The staff were attentive and very professional. The only downfall was the property itself. It needs a major upgrade. There was a bunch of mold and grout in the bathroom, holes in the linens, and stained throw pillows. Bed was comfortable and the room was large. Water pressure was fantastic but the temperature could have been warmer. Biggest complaint is that the WiFi was very spotty in my room and ate into my data plan when I wasn’t near the restaurant/bar area. Food was okay and overpriced; typical for a tourist resort. Rooms are not soundproof so it’s very noisy in the morning as people are getting breakfast and housekeeping is turning over rooms. I would not rate this a four star hotel, it is barely average.

The property was extremely clean and the staff at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful. The views from the balcony are incredible and despite the property being dated it is obviously very well cared for, as it is in good condition. The rooms are spacious the beds are comfortable and the linens were good quality. The location is peaceful and the balconies are spacious with incredible views. The breakfast buffet was tasty with a generous selection.

As we walked to check in the lady was so rude to us her name was teresa she told us to wait for her in very rude way, as we waiting on her another guest lady came in and asked her why did you hang up the phone on my face!! They started a very aggressive conversation teresa was very unprofessional with her.

The hotel in good condition with amazing views and great infinity pool. However, breakfast was awful, with cold food (scrambled eggs or bacon).EVERY DAY THE SAME for six days we stayed there. Optional dinner overpriced and with small portions.
You must have a car as the hotel is located outside Olbia with very limited public transport.

Air con broke had to have someone in and reset the panel, fridge barely worked

We also accidentally forgot our child’s stuffed animal - after speaking to the hotel they said they would charge us 50 euro to send it home. That is just gauging us - we paid almost 700 for a terrible room in a terrible location and then to gauge us for the return of the stuffed animal is terrible.

We have just stayed in 4 other hotels in Rome Florence and Sardinia and this hotel is not worth it even for one night.
Don’t stay here.

My daughter and I stayed at Luna Lughente while in Sardinia. I can’t speak highly enough of their staff. Very friendly and super helpful in getting us information we needed and scheduling of reservations for the beach. While the hotel was clean and the view was amazing, the look and feel is extremely dated and is in desperate need of a renovation. It feels and looks sad.

Not a four star hotel.

We are a family of four who stayed at Luna Lughente, advertised as a 4-star hotel, but the experience fell far short.

Positives: The pool is large, clean and great for kids. The hotel itself is clean, rooms are decent, and views from the pool and café are lovely (though beds and pillows were uncomfortably hard). Parking is plentiful, it’s quiet at night, and beach towels/umbrellas are provided. A few staff stood out as genuinely friendly and helpful, especially at reception and in the café, and cleaning staff were excellent. Breakfast was decent and dinners varied.

Negatives: Service in the café was shockingly poor—staff rarely greeted guests, made us feel unwelcome, and were unhelpful. Coffee options (breakfast) were limited to a poor-quality machine, and food quality at lunch was disappointing (including undercooked chicken in a salad). Staff scolded my wife and kids for sitting at the “wrong” table despite it being quiet, and lunch service was very slow, with other guests also complaining. I was even told off for using the main door instead of the revolving one. Reception staff (beyond one or two exceptions) were unhelpful, offering only a generic restaurant list and refusing to make reservations.

Many staff spoke little English, making communication difficult, and Italian-speaking guests were clearly given better treatment. Overall, poor service overshadowed the hotel’s positives, and I cannot recommend staying here.

Lovely pool area with exceptional views. Nice bedrooms with decent sized bed & bathroom, cleaned daily. Good choice of food at breakfast time. Although I would recommend having another tea/coffee machine. There always seemed to be a long queue for that. Also, an option of fried eggs would’ve been nice.
We had 1 issue with the manager/ staff - we were a large group of 9 people, 5 rooms in total. We got lunch from outside 1 day & they refused us permission to sit anywhere other than our rooms to eat it. I explained that we were too many people to be squeezed into 1 room but they still didn’t help. I also had my elderly mother with me which they didn’t take into consideration. I asked for any little quiet corner anywhere on the grounds that we could use but they refused. I found them to be very unaccommodating & unhelpful, even after discussing with the manager.
Other than that issue, all good.

