Check-in at this family home was easy and quick. The rooms had everything you needed. The house is in a beautiful country setting. We could hear the cows moo-ing as we said hello to the local ponies and then settled into the outdoor hot tub. Would highly recommend.

we stayed for 1 night in this beautiful property. it was so peaceful and serene. our room had a balcony and we were able to sit, watch the sun set, and take in the vastness of icelandic skies. there was self serve juice and hot cocoas available, which was very much appreciated after a long day of hiking and driving.

Part of the rooms are in the main house and the other rooms are in an addition. We were in the main house with four rooms and one bathroom. The bathroom was large with a large soaking tub with no separate shower ( shower handle in tub). Nice kitchen and family room in addition. It’s in a working farm area and not in a town. Would be hard to access without a car.

There was one bathroom for five rooms of people on our floor. a single Bathroom with commode and a tub with a hand shower was available….inadequate! The kitchen was in a different building next door. It was very small for the number of guests in the morning. The power went out when a toaster, hotpot and microwave were used at the same time. The location was clean but isolated out in the countryside. Would not stay there again

The guesthouse was a highlight of our stopover in Iceland. Great space and facilities with the most amazing host. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay there again some day. A perfect stop for an extended trip on the Golden Circle!

Cute farmhouse, guesthouse is separate from owners home, full kitchen, equiped with everything even spices (i didn't know this). Grocery store about 6 min away. Bedrooms are in upper level, all have locks, stairs are very steep, not good for older people (scary coming down), 1 bathroom for 9 people located on main level. I probably wouldn't choose this type of stay again but it was very affordable and it was for 1 night. Good location.

I enjoyed my stay here. Peace and quiet with a good kitchen/dining space to make your own meals. The room was a bit small for two but doable one night. It was a bit further out of town than I expected as Google maps for some reason puts it literally in town at a completely different property so be careful to go to the right place!

The view and room itself were fine. However, 3 rooms (up to 7 people) shared a bathroom on the first floor (bedrooms on second floor) that was down a very steep and narrow flight of stairs. Our room had multiple flies, which needed to be killed in order to sleep or guided out the window. No mention in the listing that bathroom is shared between 3 rooms!

Modern guesthouse located in a farm area easy to find. I stayed in the house with 3 bedrooms. Kitchen with all cookware and appliances. The stairwell to the upper floor is too steep, you must be careful. Bathroom is OK.

Clean, comfortable shared house on a farm

This is a lovely, clean, comfortable guesthouse in the countryside, on a farm outside Fluidir. It's convenient to a lot of great activities, including riding centres, the Secret Lagoon and Friðheimar, a very nice restaurant.

It would be great to get all three rooms in the annex house. If you had noisy or inconsiderate \"flatmates,\" there wouldn't be anywhere to escape them, not to mention the awkwardness around COVID distancing.

The single beds were comfy, and the shared bathroom was clean and functional. The kitchen allows for simple cooking. There's a nice lounge area, nice big dining table, and the views are wonderful. It's so quiet...not even birds to wake me up.

Plenty of parking.

Owner was pleasant and very accommodating. Property is a beautiful country setting and nicely located along the Golden Circle loop. It was clean and well kept. Would have been nice to have a few more basics like paper towels and napkins for the kitchen area, and body wash for the shower. The stairs in the second building are incredibly steep and quite dangerous when carrying luggage up and down them. Overall I would give this place 3.5 out of 5.

Guesthouse Dalbaer is a farm located on the Golden Circle. It is very convenient if you are continue along the south coast. I stayed at the single room on the second floor, which was more than enough for 1 person. I got to use the kitchen in the second house, where a group of guests had taken. Secret Lagoon is very close, but you can enjoy the guesthouse’s hot tub as well. The only complaint about this trip is the sheets. They didn’t change and hair from previous guest is still on the duvet. Yuk!

Relaxing, good value for money.

Really handy location if you are driving the Golden Circle. Nice quiet area beside a farm in near Fludir. The room was small but good value for money. There is a hot tub on the decking at the back of the house which was nice. It has a great view of the local countryside. Very Peaceful. Great place to relax after a hard day of trekking. Breakfast was more than adequate.

We enjoyed the country farm feeling waking up seeing horses playing around by our window. It also helped that we were lucky to be the only guest out of 3 rooms. So we have the guesthouse to ourselves. My wife enjoyed smoking her tired feet in their little hot tub. Beautiful place good value.

