Only breakfast is offered but lots of restaurants close by. Just a few blocks from the virgin hotsprings and the center of town and central mercado, where you can get fresh juices and lunch or dinner cheap.

Nightmare Experience - Avoid at All Costs

This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever endured. The room was absolutely disgusting and unsafe for anyone to stay in. Black mold covered multiple areas, making the air feel suffocating and the environment a health hazard. The room was filthy, with grime and dirt in every corner. To make matters worse, there was no functioning air conditioning, leaving the room unbearably hot and uncomfortable.

The advertised “breakfast” was laughable—completely inedible and poorly presented. It was clear there was no care or effort put into this aspect of the stay. The entire property felt neglected and mismanaged. I ended up leaving the hotel shortly after checking in and demanded a refund and the owner had the audacity to say there wasn’t any mold even after I showed her pictures. I had to book another hotel last-minute just to escape this nightmare.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place entirely. It’s not worth the risk to your health, safety, or sanity. Stay far, far away.

I’d love to rate this hotel better. The location is great. It’s a cool old building. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The problem was the room. Our room had no windows to the outside. The window faced the interior courtyard of the hotel. There was no air conditioning and no air circulation so the room was stifling and stuffy. The noise from the lobby reverberated throughout our room. We didn’t sleep at all and sleep is the number one necessary requirement of a hotel. This the 2 star rating.

The primary purpose of a hotel is a place to sleep. It was impossible to sleep at this property. They kept roosters that were very loud all night long.. we returned home tired and ill.

Sweet Spot in Banos

We stayed for a couple nights. The accommodations were great and perfect for our stay in Banos. We didn't use the room much as we were out exploring, but the staff was helpful. The location is convenient for food and other services. The Wifi was helpful.

My only issue was the doors are locked from the inside with a key, so I found myself locked into the hotel at sunrise when I wanted to get out and walk around. I found a back door, into a lot, and then climbed the gate to leave. The doors were finally open when I returned closer to 8am.

Decent hotel! Make sure to ring the door bell if you go out because they lock up early and your key wont get you into the hotel. If you go out early same thing you have to wait for someone to wake up and let you out!

Great service- hotel in disrepair

Amazing service. But this hotel is in great disrepair.
It is extremely loud- you can hear the folks in the kitchen in the morning and evening. The mirrors were faded, the room door didn’t open easily as the handle was broken. The bed was fine, but the bathroom smelled awful and though it was clean, it was in disrepair with tiles kissing in the shower and holes in the walls.

Ubicación cercana al centro. Aunque cuenta con parqueo es complicado para carros grandes debido a como ha sido construido. La habitación que me asignaron no incluía las características de la habitación que se eligió en la aplicación. A pesar de que uno indica el número de personas que se hospedará, no habian suficientes toallas en la habitación, aunque luego de solicitarlas fueron entregadas.

The hotel is located in the center of the city very close to the main church and all of the downtown restaurants. It is also very close to the volcanic baths. The hotel room was spotlessly clean. They also have FREE on-site parking, which was very nice because there is absolutely no free parking in the area where this hotel is located because of its downtown location.

Only thing we did not like is they locked us out at night time....and very noisy...school across the street and busy road no screens on window and no A/C had to keep window open for fresh air....breakfast was ok...

Great location!

Great location, close to \"the action\" but a couple of blocks from the noise. Easy to walk to the hot springs. Only complaint is that there were two pillows covered with shams that weren't especially clean. There were no pillows with pillowcases that were changed daily with the sheets.

Fantastic location! Next the thermal waters,, 1 block from the basilica. A mountain bike rental next door. View of a waterfall from by my bedroom. Great full breakfast! Bedroom was very clean, but bathroom smelled of mold.

We are self touring areas of Ecuador. Banos being a town chosen for the hot springs. This hotel being simple, basic & clean. Busy street with school yard nearby. Was glad we had white noise machine for sleep. Walking distance to hot spring bath house.

Takes a lot of patience...

I wanted to like this place because it is a very charming setting. It is old, but well maintained. Very open and comfortable. But... The toilet leaked in the bathroom and we never could get them to fix it. We had multiple rooms, so we closed it off and shared our remaining bathrooms, but this is not an option for most. The dining and event area is in a central courtyard and the rooms are on 3 floors around it, so noise it amplified and sent down the short hallways. On a normal day not so bad, but one night they had a huge party going on with many adults and children. I can only describe the sound in the rooms as being like trying to sleep in an ice skating rink full of the echos of shrieking children. Again, not so bad if they quit at a decent hour, but despite several assurances that it would be quit in \"30 minutes,\" it went until nearly midnight on a Wednesday night. The staff is very nice, but the desk person/manager seemed pretty un-engaged. We never saw the promised complimentary breakfast. They did let us check out late, which was a nice accomdation.

First of all we were never asked to check in, we could have been anybody !
Our room was good, the bed was huge & comfy & it was kept clean.
There was loud music playing at all times and noisy children running about all the time, one night my husband had to go down to reception to ask them to keep the noise down because we could not sleep, they did quieten down after that.
The wifi in the room was patchy so we had to stand in the corridor to get a reasonable signal.
Renovations were going on during our stay.

Choose another place!

I wad so looking forward to this hotel! I had been stayong on hostels and was anxious for a hotel which supposedly should cater somewhat to the clients.
This hotel was a disappointment! The staff were not the least bit interested in trying to understand my limited Spanish. I used my map and tried to ask where there were restaurants nearby the park and they pointed me to their dining room and said \"no pizza\". I asked did they speak any English even poquito.. they said no and looked away!

The cleaning staff came second day at 8:45 at night and I assume wanted to clean my room but who knows ! The location is not as depicted nor did I get a quiet room that I requested. There is a huge construction yard across the corner which started work grinding and banging at 6 am and one day/night ran 22 hours until 4:30 am!!! Yes am! Also right across the street is a grafiti plastered concrete wall that surrounds a school soccer field! Not quite the location suggested in the Booking.com ads!
They wanted to charge $3 per k to do laundry when a local laundry service asked $0.80 per kilo..
There are plenty of other places to go on cleaner streets and close to resturants and parks and shops. For less money!

Excelente servicio, no les voy a hablar de lo que ya califique con estrellas, les voy a hablar de la calidad humana del servicio que recibí, durante mi estadía mi señora madre murió en mi país de origen y tuve que realizar una serie de tramites de forma remota, la ayuda prestada por el personal del hotel fue de las alta calidad humana y solidaria no tengo palabras para agradecerles, sin duda volveré a visitar este hotel y lo recomiendo sin duda lo disfrutaran.

Debe cambiar la condición de oferta del desayuno

El hotel es bonito en general , pero hay habitaciones mejores y peores! El Parqueadero es fatal , de aspecto y vista, pero la salida sólo lo puede hacer un experto ya que es muy estrecha , además la reserva en línea ofrece desayuno incluido pero en realidad no lo dan , a menos que haga la reserva el día que llega al hotel, pero ya es demasiado tarde para cancelación de la misma!