Beautiful surroundings and views. Food and drinks were delicious, a bit pricey though. Location is great, beautiful beach nearby, not far from town, but you need to have the car, as public transport is limited, and roads are not pedestrian friendly, no grocery shops in walkable safe distance. Pool area is lovely, and quite, beautiful view from the pool area. Rooms and beds are comfortable but a bit dated. Overall lovely stay and we will be back.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. To be honest, we were a bit nervous about our stay after reading the mixed reviews but we actually settled in quite well.

I will begin with the positives. The cleanliness was impeccable, I honestly have never seen a hotel room so clean before. The cleaning staff were super friendly too! Room sizes are just perfect, with plenty of storage. The staff working in the restaurant and reception are also lovely and accommodating. We only had breakfast though so can’t say for evening or lunch.

We noticed a gentleman working there for the full three days that we stayed and every morning and night, he had a smile on his face and no question was too much for him. Parking is free which is great. Free water is given every day along with fresh towels. I’m not quite sure why some reviews are annoyed or dissatisfied with the location of the hotel. Quite baffling as I’d think it was normal to do research before travelling anywhere to figure out your planned activities, what you want to see etc.

Sardinia is a beautiful island and using this hotel as a base is honestly the best thing we did. Anyone reading this review, please hire a car!!! Or OF COURSE you will be disappointed and blame the hotel for your bad planning!

There was a few things that did let us down but nothing major. Luckily, the weather was not too hot so the AC wasn’t necessarily needed. Ours was blowing out warm air but

This place was clean and basic. We were disappointed that on arrival, we were told the pool was not open, as the hotel had opened the night before (for the season). We were excited to use the pool (a huge pull to book it) and felt that it should’ve been ready for operation when the hotel opened. The hotel feels outdated, but as stated everything was clean. Beautiful setting, clean well maintained hotel. Generally a pleasant experience. Like other commitments before, most staff helpful and considerate. Two of the receptionist were the opposite. The bus to the beach is not free. You secure a seat by paying for a very over priced sun bed .
You do need transport. Bus and trains easy to use but somewhat unreliable.
Enjoyable breakfasts. Huge choice. Dinner at the restaurant was very good too. Beware of taxi prices. Especially if it’s organised by the hotel.

Great little spot just north of Olbia making it a great location to access city and further up the coast. The pool area is beautiful, food good and reasonable in price. Wine even better!

Rooms true Sardinian style and AC was great! No issues. Reception staff recommended some great restaurants and local wine tastings.

You need a car!! Taxis are expensive and sparse

Fantastic views and great pool overlooking the bay. Lovely room and friendly staff. Very steep drive up to the hotel, closest shops and restaurants 40 mins walk. There's a beach shuttle during the day and a bus to town until 7pm. The location necessitates car rental.

They provide a free shuttle to the beach which is nice with couple of fun nice restaurants there but this is the 2 only things to do . I guess you need to rent a car to be able to do things

We really enjoyed our stay at Luna Lughente. The views are beautiful and interesting. We loved the room and the large patio. We looked forward to having free breakfast each morning. The coffee machine made delicious cappuccinos and hot chocolate. The pool was beautiful and the hotel was nice. Even though there were plenty of guests, it was so quiet. Hotel staff was friendly and spoke good English. The lady at the front that did our check in was nice and very helpful. She made me feel better about visiting Italy for the first time. My only complaint was with the breakfast, the cooked food like eggs, bacon, sausage was cold every morning even when I got there right when the buffet opened. Beautiful hotel with attentive staff

We stayed at this hotel in a suite at short notice, having moved from a hotel we booked which was very disappointing.

Our room was clean and well presented from a design point of view. The shower was powerful and hot, and the views from our room and from the hotel in general (infinity pool area and the bar/restaurant area) are nothing less than spectacular, day and night.

The receptionist when we arrived was so friendly and helpful, and the staff in general were very attentive. The restaurant is nice, although I thought that some attention to detail was lacking, such as no salt and pepper offered with the food, no olive oil or balsamic with the bread, that kind of thing. My steak was a bit tough, which does happen, but the waiter was very apologetic, and I noted that our bottle of wine was taken off the bill as a result.

All in all, a great stay, and an unforgettable experience at this hotel.

Beautiful but what todo during siestas

We stayed there as a family all booked separately so they was kind enough to get us all rooms next too each other and they gave us an upgrade to a first floor balcony with a breath taking view. The room was lovely and spacious. Tv only has one English Channel but it didn’t really matter as we was mostly on the balcony with the family as they all connect.

