Terrible mistake

I chose this hotel because it says innthe advertisement that it is on the beach, there is AC and 2 hot tubs at the property.
Well, it is near the beach and you have to pay 25 dollars extra per day to have beach service. The AC doesn't work properly and there are 2 tubs, its just not hot (not even warm).
Breakfast is ok. Staff is friendly.

It was a comfortable stay in a great location for beach going. The hotel rooms are slightly dated but provide a cultural ambiance of the area. Vendors on the beach are a bit annoying but the view on the beach is spectacular. The staff is very helpful and provide excellent service. The restaurant and bar staff are attentive and the food is delicious at Nino’s.

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. From the very beginning, the staff was extremely rude and unwelcoming – there was no sense of hospitality at all. The property itself looked nothing like the pictures online. It is old, outdated, and absolutely not worthy of being called a 4-star hotel. They advertise a “private beach,” but that is simply not true – the beach is about a 10-minute walk away, not connected to the hotel.

When we were shown to our room, we were shocked. It was not in the main building but in an isolated area near the desert-like surroundings. The room was tiny, very old, and felt completely unsafe – the glass door didn’t even lock properly. There was nothing comfortable or welcoming about it.

When we immediately went to the front desk to express our concerns and request a refund, the receptionist was again incredibly rude and dismissive. Instead of offering help, she simply told us “this is what you get – take it or leave it.”

This hotel is falsely advertised, unsafe, and managed by staff who clearly don’t care about their guests. We left immediately and could not imagine spending a single night here. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else – this is not a true 4-star hotel and was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had while traveling.

Shower in our room very small. We did not have a car. If you wanted to go to the town centre Ubers were crazy expensive

The hotel was perfect for our beach holiday. Very relaxing stay, our room had a wonderful sea view and it was great to have the use of the hotel swimming pool and gardens when we wanted. Staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful, all very efficient and created a relaxed, family atmosphere. A few restaurants within walking distance of the hotel but hotel food was very good too. Would definitely recommend.

Thank you Hotel Stefania, for a great start for my 30th birthday! I highly recommend to stay here, we were situated in the villa just across from the main hotel and we much preferred this as it was so peaceful. A quick walk through the garden for a delicious buffet breakfast every morning set the day up perfectly. Within a heartbeat you’re then stepping onto Pittulongu beach - beautiful blue waters and plenty of food and drink options too. All of the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. A wonderful first impression made by Mona at reception as she gave us a little tour and history of the hotel - she is fabulous! Antonella from reception on checkout was also fantastic and very charismatic. Ristorante Nino’s served tasty traditional Sardinian food, great service by the pool for aperitivo by the enthusiastic waiters, too. We will definitely be returning, Grazie!

So i chose this hotel because of reviews and it is near the beach. Not what i was expecting its a quirky look and in rooms does look outdated. The hotel is split in two and i was based on the side away from main hotel. I didnt like that especially at nights when you had to walk over alone.

Besides that, the staff were friendly and warm from Martha (blonde hair receptionist) to the restaurant and bar staff. Mickeal looked after me well including the owner i believe (elder gey hair man) and the tall bar man was nice....i forgot his name.

I couldn't use pool too cold neither the beach but it was a beautiful view. Breakfast was ok and dinner well not sure there was a lot of options but im a fussy eater.... i stuck to seabass and potato lol which was lush.

Better to have a car you are secluded, you can take the bus but runs every 1 hr. Overall it was a great experience there would love yo see what its like in the peak of summer. May go back.

My experience at this lovely hotel was just fantastic. It was all of the luxury of a beach front hotel with beautiful views and all the charm of an old world, Italian villa with such rich history. You can feel the love that the owners and staff have for this place. Truly spectacular. I would love to return some day.

Excellent stay. Hotel is a bit outdated but nothing you can't overlook, it adds to the charm. Comfortable. Property is a bit far from everything. Bus stop near hotel. Great private parking if you choose to rent a car, which is recommended in order to reach all the beautiful beaches. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful with booking car rental, transportation to and from airport and excursions. Food at hotel is delicious. Restaurant staff very friendly and attentive.Great access to private beach. Would recommend.

