We choose this hotel because of location in the nature and facilities (sauna and pool) for a short weekend. It was a big disappointment since pool and sauna was out of service. It was a general maintenance (should be planned in advance), so it should be indicated at the booking process ‘it will be closed during certain period. Customers are assessing their booking chose not only location, value but also facilities and offered services. So no informing them correctly is inappropriate and feels over paid because the offering services were not available. We stayed only 1 day, but we met other customers came to enjoy pool and sauna as a family and they were unhappy because booked for a few days for their holiday. I felt more sorry for them.
In general, location was good in the nature and calm. Rooms are comfortable, breakfast was average ..

Was a bit disappointed that we had no confirmation that the swimming pool was not going to be open. Even though Hotels.com had advised it to be open by the time we got there. Also the hotel is 20km from the centre of town? So you will need a car to get there.

Der Aufenthalt war im allgemeinen Okay. Was nicht so schön war ist, das die Servicekraft beim Nachfüllen des Frühstücks, die Lebensmittel mit der Hand angefasst hat. Die Zimmer waren Okay. Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Für 4 Sterne reicht es meiner Meinung nach nicht mehr.

Decent enough place if you need to be there.

The positive:
House keeping was prompt each day.
Bike rental was reasonably priced and very useful.
Dinner was good, if slightly overpriced (didn't try breakfast).
Nice location.
Free WiFi worked well (unusual in my experience for a hotel)

The negative:
Slightly shabby rooms, poor lighting in them.
Safe in room was broken (didn't need it though, so only reported it on the way out).
Beds were so-so on comfort level.

Broadly it felt more like a 3* than a 4* - perfectly reasonable to stay at, but that's about it.
To be fair, we didn't investigate the pool.

Very peaceful location. Rooms are nice and big. Our bathroom stank of what we assumed of stale water. Once we turned on the tap the smell went away. Big shower. Rent bikes and use their bike paths, they were great. Pool was also great.

There is the story I wanna tell.
I booked the luxe room with breakfast included. When I checked in, the front desk told me my booking did not include the breakfast.
I showed her my confirmation and it did show breakfast buffet.
There is something wrong between the hotel and Expedia.

The checking in process took me at least half hour to contact Expedia and finally the front desk told me it’s ok, you can go to your room and have the breakfast tomorrow morning.

When I checked out, the unfair thing happened. The hotel asked me to pay for the breakfast! She said I need to get the reimbursement by myself. I was so upset about that.

The problem is between the hotel and Expedia but the customer became the victim. That’s what I felt.

House keeping is a disaster!
The talk to each other very VERY load in the morning while cleaning + they don’t do a good job cleaning the room. Last day the housekeeping lady came inside my room a woke me and my wife from sleep to tell me that checkout is within 20 minutes!!!
They didnt evan bother to call the room!!

Nice for a remote and quiet break

This is more like a 3* hotel than a 4* hotel. The rooms are sparsely furnished and the beds are a bit too soft (old mattresses), but the bathroom is very nice. Food good. Staff on reception very friendly and accommodating. Good to hire bicycles and it's easy to go for a walk in the woods from the hotel. Pool is very big and the sauna is good (but the steam room is not a proper steam room).

A pleasant hotel in a quiet, green environment in the near proximity of the zwolle - leeuwarden motorway (junction Steenwijk). Breakfast was €10 per person with ample choice of bread, rolls, chroissants and all sorts of drinks. Rooms are clean and beds guaranteed a good nights' sleep. Highly recommended hotel!

Great stay in Spring 2017, the hotel is set in a wooded, green environment and has large comfortable rooms.Ours had a balcony which we enjoyed on the sunny days of our stay. Staff were helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed and informal. We enjoyed the pool which was warm and of a good size

The Fletcher line of hotels seems to want to nickle-and-dime you to death; this was my first of two during my vacation (April 2017). The carpeting in the room was really tired but the linens were up to European standards. Charging for a 'pool towel' and pretty much anything beyond the bare minimum reminded you that you are a paying guest, again and again.

I've stayed at this hotel twice before and was looking forward to coming back. Unfortunately our initial 'welcome' was not welcome at all; the receptionist (Jody?) was short, appeared unwilling to answer basic, usual questions upon arrival and made us feel like we were a pest; not sure if she reacted under pressure or if they were short staffed but it was not a warm welcome. However, we got exceptional customer service from Angelique in following days and the majority of other staff appeared helpful and friendly.
Room (2) was basic, nothing special but clean and because the weather was good all week, the lack of space didn't really matter too much as we were out most of the time and didn't need to hang out wet gear. A couple of times we had to ask reception staff for soap/shampoo/toilet paper as this was not refilled by chambermaids but got it straight away.
Trouser press, fridge, ironing board were all missing but I guess you could get two out of the three if you asked reception (?).
Breakfast buffet was fantastic and well stocked right up until breakfast time finished.
Bar/restaurant staff were accommodating when we asked for a light bite, rather than sitting down for a la carte menu.
A great base to explore the area; we hired (electric) bikes for the duration; the quality of bikes were exceptional - really really good! and were out on them all day. We ate out at various locations in Steenwijk on the way back to the hotel; plenty of choice and saved us another trip out.

