access to. It’s also very quiet and located on a nice property.

I’m not kidding when I say I had the best night’s sleep I’ve had in years. I usually wake up at least once, but I slept solidly through the night and even my alarm didn’t wake me up for 4 minutes after it started. I always bring my own brown noise machine, but even still, there was something different about this sleep. The food was also very good and fresh, even though I got there 15 minutes before it closed. And the receptionist and buffet attendants were friendly and great. I will totally stay here again.

The staff at this location were absolutely amazing. I’ve never seen some folks who really love their job that much. They even put eggs out for the kids on Easter morning. Nice hotel, great service BUT…
One of the elevator doors was very noisy, making a screeching sound every time it opened & closed. We can hear it down the hall in our room.
The doors to each room slam & closer very loudly. Most people were good about controlling the door, but if they weren’t, the doors would slam. Woke us up early in the morning & it kept happening until we finally left.