Every staff member that we met was amazing. The atmosphere of the hotel is like family. My dinner at Nino's was the best we had during our two trip around Italy. Quick walk to the beach, lovely clean pool .... the breakfast buffet was the very best I've ever come across! Delicious homemade items. We will for sure be back!

Stayed 4 night in the middle of September. Property and service were great. Amazing food at hotel restaurant. Property is a couple of minutes from the beach. The ocean view that property offers is amazing.
The area where hotel sits doesn’t offer much but the beach and about 4 restaurant options. However, bus service to olbia is across the street. Hotel would also help reserving taxi services if needed.

Great location on the beach

Wonderful location next to the beach and with private beach area for hotel guests. There were also several great beach restaurants for lunch and dinner.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and they had a very nice breakfast service. The hotel did a great job managing their service during COVID - we felt safe during our stay.

The hotel is also located next to a bus stop which takes you to Olbia in just 15-20 minutes.

The hotel property itself is a bit outdated and needs a little facelift but this factor was more than offset by it's great location and friendly staff.

Lovely hotel, great location just moments from the beach. Breakfast was lovely. The bed could have been comfier but it was fine. My advise bring a towel if your only the for bed and breakfast or you'll be paying for a sunbed at the cost of €25 per day....
Some lovely restaurants around, if you want pizza definitely try Al Volo!

Fabulous hotel and restaurant close to beach. Fabulous proprietors with a fantastic team of loyal hardworking staff. Our second time here and will definitely return as it ticks all the boxes for a relaxing holiday in such a beautiful place. Everything was fab no complaints at all. What more can you ask for fab accommodation, fab food, friendly staff, beautiful beach, sunshine, Aperol Spritzers and only 15 mins from Olbia Airport. Looking at booking for next year already. Fantastic beach location

Hotel Stephania is ideally located on the most picturesque beach. It is a long way out of town, but a local bus runs right past the hotel, and costs only €1.50. There is a transfer service available but it is not cheap & the taxis cost even more. There are a few restaurants/ pizzarias in Pittalongue, but other than one supermarket, there are no other shops. If you like bars & window/ souvenir shopping then head into Olbia.

The reception staff are helpful, the rooms are dated but clean. The restaurant is limited in choice & more expensive than elsewhere. Beach towels & sun beds are available for a fee, even on the reserved area for the hotel, but the charges vary according to your booking status (B&B full board etc). The pool and garden area is lovely. Tours are available to book through the hotel, and you really get the personal touch as the tour groups are very small (maximum of 8 people on the Tavorlora island boat trip). Would recommend car hire.

Nice little hotel a short walk from the beach

Hotel Stefania is set in a very quiet area only 15 minutes from Olbia airport which is very convenient after you've picked up a rental car. The village in which the hotel is set is small with only around 5 other restaurants to choose from. The hotel is set within nice grounds with a small pool and jacuzzi. The staff were amazing, always helpful, always accommodating with special thanks to Marco on reception. The breakfast was relatively limited but nice with great views out to the sea and the sunrise. We didn't eat in the restaurant at night as we wanted to explore the coast looking outside of our area. The only improvements I would suggest needing is tidying up the aesthetics of the hotel where it was looking a little old in area i.e. worn paint work, older looking furniture building material left in the car park. There's also a lot of refugees on the beach (2 per to every beach goer!) which became irritating to be sold to every 60 seconds but this was apparent on most easily accessed beaches we visited.

Pros :
- Great beach with free beach sun loungers only 1 minute walk away (no need for expensive parking!!)
- Mama Beach restaurant - One of the best beach bars on the island
- Inexpensive area - the restaurants further north charge €9 for an orange juice!
- Easy access from Olbia airport

Cons :
- Hotel needs a little modernisation in parts
- Too many refugees constantly trying to sell you towels or plastic toys on the beach (not the hotel's fault however)

Pretty hotel by the beach

Our second holiday to Sardinia, this time we hired a car, so had freedom to sightsee. Well worth doing because it's such a pretty island & so many places to visit, & really diverse. Pittulongu beach is lovely, a long stretch of sand, and clear blue sea. There are 3 good restaurants on the beach too, you can even have take away pizza.