Great hotel and surroundings!

Wonderful area, very quiet, in the forest but nothing scarry, great room, big bathroom, very good bed, good breakfast, very nice people at the reception, very good Wi-fi signal. Very good services - explaining us surroundings with multiple options you can pay directly at the hotel for visiting Giethoorn, bike rent, tennis court. The only one thing I was not very happy about was pretty could water at the pool and pretty could in the room.

Excellent hotel in beautiful peaceful woodland surroundings. Great place to relax in preparation for the busy MotoGP weekend. Good links to the main highways for the Assen circuit.
All hotel staff very welcoming and warm.
Easy transaction booking and finding available dates and rooms. Excellent range of food for breakfast in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. I would recommend the evening restaurant for that special dining experience.
We didn't have time to enjoy the pool ...good reason for a return visit!

Lovely escape in a rural setting!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Hotel-De Eese. The room was large and comfortable and we had a lovely balcony. The breakfast buffet was wonderful in the morning, and they often had treats out in a day room for guests to enjoy as well. Lots of trails to take advantage of and a truly beautiful swimming pool. The staff was very helpful also.

Kamer 229 was ruim en schoon, maar de badkamer rook als riool. Wel goed schoon maar niet te harden die lucht. Tevens gaat het licht daar automatisch aan en uit, maar de deur sluit niet goed dus s'nacht naar toilet en alle drie wakkeromdat het licht én aangaat én 10 minuten aanblijft omdat de deur niet sluit. Hôtel avec espace piscine/spa qui ne fonctionne pas (à priori depuis février). Piscine non disponible en plein mois d’août sans aucune information à ce sujet avant d’arriver. Nous avons booké cet hôtel pour cette prestation. Aucune compensation en retour à part le fait de partir un jour avant… dommage. Meilleure communication aurait été le bienvenu.

羊角村周遭的合適住宿

從地毯的破損可以看得出是一間老飯店，但是房間乾淨整齊沒有味道。我是入住雙床房型，房間大小適中。衣櫃空間足夠。我是三月中旬入住，晚上外面氣溫5～10度，雖有暖氣但太舊型了，像是電視的老節目會出現那般。雖然房間有一點冷（不至於太冷），在被子裡就沒事了，反而能看到復古的暖氣覺得很新奇。飯店周圍是樹林，很安靜空氣好。飯店內有泳池,可惜旅程時間緊湊沒有使用。
缺點1.電梯壞了，需要扛行李有兩層樓。看之前的評價似乎壞很久了。缺點2.房間內的煮水壺不乾淨，有黃黃的一層垢，不敢使用。

Erg rustig gelegen hotel. Veel parkeergelegenheid. Vriendelijk personeel. Standaardkamer is voldoende ruim. Badkamer met inloopdouche is zeker ok. Ontbijt is voldoende uitgebreid. De restaurantkeuken is heel goed.
Toch ook enkele minpuntjes, zoals een defecte lift (hoelang al?), kamertapijt dat beter laminaat zou zijn qua hygiëne, en een weerbarstige koffiemachine.

Das Hotel ist sehr alt. Die Zimmer sind zum Teil sehr schmutzig. Im Bad dicke Kalkränder in der Dusche. Im Zimmer schmutzige Teppichböden, sowie an der Decke Wasserflecken und die Heizungsrohre laufen an der Decke entlang, die man nachts rauschen hört. Die Fenster alt und vergammelt. Für den Preis viel zu teuer. Das Hotel selbst liegt direkt im Wald sehr ruhig. Aber das Hotel selbst müsste von Grund auf saniert werden.

La chambre ne était pas nettoyé pendant 3 nuits-> Pas d’aspiration (de toute!). Nettoyage de chambre: 3 min. -> ils ont que sortir de poubelles et remis le lit en forme. La bouilloire qui est dans la chambre ne fonctionne pas. La salle de bain est dégoûtant, trop salle, j’ai trouvé les chevaux en arrivant. La toilette est sale, je l’ai nettoyé moi même. Les serviettes sentent dégoûtant (même mon petit fils n’a pas voulu l’avoir sur son visage). J’ai pas eu l’impression d’être dans un hôtel 4 étoiles.

Een lange zwarte haar in bed en 1 in de douche. Muren en plafond zijn flink toe aan een schilderbeurt. Schoonmaak dame was uitermate vriendelijk en was toch erg druk. Alle kamers bezet met wat weinig personeel. Even stofzuigen was wel fijn geweest maar had ze misschien geen tijd meer voor.
