Very nice hotel with large rooms and great bathrooms. I sure was a walk in with a rain shower head and also included a large tub that had a radiator to keep the towels warm. A very nice luxury after a long day.
The hotel was clean and nicely decorated for the Christmas season. People are friendly and spoke excellent English. I would recommend this to my colleagues who will be soon traveling to the same area for work.

Our 3rd stay at this hotel, spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. Rooms are very large & bathrooms lovely. We did find the restaurant & bar prices quite expensive this time but the food was very nice. Will definitely stay again.

This is a very nice hotel, but I stayed in he suit and the a/c was terrible, it is only for the living room and never reached the bedrooms.
The hotel staff are very, very nice and I wrote to them before arriving and they answered my e-mails in no time with all the information required

This was everything you would expect of a 4 star hotel: clean, comfortable and well-run. The room was huge and the toiletries were generous in quantity and high quality. It was an easy walk into town and about 1/2 hour from Assen circuit.Very good indeed.

Unexpected poor service from Van Der Valk
A long wait to check in. One person working whilst 3 chatted behind the counter. Arrived late in the evening so wanted room service. No menu in the room. Went back to reception, no room service menu, sent me to the bar, no room service menu....just as I was about to give up one of the waiters said I could choose anything from the lunch menu and he could bring that to my room. This was the type of service I have come to expect from Van Der Valk hotels. Not the dismissive uninterested service I received from reception.

The hotel has ample parking and the reception is large and well appointed. The welcome was first class and check in a breeze.
We were given a room in the tower which was spacious. The room had 2 single beds, as requested, a large flat screen tv, kettle, coffee maker, two comfortable armchairs, a safe and ample storage space.
The bathroom was huge. Our room had a shower and a bath and a selection of toiletries.
Breakfast has an excellent choice and the food in the restaurant in the evening was excellent. The terrace overlloking a small lake is ideal for a meal or just a drink.

We checked in and left the room in a rush. We got back late almost midnight and noticed our room was extremely dusty, we can tell our bed and beddings are super dusty. My wife's allergies flared up that night and was not able to sleep. We made a mistake by not telling them so we can transfer to a cleaner room. Definitely not coming back to this hotel.

Geweldig hotel met goede service
Het verblijf was in een suite geboekt speciaal voor mijn verjaardag. Dus ultiem genieten van de faciliteiten was een ingecalculeerde wens. Het bubbelbad maakte het af, hoewel het kille TL licht nu niet de romantiek verhoogt. Als je eenmaal in het bad zit, is het uitzicht een beetje saai, maar ik vond het onsmakelijk om tegen een vieze verwarming aan te kijken. Design is mooi, maar hou het schoon.
Zo ook toen wij op de bank zaten en tegen het bed aankeken tegen vlekken die wij in ieder geval niet hadden gemaakt.
We hebben dit bij uitchecken vermeld en men bood direct excuses aan en vroeg om de foto's, dus we gaan ervan uit dat alles wordt aangepakt.
We komen heus wel terug bij Van der Valk.
Zo ook toen wij op de bank zaten en tegen het bed aankeken tegen vlekken die wij in ieder geval niet hadden gemaakt.
We hebben dit bij uitchecken vermeld en men bood direct excuses aan en vroeg om de foto's, dus we gaan ervan uit dat alles wordt aangepakt.
We komen heus wel terug bij Van der Valk.