It might have the services of a 4-star and although the staff is helptul - mind you they did not bother asking at check-out whether we enjoyed our stay or not (maybe not this important!). My biggest disappointment was that for a 4-star, you would have expected that it keeps up with time and still not be holding sofas from the 80-90s, old style rug, even have fake flowers in the foyer. It certainly needs to be re-decorated to be considered as a proper 4-star. Also very annoying, internet or wi-fi only accessible from the lobby. Otherwise great location, 2 mins walk from the beach.

We read reviews on Trip Advisor which slightly concerned us. But, when we stayed at Hotel Stefania, we felt most of these were unjust.
True, the hotel is in a quiet situation but it isn't inaccessible. It is a low-rise, attractive beach hotel with reasonable transport links and ideal for anyone who has hired a car (plenty of parking). It's only 10 minutes drive from the airport.
We loved the well-stocked gardens, the comfortable accommodation, and general cleanliness and can't praise all the - mainly multi-lingual - staff highly enough. The guests come from all parts of the world - Europe, Australia, USA and South America, which was interesting.
Although the breakfast is dubbed 'continental' there is plenty of choice - although no toast. I'm sure it would be available on request, as is a full cooked breakfast, which my husband ordered one day.
The breakfast room overlooks the pool and beach, and lunch is available there, too.
My one criticism is the smart restaurant where dinner is served. Everything looks great & the waiters are highly professional - but I hated the food, both on the daily menu and on the a la carte menu. On several nights, there was nothing at all that I liked and I dined on omelettes and tomato salads (which were fine but boring). If restaurant dinners improve, then I really think that Hotekl Stefania would be hard to beat.

Lovely place, Italian 4star, so clean but basic. Lovely restaurant attached to the hotel would definitely recommend the half board option. We stayed 3 nights got a scooter and travelled round. Couple of minutes walk to beach with a couple of beach bars/restaurants. Went in June beautifully hot would recommend for a quiet basic stay.

Very nice intimate hotel with friendly staff

We had a very nice stay at Stefania boutique hotel.
The hotel is perfect for couples looking for a quiet stay in great and cosy surroundings.
However, what we thought was the best, was the staff. This goes from reception, cleaning, bar and waitors.
It is a good idea to hire a car when staying at this hotel, because the surrounding area is certainly wort visiting. And having a car just makes more convenient.
We would gladly recommend this hotel.

Not 4 stars worthy at best 3 stars (and that’s pushing it).
Hotels needs a lot of renovation, we had room which was leaking, the only solution was to put a carpet over it.
Half of the equipment in the room were not working (lights, bidet, etc).
Workers are not the nicest, the owner is always around shouting on his workers or even on the guests. We had a scene where he insulted one of the guests.
Food/restaurant is overpriced and overrated.
Really disappointing and frustrating experience.

Im Grossen und Ganzen fanden wir das Hotel Gut. Im Zimmer war es recht muffig und die Sauberkeit liess zu Wünschen übrig. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr schön und nahe an einem schönen Strand. Wir empfehlen ein Auto zu Mieten da man nicht viel möglichkeit hat ohne ein Fahrzeug. Das Mieten des Autos ist sehr unkompliziert an der Rezeption möglich.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit nettem Personal. Alles sauber und gut gepflegt. Es wurde täglich geputzt und es gab keinen Schimmel. Einzig die Lüftung und Klimaanlage könnte mal gereinigt werden (Staub im Filter).

Das Essen im Restaurant war wirklich richtig lecker. Es gab jeden Tag mindestens ein Fischgericht und mehrere Gerichte zur Auswahl (Tagesmenü 3 Gänge: 40€). Außerdem konnte man ala cart essen. Die Kellner waren sehr nett.
Das Frühstücksbüffet hat immer leicht variiert und es gab eine große Auswahl.