En arrivant, on nous demande comme prévu, de régler la nuitée. Avec une majoration, dont nous n'avions pas été prévenu.
Pas d'accompagnement à la chambre, pas d'explications supplémentaires.
Vers 20h30, nous sommes redescendus pour utiliser la bouilloire. C'est seulement à ce moment que l'on nous informe que la cuisine est privée et que celle accessible aux voyageurs est dans la maison d'à côté mais ferme à 21h.
Rien de grave mais c'est mieux de le savoir avant....
Le lendemain matin, nous descendons pour nous rendre à la cuisine de la maison d'à côté pour faire notre petit déjeuner. Mais on nous informe qu'il est l'heure de rendre la chambre (soit une heure plus tôt que l'heure mentionnée sur le site web de réservation...)

Sinon, la chambre est spacieuse et confortable. Une petit odeur de cigarette mais un coup de parfum à suffit à la neutraliser.
Le salon commun est génial et la grande salle de bain est top !

Anuncio engañoso, esto es la casa de una pareja que ha decidido alquilar las habitaciones de la planta superior, la cual solo tiene un lavabo disponible para 8 habitaciones y ellos viven en la planta de abajo haciendo uso también de las zonas comunes como era la sala de estar.

La supuesta piscina geotermal es una balsa en mal estado que no metería ni a mi perro ahí. Además la temperatura del agua no se asemeja a lo que pone en el cartel de la habitación, ya que, para nada, el agua estaba a 39ºC.

No teníamos acceso libre a la cocina ya que la que se encuentra en el edificio principal es de uso privado y la otra está en otro edificio. La propietaria fue reticente a dejarnos usar esta segunda cocina y tuvo que pedir permiso a los huéspedes de la otra casa para consensuar un horario para poderla usar. Cuando llegó nuestra hora, la cocina seguía ocupada por un grupo de personas haciendo una fiesta y tomado alcohol, por lo que la cocina estaba llena de botellas vacías y costó que nos cedieran la mesa para poder cenar.

Cualquier petición a la propietaria parecía que le molestara o lo hiciera a desgana.

Todas las deficiencias que tiene la casa se justifican como que son los estándares islandeses siendo la única estancia con la que hemos tenido problemas durante nuestro viaje de 10 días. Por suerte, solo estuvimos una noche.

Resumiendo, un alojamiento caro que no se corresponde con lo anunciado.

Achtung, Bettwanzen!! Die Unterkunft hat zwei Häuser, eins mit der Gastgeberin und ein Seperates neben an. Beim Frühstück juckte uns alles und wir hatten rote Punkte auf der Haut. Das Pärchen das neben uns saß war sich ebenfalls am jucken die ganze Zeit. Wir dachten erst Mückenstiche, da es ein Bauernhof, aber dafür waren es einfach zu viele, pro Person mind. 60 Stichte. Es war das Zimmer unter dem Dach, mit dem super schönen Ausblick. Der Arztbesuch zuhause bestätigte leider unsere Befürchtung das es Bettwanzen sind und keine Mückenstiche. Das Frühstück für 10 Euro ist leider nur von 8-9, also kein ausschlafen möglich. Nach dem Frühstück wollen alle Gäste aus dem Haus ins das Bad und sich fertig machen. Es gibt aber nur ein Bad für die Gäste. Entweder weniger Zimmer vermieten oder ein weiteres Bad anbieten. Wirkt leider so, das hauptsächlich die Zimmer voll sind damit Geld kommt und nicht das wohl der Gäste im Vordergrund steht. Wie beim Frühstück, 10€ bezahlt und im Anschluss sagte Sie, das es nur von 8-9 ist. Das Frühstück war okay, aber uns fehlten Brötchen, sonst gut. Wirkt so, als wenn man die Gäste schnell aus dem Haus möchte, wenn um 9 das Frühstück endet, checked man aus, wenn man als erstes im Bad ist, sonst muss man Stunden warten bis man \"an der Reihe\" ist bei 10 Gästen. Hier gibt es leider viel Verbesserungsbedarf aus meiner Sicht für ein Guesthouse. Da war unser Hostel im Schullandheim sogar besser. Die Gastgeberin sollte auch mal lachen und sich Unterhalten.