The restaurant is very fancy and the staff are very professional. The menus consists on mostly sea food. I’m not a sea food eater but they had a few other options. Which was lovely and good portions.

The drinks are a little expensive €4.50 for a shot of any spirit but if you wanted coke with it (disarono and coke) it jumps up to €10 as it’s classified as a long drink. But it’s something I would expect with it being a high class hotel. The staff at the bar were amazing. I didn’t catch their name but talk far hair man seemed to be a manager was very helpful efficient and friendly. He was all our favourite!

The pool being an infinity pool is drop dead beautiful but be prepared it’s freezing

The island itself has a lot of history and beautiful scenes so I’d go into the town and in the beaches as they are worth a look although if you are going out for the day make sure you eat a lot a breakfast cause it’s hard to get anything real to eat between 2:30-6pm as it’s seista time. We mostly spent time at the beach and relaxed. Most relaxed and needed holiday. So this is a 5* holiday to me. And Thankyou to all the staff.

Hotel is convenient for travelers who want to be in close distance to Olbia and to the beaches and locations on the west coast like Pittolungo and Porto Rotundo, Golfo Arranci etc which are only a few kms away. You do need a car to get around.

RUN AWAY, such a poor hotel...

In few words: not a 4* hotel. We could not stay a single night in there and had to leave asap.
Positive:
- The man that carry the luggage, really nice guy.
Others:
- Cleanliness: just disgusting and not acceptable! That’s definitely the worst point.
Yellow pillow (I mean, YELLOW), dirty carpet in the corridors and rug in the room, not-so-clean duvet on the bed, pubic hair in the bathroom, few bugs all around (ants, spider, and some others)… and say hello to the “cleaner” that left her/his full handprint on the window…
- Broken sink (no one checking the room before letting the guests go in?)
- View: on the website, you think you will see the see, the swimming pool,… in fact, you will see the industrial port of Olbia and enjoy the motorway noises!
- Privacy: all terraces are linked, meaning you can see your neighbours, step on the their terrace. Also, at some point, we saw a man on our terrace! We asked him to leave, as we were in the room, and he was surprised and tell “maintenance maintenance”. I believe the reception should call before, I can understand there are things to do with no delay but the reception should inform and ask the guests…
- Itchy stinky blanket, my grandma would have been sooo jealous!
- Mini bar: is this a joke? Few sodas, and a mini-mini Jaeger bootle (looks like a sample!)
- More personal, but I just found it not nice, decoration was really poor and cheap, no good material, strange choice of colors and equipment…

A generally nice hotel with good views from the lovely pool. It feels a little transient with a high turnover of guests (with close proximity to airport) but was a good stay overall. My only complaint would be lack of coffee making facilities in the rooms. You get water/coffee with breakfast but have to pay for this at all other times and in these temperatures, and its not a cheap hotel, I would have hope for / expected something in the room...

En el hotel me indicaron que no tenían otra habitación disponible, por lo que pedí que me cambiaran de hotel, y me dijeron que no era factible.

Superbe expérience pour 4 nuits

Hôtel un petit peu vieillissant mais qui reste très acceptable avec un bon standing général. Le petit déjeuner est super fourni, les repas au restaurant un peu limités en portion mais avec une bonne qualité, et le service agréable (ça dépend du personnel rencontré). La piscine est superbe, définitivement le point fort de Luna Lughente, mais il manque un espace jeu un peu fourni (pourquoi pas de billard, jeux de société ?).
Du reste, l'hôtel est propre et les chambres également, rien à redire sur ça. C'était plus ou moins ce qu'on attend d'un 4*, avec serviettes de plage gratuites. La vue est très jolie de la piscine mais tout un angle donne sur une zone industrielle et des travaux en cours au large de l'hôtel. J'y ai passé un bon séjour.

Nous nous sommes fiés aux notes et aux belles photos, nous avons été déçus.
L'hôtel vaut définitivement le détour pour sa vue incroyable mais le service et l'accueil ne sont pas au rendez-vous. L'établissement manque de \"chaleur\" et donne un effet \"fantôme\" en dehors des heures de petit déjeuner. Le personnel n'est pas particulièrement aimable et ne fait pas en sorte que le séjour soit relaxant et paisible.