Gelegentlich gab es abends Live-Musik im kleinen Rahmen.

Der Strand ist nur wenige Meter entfernt (die Straße runter).

Einzig die hoteleigenen Liegen am Strand kosten 25€ pro Tag.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht, von der Rezeption gut beraten über Ausflugsmöglichkeiten, welche sie dann auch organsierten. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr schön, mit dem Linienbus erreicht man in circa 20 Minuten das Stadtzentrum Olbia. Das eigene Restaurant liegt eher im oberen Preissegment.

Hotel ist maximal absolut in die Jahre gekommen.
Zimmer sind extrem hellhörig.
Preis/Leistung stimmt gar nicht. Viel zu teuer für das was man geboten bekommt.
Das angepriesene Michelin Restaurant ist auch nicht zu empfehlen. Essen war nicht lecker und lieblos angerichtet. Und auch hier viel zu teuer für die Qualität und den Service

Struttura assolutamente gradevole, molto comoda, personale molto gentile, ottimo il ristorante.
Un po' trascurata nei particolari, per esempio rubinetteria nei bagni e impianto elettrico datato. Pulizia non perfetta.

Flott utgangspunkt

Etter å ha vært 5 dager på Sardinia sjekket vi inn på Stefania hotell, i resepsjonen møtte vi Mona som gav oss alt vi trengte av informasjon om hotellet.
Vi ble også oppgradert og bodde i en tilstøtende bygning til hotellet. Det var kjempebra, det hadde kjøleskap og en liten balkong pluss en hage med solstoler etc. Senga var så som så, men liker man det litt hardt fungerer det.
Frokost var inkludert, den var veldig innholdsrik. Det eneste var kaffemaskin som dessverre kanskje ikke hadde den beste kaffen. Tipper man kunne kjøpe en god kopp kaffe i baren på hotellet..
Det var også kort vei til stranda med flere små spisesteder.
Restauranten på hotellet rakk vi dessverre ikke teste.
Alt i alt var det kjempebra. Anbefaler å leie bil for å utforske mest mulig omkringliggende strender, små byer, samt Olbia.

Un cadre très agréable

Hôtel proche de la plage, bâtiments étalés dans un joli jardin, avec vue sur la mer au loin. Très belle terrasse pour le petit-déjeuner qui est très copieux. Bon restaurant dans une salle agréable.
Mais des détails qui font que la chambre ne correspond pas à un quatre étoiles : mobilier de base, éraflure dans la peinture sur les murs et les meubles, salle de bain vieillote, rien pour étendre ses serviettes de plage…

Sehr schönes kleines und feines Hotel. Liegt nur 2-3min von einem sehr schönen ebenfalls kleinen und tollen Strand entfernt. Das Haus ist super interessant eingerichtet. Das Personal war absolut Spitze. Hat in englisch und deutsch jederzeit geholfen und Auskünfte gegeben. Würden wir wieder buchen!

Notre séjour a été extrêmement agréable.
L'hotel est très bien équipé, la piscine et les jaccuzis sont très agréables.
Le personnel de l'hôtel est lui aussi sympathique et apporte de bons conseils sur les endroits à découvrir dans la région.
Non loin d'Olbia et à 1 minute à pieds de la mer, l'hôtel est aussi parfaitement situé.

