On this stay I had the cleaning lady unlock my door at 8:15am zero knocking and came fully into the room and then said excuse me.. at 10:40am 20 minutes before 11:00am check out this lady did it again unlocked door walked in the room no knocking and then asked me when I was leaving… luckily I was packed up and on my way out the door losing 2 hours of sleep from the early morning wake up room intrusion!!

This is an old hotel. There’s no way around that. But at least in the room we had it was clean and somewhat updated. There are a few updates that could still be done in the bathroom, but we have no complaints. The fridge worked well and the room was quite spacious. The space of what it seemed in the pics was why we chose this hotel over another one in the area because their rooms are very small (like couldn’t hardly walk around the bed as it took up the whole room small). We were very pleased that the room was as spacious as it appeared in the pics. The AC worked wonderfully and the mattress was very comfy. Overall for the price we would definitely consider staying here again as it gives us the ability to have a few days away to visit family without being crowded in with family.

(I wasn’t aware it was a two level hotel, but the end with our Non-Smoking King room was indeed two floors.) I said, no we would take the King room we booked. Not sure what that was about, but the stairs were easy to navigate and I’m glad I decided to keep the room as is. Also, if you’re staying here, please respect their pet policy. It seems that some people are disrespecting that rule and that it’s created problems for people who are just a small business owner. Don’t be those people who do that. It’s rude.

We arrived later in the evening around 9pm to check in. First reaction walking in was that the sheets/bed looked dirty. Bed was made but just looked dirty. My wife and I grabbed dinner on the way so we used the table in the room. I couldn't sit all the way back in the chairs because they looked like they haven't been cleaned in 30 years from sitting in a shed somewhere. After eating I went to take a shower and an old used soap bar was half melted on the soap stand, water smelt funny as well. After getting ready for bed I noticed there was half drunken water bottles still on the night stand that weren't ours. Now I know the hotel price was cheap, but all of the ones in the area were within $5 of each other. I honestly told my wife I would have enjoyed staying in a tent out there more. Took me several days to decide to leave this review but it's honest and I don't want someone else's trip to be disappointed because of there choice of room.

We hardly had any hot water as a family of 3 it was not enough for even a 10 minute hot shower. Also the day of check out we had the dnd sign it was not 11 yet it was around 10:40 and house cleaning had barged in the room without knocking.

I was shocked this was such a nice place despite being in a small town which typically doesnt have great places to stay. Very very clean, spacious and almost luxurious. Bathtub was filling up with water while I showered and despite lots of rooms they had to put the very next guests above me who stomped and walked around loudly all evening hence why always best to get a top floor. Half the place was undergoing remodel which was encouraging to see! I will stay here again if I come back through.

Overall, for the price, I was very pleased! I give it 5 stars, considering what I paid for it. Clean sheets, no bugs, clean shower. There is some work that needs to continue. They have updated the lights, plugs, and switches. They still need to paint. But that didn’t bother me any. Again, it’s nothing fancy. And if you are looking for something to hang out in on a vacation, this is not the place. But!!… if you are looking for a place to sleep, shower, and shave, and very affordably, this worked for us!