Very good location with a great view. Comfortable room with good space and very easy to dry clothes on balcony. Fantastic pool going from shallow to deep with a great view and always shadow somewhere. Only downside that it was easily over crowded during breakfast och there was limited seats inside or in shadow. Staff working with breakfast didn’t look happy and was most of the time stressed. Rest of staff very service minded and friendly.

Sehr schönes Hotel. Toller Ausblick, sehr freundliches Personal. Saubere Zimmer und Anlage. Das Frühstück war das beste was wir je in einem Hotel erlebt haben. Wir würden definitiv wieder kommen. Getränke an der Bar leider sehr teuer. Ein Aperol Spritz für 10 Euro der zu 70 Prozent aus Eiswürfeln besteht zu übertrieben. Aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau und eine kleine Möglichkeit sich zu verbessern. Sonst alles sehr sehr gut. Danke.

Das Hotel befindet sich in einer wunderschönen Lage mit Blick auf Olbia und das Meer. Das Zimmer ist gross und komfortabel, mit einem grossen Balkon. Alles sehr sauber und ordentlich.
Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und professionell, das Restaurant bietet eine gute Auswahl an typischen Speisen und Weinen von der Region. Der Pool ist ein Traum!!!.
Ich werde gerne wiederkommen, ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt.

Dejligt hotel, ikke overfyldt

Booket værelse til 2 voksne og barn på 12 år. Den ene seng var ret kort, så det skal ikke være et stort barn.
Rigtig fin morgenmad. Rart poolområde. Man skal være opmærksom på at der mærkeligt nok ikke er parasoller ved alle solsenge ved poolen.

Hotel bellissimo , camera super panoramica con frigobar e bollitore per tisane etc
Forniscono teli mare da utilizzare nella stupenda piscina a sfioro
Pranzato al loro ristorante , ottima qualità e ottimo servizio
Peccato aver fatto solo una notte , come appoggio per prendere aereo la mattina dopo da Olbia (10 min dall’ aeroporto )

Sehr schönes Hotel und sehr sauber. Die Mitarbeiter sind alle freundlich und entgegenkommend. Die Zimmer sind ziemlich groß und der Essbereich befindet sich auf der großen Dachterrasse mit schönem Ausblick. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen. :-)

Fint og rent hotel.Ligger litt utenfor alt, men fungerer greit med Taxi. Flott bassengområde. Bra frokost, men anbefaler ikke restauranten.Dårlig mat og service.Ingen andre restauranter i gåavstand så spiste inne i Olbia.

Goed hotel, met infinity pool. Ietwat afgelegen.

Goed en best wel chic hotel.
Zorg wel dat je met een (huur)auto bent, want het ligt ietwat afgelegen, buiten de stad en langs een drukke weg, onderaan de heuvel.
Maar het uitzicht en het zwembad (infinity pool) maakt een hoop goed.

Hôtel parfait à 5 mn d’Olbia

Très bien accueilli en français par Katia.
Surclassement de la chambre sympathique
Superbe vue du balcon sur Olbia et la rade
Chambre confortable et spacieuse bien équipée
Belle piscine vaste avec une vue à couper le souffle
Très bon petit déjeuner.
Un hôtel Resort qui mérite ses étoiles avec un très bon rapport qualité prix.
Super cocktail au bar et dîner possible (dommage simplement que ,fin saison oblige sans doute, carte limitée ce soir là uniquement aux pizzas)
La belle plage sûre et propre est à 5 mn en voiture et Olbia idem)
Si nous revenons un jour à Olbia nous séjournerons à nouveau dans cet hôtel

Das Hotel war zauberhaft! Schön eingerichtet, toller Infinity-Pool. Das Personal an der Rezeption und das Housekeeping waren hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Frühstück hatte eine megatolle Auswahl. Leider war der Service im Restaurant nicht vorhanden. Ich würde das Servicepersonal arrogant und ignorant nennen. Es mag daran liegen, dass teilweise morgens beim Frühstück die selben Mitarbeiter arbeiteten wie am Abend im Restaurant- aber das war wirklich schade. Dennoch haben wir den Aufenthalt sehr genossen:)

C est un bel établissement bien entretenu. Les chambres sont spacieuse et propre même si la déco n était pas vraiment à mon goût. Seul bémol, il manque des prises dans la chambre. Le de l hôtel, c est vraiment la piscine avec vue. Très bon petit déjeuner. Voiture indispensable pour découvrir le coin