Skuffende oplevelse

Poolområdet er hyggeligt, men man kan ikke ligge omkring poolen, som desuden er lille og ikke speciel ren. Men det er det bedste ved hotellet. Det var ikke muligt at betale for at tjekke ud senere, da vi havde et aftenfly hjem (men sådan er det jo, hvis der er fuld booket). Vi fik i stedet at vide, at vi kunne bruge hotellets faciliteter, men da vi lage ned os på hotellets strandområde, skulle vi betale for det, fordi vi var tjekket ud - det var ret skuffende. Der er heller ikke nogen bade (kun udenfor ved poolen) eller omklædningsrum, kun toiletterne i receptionen (som der desuden ikke er lås på). De var egentlig søde i receptionen, men da vi om eftermiddagen vil booke en taxa til at køre os til lufthavnen om aften, kan de ikke finde nogen taxi, fordi det er en travl dag. I dette tilfælde ville et 4-stjernet hotel (der ligger 15 min. fra lufthavnen) normalt have deres egen shuttelservice/bil, hvis de ved, at der er tidspunkter, hvor deres gæster ikke kan få en taxa til lufthavnen. I stedet fik vi udleveret en rejseplan der krævede flere skift med busser til at komme i lufthavnen, en tur der vel og mærket min. ville tage en time. De fik dog senere hen på eftermiddagen alligevel skaffet os en taxi. I baren er de langsomme og ikke særlig servicemindet.
Alt i alt vil jeg ikke anbefale at bo her (alle andre steder jeg har boet på Sardinien har været bedre), og jeg kommer helt sikkert ikke igen.

Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es liegt nur 10 Minuten vom Zentrum von Olbia entfernt, wo man am Abend immer ein gutes Restaurant zum Essen findet. Auch sonst erreicht man mit einer kurzen Autofahrt alle schönen Strände nördlich und südlich von Olbia. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Zimmer war sauber. Auch das Angebot beim Frühstück war sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Superbe endroit pour un petit séjour, vraiment à 2 pas de la plage de pittulongu (et quelques minutes à pieds de celle del pellicano) a coté d'un arrêt de bus ce qui peut être pratique pour se déplacer si on est pas véhiculé.
Le petit déjeuner et les repas sont aussi très bon!

Vad mer behövs än en strand och ställen att äta på

Vi bodde i komplexet bara 100m från huvudbyggnaden. Vi hade en egen uteplats med varsin solstol. Det fanns dock ingen pool vid komplexet utan den var i huvudområdet.
Rummet var lagom stor, vi fick plats med båda våra väskor på golvet och det fanns en gardeorb att hänga upp kläderna i. De var daglig städning, de svabbade golvet så rent blev det. Men de gav oss aldrig nya kaffekoppar eller dricksglas. Vi mötte städerskan en gång och bad henne byta glasen. Hon tog dem och sköljde ur dem i handfatet och torkade samt ställde porslinet på sin plats. Det var sista gången jag drack ur de glasen.
Frukosten bestod av mest kall mat och någon varmlagat, det fanns mackor, pålägg, yoghurt och olika kakor. Det var en okej frukost, det enda jag blev missnöjd med var när jag under två dagar tog av äggröran och fick knastra på stora äggskal.
Vi åt en gång på hotellets restaurang, det var förbestämda trerättersmiddagar 25€/person. Priset fick vi veta när vi checkade ut för servitörerna kunden bara tala Italienska. Maten var ok men jag skulle nog rekommendera den första pizzrian/restaurangen vid stranden. De hade god mat och öppet till 22:00.
Vi tog 16:30 bussen som stannade precis vid hotellet in till Olbi nästan varje dag för middag. Åkte hem med sista bussen (nr 4) kl 19:00. Det kostade 1,5€/person.

Stranden och miljön gjorde att vi tycker att vistelsen på hotellet blev bra. Vad med behöver man på en solsemester än en strand och restauranger.

Hotel a conduzione familiare, molto grazioso a pochi passi dalla bianchissima spiaggia di pittulongu. Ideale per ferie estive!!! Camera confortevole in tutto. Ristorante accanto all 'hotel e a bordo piscina. Purtroppo ho soggiornato solo un giorno ma penso già ad una vacanza futura in questo angolo di bellezza.

Sehr einfaches Hotel in Strandnähe. Zimmer haben leider zu wenig Steckdosen und sind sehr hellhörig. Mussten Lampen ausstecken um das Natel zu laden. Abendprogramm gibt es grundsätzlich keines und wenn, dann nur bis 23.30 Uhr. Ab da an gibt es auch keine Getränke mehr.
