We stayed here for one night and was extremely happy with it. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. The manager told us where to park at Giethoorn and where to hire a boat enthusiastically. Parking is easy, we parked right outside the premises. Dinner is very nice and price is reasonable. Most guests sit outside to have drinks and get back indoors to eat as it was windy. However, there is no lift, it will cause some problems with heavy luggages. We packed only the essential items to bring them into our room and leave other things in our car. It was not a problem for us.

A magnificent heritage hotel set in beautiful surrounds makes a stay here one that you will always remember fondly. The excellent evening meal served outdoors due to the hot weather could not be faulted. Breakfast the following morning provided a fitting finale to a memorable stay.

I chose to stay in Vollehove completely based on the hotel which is an old palace. It was an excellent decision. The building and grounds are beautiful and wonderfully maintained. The hotel staff is so friendly and does everything to make us feel welcome. The dinner we had in the exquisite dining room was perfect! What a perfect way yo end a two week trip through the Netherlands.

Skulle være så godt. Levede bestemt ikke op til de 4 stjerner. Havde bestilt en junior suite. Den var mørk og trist på førstesalen i et aneks. Kun et lille vindue. Der var kun meget lidt varme på. Så en værelsestemperatur på 16-17 grader bidrog ikke til oplevelsen. Prisen stod slet ikke mål med oplevelsen. Der kommer vi ikke igen.

Prachtig gelegen in een park vol oude bomen en een kasteelruïne. Dit stadspaleis is een mooie uitvalsbasis om de Kop van Overijssel te ontdekken.
De kamer was netjes, schoon en met een prima badkamer. De inrichting met antieke meubels is passend bij de leeftijd van het pand. Er staat ook een goed koffie-apparaat en waterkoker.
Minpuntje waren de bedlampjes die slechts matig schijnsel geven en er mag meer aandacht geschonken worden aan het wegwerken van snoeren, dat zou het een stuk verzorgder maken.
Verder heerlijk geslapen en een raam wat gewoon open kan voor frisse lucht, dat zie je in moderne hotels niet meer.
Het ontbijt was subliem. De dag beginnen in een prachtige zaal met linnen gedekte tafels. De basis staat op tafel en op een buffet staat heerlijk vers brood en meer. Wat er niet is kun je vragen aan de gastheer/-vrouw.

Het is werkelijk een paleisje in het hart van het dorp Vollenhove! Gezellige ontvangst, heerlijke rode wijn en heerlijk ontbijt. Wat een sfeer! Voor mij helaas maar 1 klein minpuntje: geen airco op de kamer terwijl wij net een heel warme nacht hadden. En als je lang bent, zou ik dat bij het boeken van de kamer even vermelden. Er zijn kamers met lage plafonds. Maar dit mag de pret voor mij zeker niet drukken!
